X-Anime Janai
>>23642631Correct. F90 isn't anime (but it should be).
>>23642633This will look amazing on F80!
ZZ Ja Nai
I'm just pissed that this thing is coming out in the midst of tariffs, so I'm probably going to be paying twice what I otherwise would.
>>23642692write a blog
I'm going to guess that the Z pack will also be for the Cluster Gundam
>>23642692>OH SWEET BABY JESUS NOT THOSE TARIFFS NOOOOO
>>23642631It looks like fucking shit. The X thruster is way too bulky and gun shields are generally lame and better as side weapons like the Delta Plus.
>>23642741you can smell the greasy mexican hands behind this post
It's sad seeing them try to keep ZZ relevant when everyone knows its the worst part of UC.
>>23642692kys already please
>>23642752I'd rather not.
23642692Oh shut up already
>>23642631I wish it had something to hold in its hands, the open fists feel a bit empty
>>23643056From my point of view that's a good thing. MG F90 hands are notoriously bad.
>>23642631>>23642639I don't get it
>>23643189whats funny is that the bootleg F90 hands are actually better
>>23643465Imagine Bandai owns both the legit and bootleg factories.
>>23642639It keeps happening.
>>23643465Wait they are? Which bootleg, I think there's two.
>>23643554It's a cool pose.
>>23643554what's the second one? I like the monoeye shield
>>23644448Theta Plus
>>23643189I've bought every F90 kit and I disagree. No problems holding anything, they're nice. Only flaw is a lack of open palm for it and F91.
>>23642632Ankle winglets clipping into backpack or the shields is grating as fuck design
"This is an original design, so it's not a bootleg copy.""It's better made than Bandai's."To those who praise Chinese kits with such claims and mock fans trying to protect intellectual property as "Bandai cultists."I feel a burning rage at that "self-serving line-drawing."Have you ever faced the reality of how much the model industry is being eroded behind your glee over "best cost-performance ever"?What we're up against isn't just some "knockoff" level issue. Many emerging Chinese manufacturers hide their representatives' faces and names for a reason. It's because most of them are directly connected to criminal groups that once raked in huge profits from "complete bootlegs (dead copies)."Their business model is utterly malicious.1. First, they illegally copy and sell popular Japanese kits.2. They amass enormous "dirty profits" and "mold technology" from that.3. With that money, they develop "original-style kits" that barely skirt imitating Gundam's designs.4. They "clean up" and enter the legitimate market claiming, "This is original."In other words, that "insanely detailed original kit" you praise is nothing more than the product of "stolen goods laundering"—made with money and technology stolen from Japanese rights holders.Take a look at the products from Chinese manufacturers advertising "This is original~."It might be legally safe. But whose time and effort went into creating that silhouette, that color scheme? They're just freeloading off the cultural asset that Japanese companies built over decades: the idea that "giant robots = Gundam."Without taking on the risks or costs of creating a new robot culture from scratch, they're just slurping up the sweetest part: "Make it Gundam-like and it'll sell." If this isn't "theft," then what is?
>>23642737>I love giving the government a 20% tip every time I dare buy a product from another country
>>23648875If Bandai made things like the Solomon and Osiris people would buy them. It's Bandai's own incompetence and idiocy making a market for the Chinese sellers.
>>23648875Take it easy, it’s just a thread about the announcement of the F90 x type
>>23648923I honestly don't care, they're gonna take it anyway. It's no different than the VAT tax in Europe
>>23642632and here I was thinking the X-Type would be a prototype crossbone and not the ZZ Mk. II
>>23649165It's kinda in the middle. We have the X thrusters now attached to a core fighter, but they haven't combined that extra thrust/thrust vectoring to having a lightly armed suit that can move quick.
>>23653381
>>23653384
>>23653381>>23653384>>23653386Now all that’s left is Mission pack type Z(Zero)
Why is this called the X type, shouldn't it be YX?
What are the chances they rename this to the F90Z (Y Kai)?
>>23653456That would be too boring, I’m expecting the Z type to be something kinda crazy since it’s clear they’ve been saving it for last and is the most mysterious of all the A to Z mission packs.
>>23653392Don't forget Verethragna.
>>23653469Oh right, that’s definitely coming eventually, for now they’re highlighting the cluster because it is the title mobile suit of the manga after all
>>23653450Probably for uniformity. It is demonstrated with Cluster exclusively, because of the Core Fighter X-Fortress gimmick, but the model itself should be F90III-YX
>>23653463The only really radical directions left would be 1st-gen Minovsky Drive or a spiritual successor to the Unicorn (RX-0)
>>23653456Maybe if they would remember that it was supposed to be a stepping stone to Victory.>>23653463I feel like it's the opposite. We know that Z-type is supposed to be the first in F0 series, which reads to me like it would be a new generation of F9 series as a new high end mobile suit line for aces. And as the first MS in the series, it by itself should be fairly boring, like F90.
>>23653498>a spiritual successor to the UnicornSounds tame to me + we already got two Newtype packs already.
>>23653498Didn’t the W type already have that? It even activated a more restrained prototype of the wings of light>>23653517Makes sense, and the F0 would be a mass produced type though we don’t know if it ever did. Now the F92 being revealed would be a huge curveball
>>23653463SHOKEW's prototype "is" Zero Gundam... loose based on SD Gundam's lineup.
>>23653718Bespa doesn't have MSes built during F90
>>23655946why do some of them have red shoes?
>>23655960I-type and L-type are using F90II (read as "Dash") as basis here. N-Type is using F90II (as in unit 2) which have a different color scheme than the "classic" all-blue unit 1 and Cluster
>>23657077
X
>>23657553
I want to see Gun-EZs and Victorys equipped with F90 packs
X-14 is so cool...
>>23657553>>23657556So can they fire without deploying the handles and triggers?
>>23659687Yes, Seabook uses them to fire at the bugs chasing him when he already has both hands spinning the beam sabers defensively
>>23659854What's in the top 8?
>>23659854>Thread gets 404 due to low quality spam>Decides to make an off topic post here instead harassing the F90 X thread insteadYou can run, but you cannot hide
>>23659328oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh they're literally in the manualCalling it now, if the FF/Cluster series gets continued into Victory era or has some flash forward glimpse we will see something like this.
>>23660742Aren't the Victory-era Beam Bazookas just improved versions of the Cluster Gundam's beam bazooka?
>>23660763yep, it's just a slightly modified and modernized variant of it
>>23642636Will it be completely compatible? I'm worried about the backpack. If it's compatible I'll ask my friend to smuggle it for me.
>>23660860its still up in the air. the weapon packs dont include parts to make it compatible with other F90s.but Cluster Gundam has parts to make it work with the weapon packs. there's an attachment to the core fighter to make the Cluster able to use the F90 packs, you also have to replace the arm and leg parts to be able to equip it with the weapon packs. there's no indication that the Xpack is exclusive pack for the Cluster and not compatible with the other F90 but bandai didnt specify that it does have parts to make it usable by the F90s.at worst, you need to buy the Cluster Gundam to have the swappable stuff to make it work with the F90s and the F80
>>23660860>>23660884it's almost definitely compatible with base F90 out of the box, that's how it first appears in the manga
>>23660888Cluster Gundam's back without the corebooster has a different connector for the backpack compared to the F90, and from the initial pictures, the X pack has a connector only for the Cluster Gundam's back. so the hope here is that the X pack has parts to make the F90,F80 work with the X pack or else, you have to buy the Cluster Gundam
>>23660926And like I said it most likely has the other connector as well to replicate the first way it was depicted.
>>23660934there's a possibility that Bandai would be kind to pack the X-pack with parts to make it work with the F90, or be greedy and you have to purchase another version of the X-pack that works with the F90. because if you look closely, the X-pack that F90 uses is different from the X-pack that Cluster Gundam usesand yes, Bandai has been greedy enough to sell different versions of F90 packs when the difference was just the gun, instead of including it with the original pack
>>23642692The post that mindraped mutts
>>23660942Fair point on the differences, I haven't considered that angle. Now that I think about it, we're still due a Mars Gundam as well - the OMS-90 we have is the same in almost all ways of course but it does have the different hard points like in the lord, whereas Mars Gundam has both them and regular F90 hard points. They could throw in the beam shield and cannon too while they're at it. Or this could all get bundled together with Verethragna which could still be ways off given X-type is getting a kit first. You might be right after all, they could use this as an opportunity to stretch out the releases since we're slowly running out of F90 gear. Plenty of closely associated stuff like Silhouette of course, but it's not the same. And there's definitely enough demand for this stuff, base F90 had 40 fucking reprints on japanese PBandai now. AFAIK that's equivalent to about 5 regular retail runs but I could be wrong. With the I-pack I can sorta get it since it doubles as Crossbone stuff and there could be a lot of people that would like to get that but don't care as much about having an F90II, keep in mind regular I-type was bundled with the suit rather than sold separately. Arguably that makes the Jupiter spec a really good deal for some.
might as well ask here 012 is the bad F90 bootleg and Chengshun is the good one right? I sure hope so since Cheng is the one that made some missionary packs tio
>>23659328What would it give them over newly made equipment (especially considering that a lot of them were made for data collection first and foremost)?
>>23661571it's just fanservice at this point, it's cool to see continuity and references (to a degree). LM is a small organization that makes use of whatever they can to resist Zanscare, they are also generally known for fielding stolen, scavenged, and experimental gear. The unknown beam launcher and beam trident that was compatible with Uso's Victory Gundam was explained in F90FF to be weapons formerly used by the ATMOS\Draig.
>>23661609I like to think that Draig's armor was the base for Full Cloth.
>>23661571Not having to design and produce brand new gear, for starters. It's not like the packs are purely for data gathering, they are used by regular combat use models too.
F90 Setting Material Collection book printing has begun. It looks to be surprisingly text heavy, even if there's no new info in it (unlikely) it's probably gonna be the most comprehensive F90-era source to date.
>>23661617You mean inspired, because Full Cloth was obviously made with shelf nozzles, while Draig's armor is Penelope inspired. That said it would be neat to see Anaheim making it an optional mega boost equipment pack for their MS.
>>23661650I'm sure that at least some mission packs saw wider adoption, at least as extra Hardygun and Gunraid equipment, but usually even SNRI themselves prefered to develop new weapons based on recieved data rather than to use them as is.That said, by the time some of the later mission packs were made, Jamesgun already entered mass-production as the new mainstay EFF mobile suit.
>>23661713>>23661650
>>23661716Case in point, Blitzkrieg uses a modified Beam Lancer from I-pack (that wasn't even ready at the time of it's appearance) and Night Raid uses modified backpack from A-pack.
>>23661668Stealth Mandala Gundam ad.
>>23661670>Full Cloth was obviously made with shelf nozzlesit's actually dumber than that. Full CLoth is made from the anti-beam capes of the crossbone, just stacked into multiple layers until they solidified(?). Hence "Full Cloth", it's literally layered cloth
>>23661867It was both. Cloth was layered on top of nozzles. The funny part is that isn't a hack job, but an intended SNRI equipment plan.
>>23661867you might be stupid and/or illiterate, anon. How would that even work? Have you ever held any kind of fabric? I assume you have, you just can't apply even the most basic knowledge to critical thinking. You also can't read plain text and retain information provided by it.
>>23662011yeah, those words
>>23662011Thanks for finding that. I'm assembling the Full Cloth Gunpla right now and the idea that it's cloth made me giggle.
>>23657553>>23657556Can you really pose Twin VSBR F91 like that?
>>23662216That's the Metal Build F91 which is a pricey pre-made figure, I'm pretty sure it can pose them like that, otherwise it'd be a disappointment for its wallet-melting price. There is also a P-Bandai MG F91 v2.0 that comes with the twin VSBR setup, the articulation and style doesn't look anywhere near the same but for what it's worth, Dalong says "The VSBR articulation is quite flexible, allowing for easy positioning in various directions." in his review.http://www.dalong.net/reviews/cg/cgm126/cgm126_p.htm
>>23642633What was the first beam shield to not have an exposed emitter?
Do they ever mention what kind of insane powerplants they use for late UC suits? Sustaining multiple I-Fields plus all the other weaponry and beam shields on an even smaller package than ever must mean the reactors get crazy output
>>23662238yes there's quite a lot of writing on the new generation reactors starting from F90. The first miniaturized suits like Heavygun were made before that breakthrough and instead the backpacks are made to house the reactors that can't fit in the chest block. F91 and CV suits apply the same principle with stronger reactors to get even more output at the cost of making the backpack comparably more vulnerable than in old suits.
>>23662235They're always exposed, on X-pack there's just the Federation cross on top of the emitter
>>23662265>They're always exposedNope.
>>23662305fair enough, the brand marker is an exception. Though it never becomes the standard.
>>23662305It makes no sense for this to not have become the standard. Crossbone is kinda dumb
>>23662314evidently it's not effective enough to make up for the higher energy demand from manifesting an entire beam pillar to support itliterally just think you dumb motherfucker
>>23662314>crossbone fixed the problem>it's dumb???
>>23662316Except beams are cheap in late UC. You have shit like the V2 have entire kilometers wide beam wings as waste exhaust from the minovsky drive for basically free and its beam shields still don't have that feature. Even the Victory is perfectly capable of spamming beams non-stop and the brand marker-style beam shield would have saved Usso some trouble on one or two occasions.
>>23662314crossbone tech makes no sense in the first place
why are late uc threads always plagued by idiots
>>23662331>t. 70 IQ SEAmonkey brownoid
>>23662314"Hitting the emitter" isn't a viable strategy unless your'e a godlike newtype, the fact that beam shields are so OP shapes the entire late UC meta back into melee combat. And eventually they just start casually adding VSBRS or beams with similar anti-shield power into a ton of MS
>>23662365And guess what, they get damaged in melee combat too. It literally happens to Usso. The brand marker would be even better in those scenarios
>>23662422It happens literally just one single time in 50 episodes
>>23642692They hated him because he told the truth.
>>23662305Didn't some Victory MS have beam shields with the emitter hidden?
>>23662615Not quite the same thing but Early Contio models had the emitter mounted around the wrist area, allowing for greater versatility and protecting the front while using a weapon. However it was more difficult to handle so mass production models switched to regular type mounted on the side of the forearm.
>>23664260are the MS scaled properly, is this a tiny bee stinging Penelope's butt?
>>23664273basically yes
so what was up with F90's Minovsky Drive test equipment? Obviously it was refined into the W-type but what is it made of? I can see what would become W-type on the rear waist, D-type thrusters on the legs, V-type apogee motors on the front skirts and R-type cameras on the arms but what's up with the shoulders and backpack? Obviously they're not from any other pack so I guess they're some other general use data gathering gear or custom made for this test but the question is if they'll get reused anywhere else in the future.
