Either original Garo or original Ultraman. Whichever I finish last. Enjoying both though doing a very slow watch of the latter. I love Ide and Arashi so much. Two goofballs wrangled by Cap (Tachibana). For the former, I get why they use CGI a lot but the early eps where the Garo suit just does basic movements and acting to preserve the paint job turned me off a bit. Thankfully, it's getting better with the action. Also did not expect KR 555's Kitazaki to be the silver knight.

>>23649822Been watching the original Harlock TV show, but truth to be told, i'm not liking it as much as i liked Yamato (and i'm not huge on the old Yamato anyway). Just past the episode with Kei and his Fiancee, which admittedly was a very good episode, but as a whole it feels very clumsy and amateurish. Kiruta is my favorite character. I kinda see him as a foil to harlock, and ironic that a man with so much fighting spirit would defend a government as decadent as the one in the show. Maybe in a better show, this could have been a compelling dynamic, whatever.Maybe i'll just call it quits, watch the first movie (Mystery of Arcadia) and then watch Arcadia of my Youth, which is the main reason why i've been watching the TV show.Also been watching Mars Daybreak on the side, because i really like oceanic fiction, and it's fine. Nothing to write home about, but it's a pretty show. As expected from Bones. 2D robots are a treat.

Kiruta's a good character and he gets better, I was in comparatively disappointed with Arcadia Of My Youth though, as beautiful of a show as it was. Harlock's great, I heard Yamato was a bit lackluster in comparison, but it's something I have to watch myself (and 999), and I don't really expect to be disappointed by Matsumoto either.
