Angel Blade is pretty much Oobari's take on Tezuka's Star System with each "actress" going under a porn pseudonym that varies from blatant ((Son) Karin and Hazuki/Mizuki) to obtuse (Fudo Ayame/Shiranui Mai).

Kotobuki Tsukasa, Kimura Takahiro and Masami Oobari did a lot of character design for significant amount of ecchi mecha stuff.

And speaking of Kimura, I wish he hadn't left us before we got an anime adaptation of Shin Mazinger Zero.
