SF3D was more or less a collective effort with Hobby Japan and kitbashers, who made mechanical monstosoties from various model ranges and custom sculpts. Everything from Macross, Dorvack, Gundam, Star Wars, and Tamiya military models were mashed together and gave birth to one of a kind mechs. Models of these kitbashes and sculpt were made and sold, with a story revolving around this world coming out after the fact. Just bought Forever Winter. Game's clearly an unfinished buggy mess but the art direction fills that Ma.K shaped hole in my heart. Are there any other games or shows that do the same?
