>What is Ma.K?
Originally called SF3D, Maschinen Krieger came into existence in the 1980's, with Kow Yokoyama credited as being it's primary creator. SF3D was more or less a collective effort with Hobby Japan and kitbashers, who made mechanical monstosoties from various model ranges and custom sculpts. Everything from Macross, Dorvack, Gundam, Star Wars, and Tamiya military models were mashed together and gave birth to one of a kind mechs. Models of these kitbashes and sculpt were made and sold, with a story revolving around this world coming out after the fact. It's a niche range of militant mechs that has slowly gained attention over time. If you like Gundam and have a secret love affair with military vehicles give Ma.K a try!

Anons post your builds or wip!
Also feel free to share links to other shops that sell kits, books, and a third thing.
>>
I wonder how well the models would have to do for them consider doing some new animations for it. Or, more puppets with live action actors.

I built and painted my first MaK kit this year. He's a Großer Hund who plays music as he wanders. I've got a set of Artpla Hunds I want to get to soon.

Just bought Forever Winter. Game's clearly an unfinished buggy mess but the art direction fills that Ma.K shaped hole in my heart. Are there any other games or shows that do the same?

AI could work bringing the MaK universe to life, though I'm thinking the majority of MaK fans would be anti-AI types.

Carnage heart, kileak and phantom crash had yokoyama's involvement. He's also done the art for a bunch of very old tactics games.
I wish Masahiro Ito got a game made from his Acid Bufferzone setting sometime.

Im not pro AI, I always prefer human art, but in terms of making the world of MaK, with the backgrounds and detail and world-building that it would require, all of which is probably the reason the live action MaK is not going forward because of the cost it would involve to physically make all that, AI might be a more cost effective way to do that.

The bottom line for me is no matter how it was done, it would ABSOLUTELY have to pass the approval of Kow Yokoyama.

>Making a good product would take too much money
>Instead we should make a zero effort AI slop because at the very least we'll het something, even if it's awful
I bet you eat raw chicken because you're too lazy to cook it
>>
>>23666384
your making a lot of assumptions and assume using ai to produce a product would be cheaper than other alternatives

You can scream like a child all you want, but it is a matter of time someone will make a really good movie using AI, a movie that you will secretly like while you are screeching away to everyone how awful AI is.

That is what happened with digital effects. When if first started happening in the 80s, people hated it and said it was soulless compared to traditional, physical effects with models and props. Then Jurassic Park came along in the early 90s and all the haters went silent.

Like I said, Im not pro AI or trying to push it, but it is a tool and will be a cost-saving tool in the future. Eating raw chicken has nothing to do with it, you are so ignorant in you knee-jerk hate you dont even know what you are talking about.

I love him anon! the hat and cloak look really good. I'm guessing it's a custom sculpt from milliput or green stuff?
the last kit I built was an asf, I still have another asf that came with the kit I want to get to after my current project. I'm really happy with how he came out.

Is this a scratchbuild or does the kit come with this much detail? Also is this menat to be a racer? Then why does it have what looks like a gun in the middle? Is combat racing a thing in Ma.K? Is the universe run by the Hutts?

every figure I've gotten from anything other than brick works, wave, or hasegawa has been unusable. and it doesn't help that they are resin; with miscast, missing material, and excessive material on places that are impossible to fix: like on the actual eyes, for example.

Imagine my surprise when I open a 1/35 Nutrocker from my dad on Christmas! Knocked it out of the park, old man. I seriously underestimated just how big this thing is and its just the 1/35 version. Almost a little thankful that I sat out the 1/20 Oskar that's coming out next year, I just don't have the space for something that big.
