What's the point of mecha anime when you know the good guys will always win?
>>
Is that so?
>>
What's the point of living if you'll die?
>>
>>23661267
What do you mean zeon loses everytime?
>>
What's the point of eating if you'll just have to shit and piss later?
>>
>>23661657
perhaps the point of good eats is smooth poops
>>
The bad guys won in Gundam Wing and 00.
>>

>The good guys didnt win in Betterman.
They did, but the cost was high.
>>23663302
Yep, but the damn Algernon is still around...that is until it gets finally terminated in GaoGaiGar vs. Betterman by chance.
>>
>>23663433
So like I said, when have the good guys ever actually won in Gundam?

Without spoiling too much lamia and the bettermen werent good guys, they just happen to be fighting against the "bad" guy that wanted humanity dead for their own reasons. Remember that they were mad at lamia for protecting hinoki instead of going after kankel.
It goes without saying that the humans got themselves into that mess by trying to play god and only one group was actively trying to fix it after the dive inspection.

Algernon does create seeds, but the Bettermen at this point are like anti-bodies that use the seeds to fight any Algernon situation.
When GaoGaiGar vs. Betterman happens, one of the Bettermen managed to artificially mass-produce seeds without the need for infected corpses.
Said Betterman's hobby was also bringing back extinct species back to life.

They explained this it in the show. The seeds werent just from the victims of algernon.
How was lamia and the other bettermen able to transform in the past before Algernon existed.
Algernon in the show came about as a result of the dive inspection .
Sometimes i get the feeling nobody actually watched the show and gets all their info from the GGG side of things to put the story together.
>>
>here's 4 le counter examples
You know what I mean, 95% of mecha is about simplistic good guys beating formulaic bad guys with stock footage and I hate it
Shit like Raijin-Oh and Gaogaigar are mind numbing
>>
>>23664374
The good guys won but the fight continued.
>>
Because good deserves to flourish while evil deserves to be punished.
>>
>>23665064
i assumed separate isolated algernon-like incidents happened in the past, i don't remember i feel i missed something
>>
>>23665731
Then get the fuck off my board retard
>>

Almost every mecha anime ever made has no heroes. I'd argue that Gundam is a franchise that hate heroes.
