Of all the experimental weapons demonstrated in MS IGLOO I feel like the mobile diver system had the most actual potential. It's using aquatic MS parts Zeon doesn't have any use for and could strike the fed's space capabilities without putting any of their own at risk, with a huge potential trade off considering how much what is effectively a mobile armor costs compared to a ship
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2f9YF672Ea4found this when i was looking up Igloo stuff trying to find von Kuspen's birthday just nowa lot of the stuff in Igloo does a good job at showing how desperate Zeon gets near the end. this thing is pretty effective in G Generation too as something that can fly and the like. but it's just so ridiculous and really serves to show how desperate Zeon gets at the end
>>23665424sorry my brain is fried i typed the same thing two times
>>23665212The scattering cannon version seemed to work pretty well. I don't know why it was written off as a failure.
>>23665433it's less that it was specifically a failure and more that zeon was just cobbling together anything that had a chance of working and tossing it into the atmosphere to delay, damage, and distract the feds' launch into spaceit's not like they envisioned an orbital defense network of ze'gok divers, but at some point zeon retreated far back enough that they probably couldn't even safely send ships into earth orbit to deploy the ze'gok to attack the feds anymoreand then at that point there wasn't much of a reason to build any more of them when they had to start worrying about the defense of solomon and a baoa qu instead
