>>23667320>Digimon Time Stranger sells 1 Million copiesAnd it's a success rightfully deserved.Hoping the next Digimon Story will get an even bigger budget.
>>23667320Really love the aesthethics of digimon's cyborg stuff.

The gekko is cute
You think Tai and Izzy guilt trip their friends about their war game whenever they don'g want to do digimon stuff?
What will his name be?
>>23664027Next chapter arriving on Christmas.
>>23667320>>23667375How good is previous digimon game like cybersleuth, world and survive?I am planning to play cybersleuth because it looks like the world has connection with time stranger
>>23667540Cyber Sleuth is good, it was made for the Vita but it is still a good game and the predecessor to Time Stranger. World Next Order is a direct sequel to World 1 with the new mechanic of raising two digimon at once, Survive is a visual novel with some light SRPG gameplay.
>>23667504You seem to have a very warped interpretation of the original Chosen Children's interpersonal relationships.
>>23667549At least it’s not shipping
Say what you will about Ghost Game but those Ultimate Evolution episodes were great.
>>23667561I'd say it's on the same level of brain failure as shipping.
>>23667386What are your thoughts on this Cyborg then?
>>23667584I like it? I appreciate the stealth bomber sword boomerang on a digimon whose whole thing is being invisible.
>>23667584>we want the groizer X audience
Episode 12's synopsis: Tomoro regrets that Kyo and Gekkomon were injured because of him, and he begins to face his job as a cleaner anew.

>>23668070Please do not post suggestive images of the Wolver
>>23668077The suggestion is she's a jobber. Which she is.
>>23668081Ok but geekkomon gets his ass beat at least as much as wolvermon
https://nyaa.land/view/2053907How was Beatbreak's 11th episode?
>>23667584Is the stealth bomberang also a digimon?
>>23668472>>23668338They really love kicking his ass huh?
>>23667572Pissed me off they're not in Time Stranger
Is the new anime any good?
Which Digimon did you vote for?https://twitter.com/digimonweb_net/status/1996103139146277347/photo/1
>>23668586It’s Savers for a modern audience

>>23667572I wish Jellymon turned into a slutmon instead of King Gainer
>>23668858Already happened
>>23668597Terrisuke
>Gekkomon didn't evolve>He devolved insteadUuuh, guess there's next week. How many more episodes in the year? 12 and 13? I remember them saying the new ending theme would debut in the new year, so that would be the first cour ending.>>23667984>Cougarmon > Murasamemon is fucking Naotoshi ShidaHilarious how his style stands out so much, especially when mixed with the other sequences for immediate comparison>>23668757Don't shit on BeatBreak like that
>>23668949>Uuuh, guess there's next week.He actually ended up devolving to his Baby I stage of Kekomon. I'd be surprised if he evolves straight through to Gekkomon next week.
>>23668949E pulse is basically digisoul and they had a fucking yukaza mini arc kyodai
>>23668955Minus the fact that Digimon in BeatBreak need to eat e-Pulse to survive, while DigiSoul is simply a way to will your Digimon to evolve based on the intensity of your fighting spirit. One permeates the series in a way that influences its plots and entire world, from the Pandamon episode to the BlackGaogamon episode to why humanity's relationship with Digimon is what it is. The other is more like a hotblooded flashy power-up that's just there to try and match the vibe of the main character. Tomorou is also thematically connected to e-Pulse, as he's a drummer (something I wish they made sure to reinforce more by giving his everyday actions rhythm or showing his worldview as following his own beat) and they use a shit ton of words relating to pulse, beat, heartbeat, rhythm, etc.The difference in character writing is also really noticeable. When Tomorou is being standoffish or uncooperative or moody and other characters suffer for it, he realizes his faults, learns a lesson, and grows as a person. When Masaru is being angry and violent and confrontational and everyone else suffers from it or is wracking their brains trying to figure out the logic behind what he's doing, the plot will bend over backwards to explain why Masaru is in the right to stand in front of an oncoming freight ship thinking he can punch it and beat it in a fistfight and all the characters will act like there was never anything to worry about.
>>23668862Much better
>>23668951>KekomonIf this was a couple years ago everyone would be pissing themselves over that name.
>>23668466No it's just part of Invisimon basically his Scrander.>During battle, it fights by brandishing its partner, the "Stealth Wing", which is also endowed with optical camouflage functions. The Stealth Wing can be used as a long-distance navigation unit by being mounted to Invisimon's back, and is also capable of flying solo thanks to its autonomous AI, and by communicating with Invisimon, it can share what it sees from the sky.>Its Special Moves are throwing the Stealth Wing, and unleashing a slash attack that cannot be seen (Invisible Cutter)The rest of his lore is pretty fun basically its implied the Crack Team made it look like a flashy super robot as a distraction to cause diversions while other Crack Team Digimon attack elsewhere.
>>23668597I had to vote Jellymon because I miss that little shit and I wanted to see more of Amphimon. But knowing my luck we will get ultimates in the last 10%of the games next time again lol. And that Argentinian guy will probabaly just bot the poll oh well .I almost voted Ukkomon, Chackmon, Koemon and Ghostmon but that stupid little shit Jellymon is stuck in my head
>>23668992>the plot will bend over backwards to explain why Masaru is in the rightSavers never does this even onceWhen Masaru causes problems doing what he does, no one says that he is right to have done that, what happens is just that he impulsively comes up with some other solution that happens to work, but it doesn't change the fact that he caused the problem in the first place and he had to figure out something else to make up for his mistake and resolve it. See the Drimogemon or Meramon episodes for example
>>23668597Skull Knightmon, obviously, I'm sick of XW getting snubbedIf that weren't the case I would've voted BEMmon though
>>23668519It's a shame we're probably going to get tons of shambala stuff so soon after Time Stranger because Amphimon and Thetismon are named after Greek gods and could have fit in there. Also her and Diarbbitmons evolutions were really well animated. I'd put them up there in my favourite stock evolution scenes too
Next week is the week I can feel it.I actually am enjoying the slow build up though and Chiropmon only just evolved too which was great.
>>23668597Koemon is the only correct answer. He has been kept away from a chance at being playable so many times that it's fair to give him one in a new game.>Locked behind a counter in Dawn/Dusk.>NPC in a quest for World DS.No more blueballing.>>23668862She really does have something for everyone. I didn't have any faith on Jellymon at the beginning but she quickly became my favorite during Ghost Game.
>When digimon digivolve, they download data from a cloud system to attain a new form. >This cloud is where all the actual lore of Royal Knights, the metal empire and everything else takes place
>>23669038I'm mostly thinking of when Masaru went to the Digital World 10 years after a Digimon holocaust perpetuated by humans and he doesn't even try to explain anything, he just immediately resorts to fighting because that's what he does, and Mercurymon thinks to himself "This boy has passion, the passion in his fists, what a man he is to exchange conversation through fists!" like that makes any sense at all. Because that's how Savers treats its problems, by handwaving away any chance of discussion. The only times I like Masaru is when he's used for comic relief like uncharacteristically begging Thoma to give his little sister the best birthday ever because he has to retake exams that day, or when he's unsure of himself. Also just throwing this out there, but it is really cathartic to watch Masaru defeat Kurata, possibly the high point of the series, but Kurata is a character who is written to be so unlikeable that I think the only thing people do like about him is watching him suffer that defeat. Compared to antagonists like Devimon or Etemon who have a charismatic quality about them even as antagonists.
>>23669180>this man has no passion in his fistsSad
>>23669180>I'm mostly thinking of when Masaru went to the Digital World 10 years after a Digimon holocaust perpetuated by humans and he doesn't even try to explain anythingHow is he supposed to explain what he doesn't know? The exposition dump doesn't really happen until he does make it to Mercurymon, that's when Kurata and Yushima show up to fill him in. Until then his mission was just to stop Mercurymon since everyone thought Mercurymon was behind all the Digimon attacks on humans
>>23669103This just makes me wonder. If a Tamer was smart enough, couldn't they control what data they give there Digimon?
>>23669222I think that's basically what you're doing in Digimon Games when you're trying to meet the parameters for specific evolution trees
>>23669206My problem is everything is shoot first, ask questions later with him. He never told Piyomon the danger he'd be putting Chika in by being her partner and forcing her to enlist in DATS (kind of a nonsense premise, but so is having a group of teenagers and later Ikuto as your government organization), he just tries to fight him to drive him away.
>>23669222Digimon Accel and Story Dawn/Dusk did that
>>23668338Frustrating, but decent. Wanted to rip my face off watching Tomoro and Gekkomon argue, but that's clearly the point, so good job there. Not too many shocking revelations besides outright confirmation about Kyo, but some great character work in that scene.>>23669046They didn't use Pipismon for Chiropmon's adult, why would they use Chameleomon's for Gekkomon? It would be kind of funny though.>>23668992>Tomorou is also thematically connected to e-Pulse, as he's a drummer (something I wish they made sure to reinforce more by giving his everyday actions rhythm or showing his worldview as following his own beat)Haven't they done that already? It usually comes up regularly. The only reason it didn't come up in today's episode was Tomoro being preoccupied with Asuka's present and feeling guilty about his circumstances.
>>23669362I mean that I would prefer if they did it in a character acting way rather than explicit flashbacks that are there to remind you who he is. Have him tapping his feet while sitting down for dinner or his fingers on his arms when he's got them crossed, just minor things that aren't emphasizes. Not saying they have to go full Baby Driver since he's more about a beat than music, but that would elevate both casual and action scenes to have rhythmic SFX tied to the actions.I liked this episode because I think it's still at the point where you can do a relapse plot like this and not have Tomorou come off as out of character. He's clearly opening up with everyone by telling them his circumstances, but Asuka is also the most sensitive topic to him. I like how Tomorou's concern wasn't just Gekkomon being seen, it was that he felt insecure about bringing a Digimon to see him when it was a Digimon who put him in that condition, there's still a lingering resentment. Obviously Gekkomon was at fault too with how impulsive he is, but Tomorou's aversion to actually opening up to Gekkomon about his personal life prevents them from coming to a mutual understanding. They're both portrayed as sympathetic but in the wrong, with their particular character flaws coming to a head.I just hope that this doesn't discount a dark evolution going forward, give me DuskGekkomon and DawnGekkomon.
Late to the party but I just reached the endgame of Time Stranger (the dumping of side missions). My question is: Are the Royal Knights the exact same ones from Cyber Sleuth? I mean Omegamon is heavily implied to be one since they lowkey mentioned Nokia, and Jesmon is Gankoomon's student, but I'm specifically referring to the evil ones like LordKnightmon, and maybe even Alphamon. Since it'd be weird for them to be all heroic whereas LordKnightmon wants to destroy Earth.
I started watching Adventure Colon, I appreciate that Toei actually tries to animate now, but characterization just feels off. The kids act more like how they were near the end of the original series instead of the beginning, way too okay with everything.
>>23668338Wanted to watch BB for this cuteBut these ugly faggot fursonas >>23667989>>23668070Made me unable to watch it.I can't stand fursonas
>>23669545The thing about Colon is that it's the absolute battle shonen of the franchise. Only watch it for the fight scenes, characterization be damned.
>>23669436It's intentionally vague. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Maybe the upcoming DLCs will reveal more. The first one certainly didn't. Kyoko is from a bad future, yet the one we see in that pre-order side mission looks the same as the one from the future. So, there's obviously weird shit going on with the holdovers from Cyber Sleuth.
>>23669573Hell when the game started and we traverse through Shinjuku in crisis I thought we were following the events of Cyber Sleuth
>>23669548Also watch it for Mimi.
>>23669545It's just how it is. It's kind of like if Digimon Adventure went on for 25 years like Pokémon and the cast reached their soft, inoffensive plastic status. It's fine, the original still exists, and I get the impression that Adventure: is the way it is by design. For example, they don't really get into Yamato and Takeru's backstory or even show their parents, but you know it's all still there.Where Adventure: really shines is in some of its animation (the Millenniumon episode is a real highlight) and its many, many deep-rooted references from althroughout Digimon history. Never thought I would see the original wireframe Golemon from World get referenced, or AtamaDekachimon and MiniDekachimon appear in anything ever.
Is the Figurerise line done? I was kinda hoping for a Kabuterimon miracle or something.
