The /m/ part of the show was the worst part about it. If it just stayed as space lord of the flies, I would've enjoyed it more. except that last plot twist was stupid. He did NOT need that extra motivation lmaoI'm also gonna get flamed for mentioning this but I did like the social commentary of how it explores different governments, if you've ever read Money Game, it's similar. You have the strong armed government where a small set of the people control the others and only those who work their share can earn their keep. It's brittle though and held upon the people with power to keep it. Then you get the kind king/communism where it's everyone for everyone but this can run into the people abusing the power. Then you got the dictatorship or "true communism" where fuck it everyone obeys or fucking else.

I love how they just hail mary'd it away for "space battles" because "ohhh uhhh actually each spaceship is like using alien stuff or something like that and alien stuff makes you go CRAAAAAAZY". There's a lot of neat things about Infinite Ryvius but it feels like a producer came in and just went like "yeah I'm not going to allow this unless we have epic space battles" and the guy said "fuck it, epic space battles it is"
