Welcome to the Gunpla/Plamo General!

For those new, please read our guides. We have many resources available to help you in many different aspects of the hobby. They're here for you!

For the unclear, "plamo" is short for "plastic model". "Gunpla" is thus short for "Gundam plastic model". Many different kinds of models are built here, ranging from mecha to planes, cars, musume, you name it! If you're new, you're gonna screw up. Don't worry! If you're seasoned, don't make the newbies worry!

And don't forget to report shitposting and spam. The mods don't browse /m/ too often, so it's up to YOU to help keep our general clean and civil!

>Why won't anyone answer my question?
Be more specific, and try to provide clear images if you can.

>Why are my pictures sideways?
4chan strips EXIF data when images are uploaded, including the orientation tag if it's from your phone. To fix it save out your images separately, or use an app that will rotate and save the images for you.
One easy to use app that works well on Android:

== ACE CUSTOM GROUPBUILD ==

Build, customize, and paint a grunt mobile suit up for use by an ace pilot.
>You are taking the role of the Ace Pilot here - You're making the design choices when it comes to loadout, paint scheme, and suit customizations.
>Think about what your Ace specializes in, is he all in on offensive power, speed and maneuverability, or bulk and defense?
>While your pilot is an ace, he's not so special that he's getting super secret prototypes like Gundams or Mobile Armors. Keep your grunt relatively grounded to whatever setting it's from.

They keep trying to push Tallgeese III and GQ RX-78-1 onto us. I'm starting to take this personally.

Though on the flip side, this is the first time I've seen G-Defensor in like two years, so at least there's a positive.

>>
>>23674592
>>23674599
Without tariffs it would probably be in the $35 range.

I'm more irritated that there isn't anything else good in the May catalog. I don't have a Hashmal, or a RG Gundam Mk-II, and $62 for a Trombe is a bit out of my price range.
>>
>>23674320
iirc the turtle wasn't that long ago
>>
>>23674617
Isn't the RG MK2 retail? Why pay the Pbandai tax?
>>
>>23674320
their silence is deafening
>>
>>23674620
I meant, I don't own a RG Mk-II so buying the G-Defenser would be kind of a waste. And my box fort is big enough that I'm not looking to unnecessarily expand it just to spread the shipping charges around on a P-Bandai purchase.

I guess I can afford to wait for a better catalog selection, and/or for the tariffs to blow over. After all, Cluster Gundam has been regularly available ever since it was released, same with N-Type. No reason to expect this not to be the case with X-Type. I could also just wait and see if anything else shows up in the May catalog, moreso since they removed the consolidation feature.
>>
>>23674624
Oh is the G-Defenser compatible with the RG and not just the HGUC? Flying armor obviously is, but if you can make an RG Super Gundam it would be neat.
>>
>>23674625
The P-Bandai G-Defenser is just the add-on from the old 2002 HGUC kit, except with waterslides and an adapter part so that it can fit onto the RG (by default it can attach to the 2015 Revive with no extra parts). Apparently it's still a good kit despite being so old.

I do have the 2015 Revive (bought it as a pair with the Titans version), so technically I could still benefit from buying this alongside the X-Type mission pack, but apparently it's explicitly molded in colors that are the same as the RG kit. So if I do end up buying it, I would either need to acquire a RG Mk-II in the future (along with more third-party waterslides), or turn the Titans version into kitbash fodder (shock!). Boy do I hate first-world problems.
>>
>g-difenser & flying armer set
how did they fuck it up that bad
>>
>>23674643
I think they feel obligated to list the products based on the actual name on the box, despite it being blatantly wrong. For instance, Tallgeese Flugel is always listed under Fluegel, and the pre-Decade Kamen Riders are all listed as Masked Rider.
>>
>>23674639
Huh might pick it up then even though I have the old HGUC MK2+Flying Armor kit.

New Chinese studio will release the YenXing as a kit, only rendered images for now.

GA: Hello everyone, after a long time polished, we brought the studio's first work, many 5 Star Story players' grudge, all modeled to reset Five Star Story - Fire Star.
The studio was set up to allow everyone to play with better models, a better assembly experience and the simplest production process. This time, only modeled renderings, wait for the next update to be a real sample picture, please stay tuned. #Five Star Story # #Assembling Model #

But but anon, it is impossible to snapshit Nanago's masterpiece stick figures?!! I thought his designs transcend the boundary of modelkit engineering?!
>>
>>23674832
More often than not, they're literally the only option you have if you want a kit of something that isn't a hero or main antagonist MS. Especially in recent years, where MG releases have slowed down to a trickle, RG still have yet to do anything that isn't a primarily featured MS, and 1/100 HG / RE/100 / Full Mechanics releases are either once in a blue moon or outright extinct.

Also, the wide abundance of kits and parts makes them excellent for kitbashing/customization projects.
>>
>>23674926
