The Spartan felt more like home than any other mothership in Gundam, I hope one day they keep going with the anime. It's kind of crazy how the entire thing goes to shit the second the OYW ends. There's a perfect story of two guys going nuts trying to kill each other on the battlefield and then it just keeps going for like twice as long. It's like reading Fist of the North Star all over again.Just add like one five minute alternate ending where they both kill each other in the final fight of s1 and the battle goes on without even really noticing and it's perfect.

Daryl is pulling some "h-hayai!" shit in the Perfect Gundam but that's just manga depiction of fast movements, a gundam casually taking out grunts is nothing new. And every time there's bene a gundam wrecking face, they get outnumbered by competent pilots and are instantly in trouble. The whole point of the TRUST squad is avoiding this exact scenario

As someone who doesn't really like Thunderbolt, I read it all just to see what the author would do once the OYW war was over.I want to add that Io's story should have ended much earlier. It didn't really make much sense to keep him around after the end of the OYW or after the destruction of the Spartan. Io's story was pretty much concluded around that time. Yet the author insisted on keeping him in the story. I guess as soon weird "Reverse Char" (what if blonde guy was fighting for the Federation instead??) clone rival. However Io lost 4 times to Daryl in combat. So I don't understand what's the point in keeping Io around. I felt like the story could have evolved naturally into something much more interesting. A story focused on Daryl after the OYW. A man trying to find purpose after Zeon falls. But he gradually loses everyone he cares about and is left alone by the end. A wandering samurai type of story could have worked better.

An easy solution would have been to promote them if he wanted to continue the rivalry so they were commanders instead of steadily improving pilots who could do continuously ridiculous shit.Again, I liked thunderbolt for the designs - psycho zaku was amazing when it was introduced. But he never really tried to innovate past that and we got more psycho zaku that were now grunt units, and one psycho zaku wearing a gundam costume while using the braw brow as a meteor unit. Like, the return to space arc was the blandest shit ever. No new suits (not that he needed it), and instead they just gave the GMs more shields and let them link up and turn into a shield ball. Like, get the fuck out of here with that pajeet logic. UC shields were decent, but adding more and letting them link up like some sort of magnetic tortoise is ridiculous in a lazy an uninovitive way.
