Fuck Zeztz
>>23676110at least NOX! is still being an enemy even as a rider. it would be annyoing as hell for him to be forgiven for the literal acts of terrorism he committed so far.
>>23676137This poster >>23676117 literally pits them together, no buddies yet until late 20s
>>23676110I'm glad they didn't make him a good guy immediately like I thought was gonna happen.

What are your evaluations on Zeztz's first quarter?
>>23676110I hate they didn't make him a good guy immediately like I thought was gonna happen.
>>23676161Was kinda episodic and because of that, I wondered how the story was going to develop properly. But the last 3 episodes have started moving things forward and sort of eliminated a lot my concerns so I'm really looking forward to where it goes.
That Booster Rider Kick was insane
>>23676110>>23676137I'd say, you're full of shit, NOX.
>>23676110LET’S GO RIDER KICK
>>236761617/10, I'm glad they haven't redeemed Nox yet, but since it's clear they're going to do so eventually I just hope Baku gives him at the very least a massive fucking beatdown, like Ex-Aid VS Parad levels of beatdown.Really love the directing of the show, the cast and the Kaijin, biggest weakness of the show were the characters of the week but it seems they'll become less prominent the next quarter which makes me excited for the rest of the show.
>>23676161Not the most outstanding Q1 we've gotten or anything, but it was okay. It was mostly carried by its solid MC, good cinematography, and some decent plot hooks. I think it was hurt by several plot contrivances, largely whatever weekly cases, lack of interactions between side characters and having Nox as the only recurring villain. The fights have really cool shots, but the choreography itself has been a step down from Reiwa's standard.
>>23676202>but it seems they'll become less prominent the next quarter which makes me excited for the rest of the show. The producer said he wanted the show to remains episodic throughout the first half. Next episode is actually the start of another weekly case.
>>23676161Compared to the other Reiwa Q1s personallyZero-One > Revice > Gavv > Geats > Zeztz > Saber > GotchardI still hate how much I liked Revice's first quarter, it's still disappointing how that show turned out later. But overall I liked Zeztz's Q1, it isn't the most wowing beginning but it's still pretty great and I'm fairly excited for how the show will continue later on, specially since it seems Zero will be fighting more from now on.
>>23676077Interesting episode, but not the most exciting end to a Q1 in recent years, I'd even say this was the least exciting Q1 end in Reiwa so far.I thought Baku would need to do more to recover his lost Capsems, but he just had a conversation with Zero and proceeded to pull all the Capsems out. Dunno, even with the excuse that they're tied to his mental state, it feels kinda cheap and underwhelming, and it also makes Erase look like less of a big deal.I was worried Nox would have a dumb fear of darkness, but they justified it pretty well by tying it into his fear of Nightmares and CODE. I like that he hasn't been fully redeemed yet, but his tsundere banter with Baku feels like it came out of nowhere, those two haven't interacted nearly enough to make me feel like they'd loosen up to each other like that.I was also expecting the PSB duo to end up finding his real body, which they did, though they left empty handed so they didn't end up making much progress other than Fujimi learning he's alive and that there's something weird going on with him.Nem also helped out a bit this time around by showing some sympathy towards Nox and using her knowledge of his fears to make Baku help him out.The most interesting part about the episode was the scene with Nox and The Lady at the end. Now it's been revealed he's part of a seemingly evil group that seeks to end CODE and blur the lines between dreams and reality, and the lines from Zero and The Lady make me believe that the "real" world that Nox seemingly wants to destroy might actually be just a dream. I also feel like Zero isn't really evil, just very pragmatic about his goal to save the world, who knows about CODE itself though.
>>23676344 cont. Now that KR Nox is debuting next episode, I can safely say that Nox Knight was a very underwhelming foe, it and the Shadow Nightmare didn't really feel like they needed an upgrade form to be beaten. Also, I wish Booster fought for a bit instead of going straight for the finisher.Let's see if Baku will keep wising up in regards to CODE or if he's gonna keep doing nothing with the key info he receives for months on end.
>>23676077>>23676117It’s kind of interesting that the show seemingly puts Zeztz against two evil organizations (CODE and Nightmare squad) with virtually no backup and will have to handle both alone. It may bring some interesting conflicts, especially if he flip flops between helping one or the other, even as enemies. I’d like to believe CODE isn’t purely evil and are mostly just very strict peace keepers. Despite being willing to sacrifice agents, they are right in protecting the world from people like Nox who would manipulate a kid’s mind to bring forth planetary genocide. But considering it’s Takahashi, they’re probably just DGP 2.0. In any case, no way Zero remains the bad guy for long as he is the bike, and needs to stay as the main guy’s bike forever due to marketing purposes. So even if he and Baku fight, they’ll reconcile. What I don’t like is Nox being portrayed sympathetically when his crimes are genuinely foul. Attacking people he’s known and using them as living bombs to destroy humanity is monstrous, and pretending he’s this sympathetic rouge just because he didn’t kill Baku is dumb. He’s not as bad as other villains Takahashi has redeemed, but he’s still a dirtbag. At the very least he’s not a good guy yet, but that only makes Baku leaving him more irresponsible, as now he is partly to blame for all the sins he commits next. One bad doesn’t justify the other, and as shady as CODE is, I have no reason to trust Nox more than them.Guess we’ll see how the plot thickens, but while I like a lot of this, I do not care for our secondary.
>>23676161The action has been excellent, but the plot overall has been rather generic and unexciting. I didn’t mind the episodic nature as much as the entire cast being very flat. These last few episodes have redeemed some of that, but a lot of the plot is still retreads of stuff we’ve seen in previous Reiwa series with no interesting approach other than the dream setting. But even that setting is flawed, it removes a lot of stakes by putting characters in fake situations that they can easily get out of. That said I don’t hate anything from the show. It entertains me enough to keep watching and has likeable moments. It’s just that it has nothing exciting or interesting me other than the action. It’s an inoffensive, yet fun season of Kamen Rider, which would put it on a solid B spot in my ranking.
>>23676445>It’s kind of interesting that the show seemingly puts Zeztz against two evil organizations (CODE and Nightmare squad) with virtually no backup and will have to handle both alone. The new Rivals could very well be members of Nox's faction instead, Zero did say Baku was his one and only Agent. Or if they're CODE enforcers, Nox could start teaming up with Baku by the time they show up.>Attacking people he’s known and using them as living bombs to destroy humanity is monstrousThe "real" world might not even be that real in the first place.
>>23676161A solid 7.5/10. It's not the best of starts, but I'm enjoying it and I'm invested in the ongoing mysteries. It has leaned heavily on style so far, but honestly I see it as a plus compared to prior series. I liked the fast pace and serialization, that the characters; personalities still came out "on the job" despite only being work friends, and the non-traditional approach to the cases that made them feel like actual felt like interconnected disparate incidents. That said, I do wish Takahashi had given Nox a little more to do besides be cryptic, but this is quickly being corrected and obviously going to be expounded on in the next quarter, so I'm willing to withhold any serious criticism until then. I just wish more people were willing to do the same, since there were people willing to dump on the show before Takahashi was even officially announced.>>23676445>no way Zero remains the bad guy for long as he is the bike, and needs to stay as the main guy’s bike forever due to marketing purposes.I think it's worthing noting that Zero ISN'T actually the bike, he's just speaking through it. So if/when Zero becomes a proper antagonist, they have an easy out that leaves the bike intact, though with probably more limited usage.
>>23676493>I just wish more people were willing to do the same, since there were people willing to dump on the show before Takahashi was even officially announced. You better not have dropped non-Takahashi shows in the first quarter as well.
>>23676110jester looking ass nigga
>>23676496I was just about to comment how he gives me jester vibes and I'm glad I wasn't the only one
>>23676495Literally 80% of reiwa Q1 are good, except of Saber and Zetsu
