If you really need to ask whether a recap movie is worth watching over the original series, then please just don't even bother browsing or posting here and go somewhere else. It is literally never worth watching recaps over the original series, at best the recap movies like the 0079 ones are worth watching for the new animated bits but still aren't a replacement for the original series and should be watched afterwards.There should be a rule against threads like this. No-one needs advice for what to watch and in what order, Wikipedia exists and shows the order you should watch it in. I never appreciated how good it looked when I first watched it on a fucking streaming site in 480p, in the bad old days when I had a 100gb cap on internet so I couldn't torrent, but watching the BDs gave me a new appreciation of how great the animation is. The characters are great, with Bes being my favourite. It might be heresy to say it but I like it more than 0079, I feel like it's more concise with it's similar themes and it manages to have a terrifying cosmic horror subplot underneath that.
