How fucked would the Universal Century have been if, instead of Lalah dying to protect Char from Amuro, Sayla died protecting Amuro from Char?

Like... beyond Amuro being a prime candidate to join the Titans from its inception in this hypothetical scenario, I'd argue that killing his own sister by accident would fuck up Char far worse than Amuro accidentally killing Lalah did in canon; whereas Char ultimately placeed the blame for Lalah's death upon Amuro's shoulders while dodging any and all responsibility himself, it'd feel thematically appropriate if in this timeline, Char feels entirely responsible for killing his sister, and spirals even harder, in spite of having Lalah's presence to keep him grounded, but beyond that, what kind of consequences would there be for the Universal Century as a whole as a result of this shift in the timeline?
>>
In Gundam vs Zeta Gundam, that shit leads to Char's Counterattack happening right away.
>>
Sounds like a decent concept for a fanfic

That game was super good

Nobody gives a fuck about Sayla and rightfully so
>>
>>23692157
The only reason she fell off was because her VA was never available to do voice work when needed in the Zeta-CCA years. Tomino probably would have written her a much larger role were that not the case.
>>
>>23692157
I do. Sayla would fix me
>>
>>23692259
Do his novels include her more? I doubt the novels would be dependent on VA availability
>>
>>23692074
It's been forever since I played GvZG, but how the heck does that even work?

Am I the only one who really likes French Canadian Sayla from the comp movie dub? Her accent is really charming
>>

And she has so many different ones to choose from.
I'm very fond of the movie dub, even if it is objectively kind of shit.

>Lalah survives her fateful death and becomes the Zeongs pilot at A.Baoa.Qu.
>Sayla ends up fighting on the surface of the space fortress in the G-Bull and is accidentally killed in the crossfire between Amuro and Char. Amuro retaliates, leading to Lalah dying as well.
>Seven years pass, with Char returning from the depths of space with Haman Karn as his second in command to launch a genocidal operation to destroy the Earth.
>The first strike starts with a colony drop on the Federations new Guinea base. Amuro remains with the Federation in this timeline and has Kamille as his combat partner.
>The Federation fail to stop Char's attack, leading to him beginning the second part of his plan to drop Luna II onto the Earth. Char brings Haman along for this attack plan.
>Haman and Kamille both end up bickering with one another, leading to Kamille being killed by Char. Amuro yet again retaliates an kills Haman. (If Haman survives the plot leads to the end of ZZ, only with Amuro and Judau fighting Char and Haman)
>Luna II fails to hit Earth, so Char resorts to trying to drop Axis. Amuro finally upgrades out of his RX-78 and uses the Zeta Gundam to finally defeat Char (or loses and Axis hits Earth if you are playing as Char)

Finally someone who gets it. British Bright ruined me now I can't do without him
>>
>>23694393
See, my thought was moreso Char killing Sayla because Lalah failed to warn him in time that the G-Fighter/Core Booster pilot was her. rather than it branching off at Lalah surviving, since Char almost killing Sayla happened first, and he got pissed at Amuro for letting her be on the battlefield in canon, only for Amuro to turn it around on Char because Lalah's fighting too.
>>
>>23694335
I always loved Char and Ranba Ral's voices on the movie dub. Finding out that Char was voiced by Spike Speigel's english va, and Ral was Norris Packard's english va was a trip.

>>23694270
How much of the Origin is canon? Because Sayla lives in spain for a while in it, which would explain her vaguely latin accent in the movie.

>>23694399
Also why was Bright english? Loved it too,I thought that he was British-Hong Konger, but I don't know if I imagined it or if it is actual real lore.
>>
>>23697375
Origin is alternate UC. It's a total retelling basically and contradicts some stuff like the progression of tech in the universe and some characterization. And Sayla's accent in the comp dub isn't Latin it's Quebecois. Bright isn't British for any good reason as far as I'm aware but it fits his character really well so I support it.
>>

>And Sayla's accent in the comp dub isn't Latin it's Quebecois.
It wanders around half the planet. Some francophone, some of various parts of eastern europe. Can't say I remember any latin aspects, but it's been a long time.
>>
>>23697429
The Origin feels like the kind of thing you'd see being played in-universe in the Late UC equivalent of Netflix or some other indeterminate streaming service that's more or less one of those embellished "Based on a true story" historical drama shows that get actual history nerds to sperg the fuck out in forums 24/7.
>>
>>23697429
I had thought that the origin was pulling from Tomino's notes or some show documents or something.
Emotionally repressed British Bright is great.
>>
>>23697566
Origin is by Yas, not Tomino.
>>
>>23697551
fair enough. It makes me sergeant when people use origin char to characterize main uc char because it HAPPENS ALL THE FUCKING TIME LIKE HOLY SHIT YOU RETARDS ITS NOT CANON
>>
>>23692019
Who cares?

I love that, in-universe it's a big budget toksatsu movie, hence why the Alvaaron has human-like eyes under the visor; it's literally just some dude under there.
>>
>>23703026
I didn't know that. Neat.
>>
>>23702840
>>23703026

I'd bet money that the Arios was in plane mode for the entire Celestial Being movie so they didn't have to spend money making a separate suit and dumped the rest of the budget into the final fight's CGI budget. Same deal with the Seravee never separating into the Seraphim.
>>
>>23704290
I hope the Seravee was just two guys tied together.
>>
>>23692259
isn't it all but said that beltorchika was originally supposed to be sayla but since they couldn't get her va tomino made a new character to fill the role she was meant to have?
>>
>>23694399
>>23697375
>He's wot?
>That's unbelievable ah-
>Kammakahzay run?!
