i hate in mecha shows when the episodes plot involves the characters getting captured by the enemy and then escaping. usually it's very cartoony bullshit like they headbutt the guards or kick them in the balls and take their guns and fight their way out because the bad guys have stormtrooper tier aim. like i get what the creators are trying to do with having interaction between the two sides outside of the robots, but ts just doesn't work in a real robot setting. like imagine fucking maduro breaking out of us captivity and stealing a plane and flying back to venezuala after the united statesians went through all the work to abduct him. they would be the laughing stock of the world. it would require so much incompetence that it just wouldn't be possible.

DESU, I'd love to see a Gundam show that would not feature any Gundams or other MS until the very last moment. Make it a spy story or a sabotage cell thriller.
