After watching various old school fantasy anime in December it was appropriate that I’d tackle Aura Battler Dunbine afterwards, needless to say 12 episodes in it’s already quite a bit darker and more somber than Zeta Gundam in tone, and I know for a fact it isn’t gonna get any more lighthearted but there are gradually more and more aura machines popping up
Four episodes into Revisions and it's pretty cool, I want to make a topic but high chance will be "chi boo grrrrr" or some variant.

The cast is really underwhelming and the blue-haired tomboy bitch really sucks. I found the pacing to be extraordinarily slow as well, and not in a fun slow-burn way but in a "the plot isn't moving at all" way. I actually burst out laughing at a scene you wouldn't be at yet when Show and the blue haired cunt are fighting in Tokyo and every explosion is like a nuclear bomb, it was so ridiculous and OTT that I just laughed. >>23697519To be honest with you I haven't actually finished watching Dunbine, I got to the part where they go back to Byston Well like you described and dropped the series. Genuinely feels like the entire first arc of the series was just the plot spinning its wheels going on meaningless battles until then, and I did not want to put up with the same crap happening again. I have the same criticism of Zeta Gundam after the Zeta itself is introduced, but at least the first half of Zeta is actually really entertaining.
