I'm thinking about getting the RG amatsu mina, since I haven't built anything but HGs. What do you think?

I don't think it's a deal breaker, just be prepared and buy an action base.Regarding rg in general, the sazabi, hi nu, nu, god, epyon and zeong are commonly accepted as the best ones. As a rule of thumb, every model from 2018 onwards is a safe bet, before that you should research on a case by case basis.
