>>23698925Genuinely agree, I think Gavv was really comfy even when it did drag in some parts towards the end and I still look back fondly on it. Saber is genuinely underrated, the first quarter was a mess and I won't lie I did not like it at all, but the rest of the show once Yuri shows up was honestly really good and I feel like it led up to the endgame really well. I also do think the Saber trio is the strongest Rider trio in Reiwa along with the Gavv trio and honestly in general too. I think Rintaro and Kenton are very strong secondary and tertiary Riders, Yuri was also an incredible quaternary Rider that genuinely saved the show and carried everyone to the end. Hell, Saikou was not only unique by being a sword but the guy was also basically the secondary and tertiary depending on what arc the show was in. The lore and endgame was so good too, I especially love the Ran and Desast side plot a lot too. It genuinely makes me sad that it gets hated on a lot when it's such a hidden gem while Geats gets praised in Japan when I was pissed off watching it throughout the whole thing.

Gavv Guilty Parfait is the first time I’ve ever rooted for a KR antagonistI’ve only seen this V-Cinema unsubbed, but I believe I got the full gist of it. The main antagonist of the film is a moose Granute named Izik Peruto. His father was the Granute whom Bocca killed and later gave to Nyelv for an experiment, which he used to revive Suga in that awful Zombie Suga two-parter that wrecked the best villain of the season. So Izik had a natural grudge against the Jaldaks, starting off the film hunting for Bocca, which led to him accidentally discovering a portal to Human World. When he learned Bocca was dead, he turned his desire to avenge his father toward Lizel. Izik was never indicated to have done anything wrong prior to entering Human World, had no affiliation with the Dark Treat operation whatsoever, and the only person he wanted to hurt was Lizel in revenge for his dad. He was more innocent than all the Stomach Inc Part-Timers.

She was head of Stomach Inc for most of the season’s second half, so the countless humans who died after being abducted for spice during that time is on her head. And she tried to turn the Earth into a human farm. So, seems like Izik, a victim of the Jaldaks’ cruelty, is naturally the more sympathetic party here and the Riders should take his side, right? Well, the Rider Trio and Sachika would think you wrong! They spend the entire film protecting Lizel from Izik’s wrath for some reason. Shoma and Hanto attack him immediately during his first attempt to kill Lizel after he made clear who he was and why he despised the Jaldaks. A second time where Sachika was with Lizel, Izik didn’t bother her until she tried to interfere with him giving Lizel a pounding. He only joined up with the other two crazy antagonists who were kidnapping Granutes to turn into food because he wanted to give Lizel an especially painful ending. A little overboard? Sure. But I can’t help but admire how hilarious and creative this plan was, giving Lizel the same treatment she condemned countless humans to in which she’d get butchered like his poor dad’s corpse was by Nyelv.

Same goes for the mad scientist implied to have gone insane from losing his child and whose murder numbers paled in comparison to the Stomachs and Jaldaks’. Imo, Lizel’s redemption was as awful and unearned as Gai from Zero-One’s while also being quite worse than Daichi from Geats’s redemption (at least everything he did was reversed).

The real problem was more so that they wanted to shill Mugen and its 7 finishers by making storylines based around the specific emotions that each finisher was based on, so the episode obviously had to end with Mugen beating the Gammaizer of the week with one of those finishers. Deep Specter wasn't much of a jobber, it was strong enough to destroy Gammaizers and it didn't have any of the handicaps that Grateful had, so they had to keep Makoto occupied with the dumb clone storyline. And Necrom was a jobber but he surprisingly did get stronger after being severely powercrept for a while, he does end up holding his own against Gammaizers by the end.

This is like praising Suel just because we know he kickstarted the events of Geats, and if that's enough to make him a good villain, then there are no bad villains period.

But at the same time let's not forget that, unlike Hanto's mom, the Sisters are actual characters in their own right who do significant actions for their own story arcs as a direct reaction to Glion manipulating and backstabbing each one of them at different points in the series. So while we get two instances of him angering Riders that don't end up getting their revenge on him, we also get 4-5 (the Sisters, Minato, and Spanner kind of, I know he's not evil but he definitely softened up after the heroes helped him get over the mindbreak that Glion gave him) character redemptions because of the actions he did throughout the show (and not just the ones he did before it), which makes Glion better than Lango in that regard.

My guess is that Extra comes from Extrasensory, considering the show has to do with dreams and like you mentioned state of emotions. I could be wrong though, but it does sound cooler that way.

Nox Knight is completely unique both name and system wise, but 5 and 6 after him share the Lord Invoker and go by numbers. Which kinda implies that the Lord Invoker probably came after and is an improvement to the Knight Invoker which makes sense. But then at that point why not make another Rider System like Zeztz instead? Zeztz's Rider System seems to be superior to the Knight System and it's already developed by CODE. Even Nox using a Rider System was shown as a major upgrade. I'm guessing the implication is that Lords are meant to be next step above Riders in universe, but again it still feels odd just not trying to recreate more Kamen Riders to mass produce after Zeztz and Nox were successful with the tertiary appearing later on already proving that Riders will still end up being superior. Kids love Kamen Riders because they look up to the Kamen Rider themselves and want to be like them. They wouldn't want to be roleplaying as anything lesser and Rivals are basically the lesser Riders. It's sort of like Gundam and how the vast majority would prefer a Gundam over any other MS because they're the star, there's usually an in-universe justification for them to be special and cool and powerful and 9 times out of 10 always wins a fight. Kamen Riders are the stars and are the ones who will always be the victor in the end, the Rivals being designed out of the box and without restrictions makes for a much more interesting design and character but everyone knows at the end of the day they'll never match a Kamen Rider and not everyone wants to be the loser.

With the way Bandai designs the toyline it's not possible to give the secondary belt as many sounds as the primary belt so it would usually be limited to only a certain amount of collectibles and if an upgrade is needed the belt would just be discarded entirely making it somewhat worthless and filler. Build is the epitome of this, by the end everyone on the Build team uses the Build Driver because the Sclash Driver wasn't designed with upgrades in mind both in show and in the toyline.

It also has Erase for Nox Knight, Advance for the tertiary, the 3 Lords' Capsem sounds, and the remaining sounds are Darkness and Break. But it has no further sounds for upgrades and will have to rely on Capsems with sounds for upgrades, but same with the Nox Driver. It also doesn't even read Nox's Capsems distinctly, it just says Nightmare and vice versa if you use Zeztz's Capsems in the Nox Driver anyway. So while the Zeztz Driver definitely has more sounds, the two aren't exactly far off and upgrades don't seem to be an issue since Nox will still use the Driver for his while Zeztz will get a whole new plate for his final.
