Would you take on a mech-pilot mercenary job, even if it meant high risk of death?
when they show me what i'd be piloting are they showing me a mass production unit that everyone else has or a high spec prototype that's probably colored redthis is important
>>23698958You're a mercenary, so you're getting the mecha equivalent of soviet surplus or third world monkey models
Depends on the payday desu.
>>23698930I've always thought that I would more likely be a career soldier serving in a professional military, rather than going off solo doing jobs for money. Much more job security, and more logistical support for your mecha and other daily needs.
>>23698930Glory, gloryWhat a hell of a way to die!Glory, glory,I just hope I can survive.Glory, glory,I just wish they'd pay me more.I guess I'll fight once morehttps://youtu.be/j05b6TNcFegI'm here for a short time, not a long time. If I hang around too long they'll want me to pay my bar tab.
thanks for reminding me i own brigador
>>23698930Yeah... sure...>contractor equips you with a black hand>you get cancerHaha thanks Boss man...
>>23698958good luck
>>23699144I'd trust Spacer equipment not to backfire on me. Spacers may be assholes but they take a lot of pride in their work.
>>23698930Nah, I'd do it for sport in the arena
>>23698962Wasn't the Touro a pretty respectable mech? Like even compared to most other spacer leg units it seems like it could hold it's own. I mean the Buckmaster in the book took down a couple Arlo's. If it was some Corvid shitbox made out of welded together cars then yeah I getcha.
>>23699877Yeah but only army deserters get to keep their army toys (I think that'a the justification for all the Loyalist vehicles being playable, right? Defectors becoming brigadors?)
>>23699948>Yeah but only army deserters get to keep their army toysMostly yes.The brigador contract was initially posted through the NEP com net. Meaning that any and every leg unit on Solo Nobre ended up getting it. Upon getting the contact, any actions taken the furthered the SNC's goals were taken as signing the contract destruction of NEP facilities and whatnot). So most brigador's who took the contract were using the machines they were already in at the time of the long night. Spacers on the other hand are basically for hire merc clans, so they kept their equipment.Once the fighting was over and the had NEP lost. The SNC came in, scooped up all the brigadors and whatever equipment they might of had and took them back to Mar Nosso. So far it's only been noted that one corvid brigador, Olu Salazar, had his rope kid after the events of the 1st game. So far, it's unknown if any other non spacer brigadors kept their equipment. But I suspect that to be the case, as the new game might have some former NEP brigadors stomping around in their Fork or Touro.
>>23699999Holy quints batman. >Brigadors get outReally? the contract HEAVILY implies SNC kills you to avoid paying you after your job's done
>>23700006>Really? the contract HEAVILY implies SNC kills you to avoid paying you after your job's doneWhat do you think the whole plot of Brigador Killers is? Some of those fuckers made it out alive. And whatever remaining loyalists don't want their good deeds to go unpunished. Give the two Brigador books a listen. Miserable as all hell but still a good listen.
>>23700012I thought Killers wasn't out yet. So Brigador Killers means "The people who kill Brigadors"?
>>23700242The 2nd audiobook is out right now and it takes place between both games, and sets the stage for the 2nd game.
>>23700257where can I find these audiobooks?
