How come this show hasn’t been adopted by /m/ contrarians as a “hidden gem”like other shows like G Reco or X or V?

>>23701712Because AGE drops the ball hard and unlike those become something much different than what the audience felt was appropriate.Flits part largely sucks because it does too much scenery building but gets kinda interesting as it reaches the final part and sets up for AsemusAsemus actually starts feeling like a war drama and sets him up with a real goal,rivalry and also further develops FlitKios starts out having a good stride from Asemus but very early on it nose dives with pure uneducated nonsense driving Kio and it has by far the softest ending for a genuine bad guy ive ever seen in fiction to the point where its actually really god damn sick.

It’s a dumb and unsatisfying show that you tend to forget immediately after you stop watching it. Nobody feels strongly about it positively or negatively. Nobody is going to bat for Ezelcant or Girard Spriggin. I don’t even remember who that second one is.

If you watch the show you'll note how most of the time he doesn't seem to give a fuck if people on his side die.This is bad enough, but it's made worse by the fact that virtually every single vagan we see on the battlefield is an actual insane monster. Their main strategy for the whole show is always>show up out of nowhere>kill as many innocent people as you can>leave as soon as they start fighting backAnd they do this for 3 generations, non stop. Hell, they ONLY stop when they are like minutes away from all of them dying. Even the most "sympathetic" vagans we see never really question the "KILL EVERYONE FOREVER" strategy.They are arguably worse than zanscare, because they do their shit for far longer than they did.Flit was honestly the only sane character by the end of AGE.

The real reason is because anyone who can discern and appreciate the positive aspects of Flit and Asemu's stories, or even the first leg of Kio's story, will inevitably be let down by the final portion of the show.

Has some good characters that are killed off for no real reasons. it just doesn't do anything special and its plot is entirely forgettable.I can say, I do really like a lot of the MS designs. Mostly the Earth designs. And the HG kits were high quality with very little stickers.The Age-2 normal is stellar, and the Clanche is just gorgeous.
