>>23714853Pretty great episode although I wish the show had built up the characters' relationships before this episode
I like how Kumade spammed rock.
>>23714913Doesn't change your chances, so he's being lazy at no cost
The Bridans are wasted on this shit show
>>23714913>>23714920I had a massive brain fart and read Kumade as Hoeru for some reason, but it turns out they both spammed rock anyway
;___;
>>23714962I'll be glad when Fire Candle gets put in the ground. Fucker wasted screentime that could have gone to any of the other characters.
>>23714972You talk like a guy who has trouble getting it up with a woman.
>Fire Candle suddenly wants to fight for AI pride >Hoeru vs Kumade >Ryugi vs Rikuo >Whatever Kumade is afraid of >semifinals if there even is one. >all in 3 episodesWhat is it with japanese writers and having shitty rushed endings? It's the same shit with Gavv.
>>23714993>Fire Candle suddenly wants to fight for AI prideIt's more continuing the fight that he, the minions and the rest of the No One World were created for. But, yeah, for most part, that fits the bill.>What is it with japanese writers and having shitty rushed endings? It's likely more to do with execs stepping in. Since Ryusoulger, Sentai ends at the February with the next one starting on March. I vaguely recall something about Sumino supposedly playing a big part of the ending but, with that whole incident blowing up, execs might've just decided to rush things out and give Gavan Infinity more episode? It's kinda similar to how Valvrave was aiming for 4 cour (48+ episodes run) or Buddy Complex hoping for another cour (12~13 episodes) but only got less (1 cour and 2 episodes respectively): they might've some plans on how the show will end but will just write on the fly as they go there since budget, circumstances etc could radically change in an instant.
Fire Candle getting Calamity powers felt like it only served to pad out the episode
>>23715016I feel like the "ring battle finals" is the padding. Fire Candle getting Calamity powers could easily have the same situation as Rei where his negative emotions ends up empowering/reviving Cladis. Before going into this episode, I was expecting the ring battles would've put on hold due to Fire Candle interrupting the fight Sumino and Kinji, maybe have the same "Kinji gives up the rings to Sumino" ending but done in a different way (intentionally forfeits so as not to let the rings fall into Fire Candle's hands).
>>23715007Anon, Gozyuger is confirmed to end at 49 episodes, it got a standard length for a Sentai show.
>>23714993japs are afraid of tying up plot lines "early" and having a climax for a story be anywhere other than the near end of anything
Great episode. Shame it's right at the end.
>>23714921Yep.
maya can't emote like this.
>>23715063Geats did and /m/ whined anyway, Suel was an entirely optional boss.
They had no fucking idea what to do with Fire Candle, shame since he was my favorite character
Why is Kinjiro still young after losing the ring, he should have instantly turned back into an ojisan
>>23715156We won't ever know now
Still have to catchup but seeing the spoilers - expected the outcome. But aside from her wanting her sister back, I never liked Sumino at all. Even after the controversy and switch, and aside from Haruka's acting, has she even become even a shred likeable? At least Kinji is an endearing grandpa.
>>23715349Not really, she's still the same character
>>23714993>What is it with japanese writers and having shitty rushed endings? It's a case by case thing, with toku it's usually executive meddling, with manga it's usually the Mangaka's healthIn Gavv's case everything that happened with the Stomachs was supposed to happen before episode 26 but the producer delayed their deaths against the head writer's wishes, the writer originally intended the final fight to be the one against Bocca which is why it felt more climatic. We don't know Gozyuger's case but everything indicates that in this case the writer actually wanted to do things this way because she thinks it's a more high-octane but ultimately we don't know yet.If you want jap media with good final arcs watch S-cry-ed, Gekiranger, or most manga written by Satoshi Mizukami
>>23715334Nobody care at this point. They all want to end Gozyuger and forgot all about it
>>23715063Unless the story is exceptionally well written, having an early climax just means the rest of the story will just be pointlessly dragging on for little to no payoff at the end, doubly so for action-oriented shows like these.>>23715226Because Geats is not well written.
>>23714993one of Fire Candle's basic character traits is "I respect and care for my men and don't like it when the Gozyugers kill them", this is him continuing to be the most consistently-written character in the show
>>23714993>>Fire Candle suddenly wants to fight for AI prideIt makes sense for his character. He's basicly Big Boss now and he knows his guys can't fit into the real world so he has to keep fighting to make a place for themselves. It's retarded and self-destructive but he can't live any other way.
>>23714993>What is it with japanese writers and having shitty rushed endings? It's the same shit with Gavv.Gavv just wanted to leave different "final" battles for each Rider. It wasn't rushed at all, if anything it was dragged on. Really could have ended with the Bocca battle. Keeping Lango alive had no point in the end.
>>23715684thumbnail reminds of of SNES era Mortal Kombat
>>23716613
>>23715063>japsNo, western fans bitch when that happens too.
>>23715349She barely showed up after the actress change. If you didn't like her before you wont like her after because there's nothing new to like.
Rikou at this point gives me the creeps. Am I the only one?
Honestly thought this episode was really motherfucking good. What an inconsistent show.
>>23715684>the franchise about teamwork is ending on an internal conflict tournament arc. Good job Toei.>>23716840I don't think I've ever gotten grips on what his character is supposed to be. He comes off like a dishonest character with a condescending tone despite having a few episodes showing he's not a completely terrible person. He just comes off as a worse Urataros to me. Might also just have to do with how I think the idol industry is a terrible thing.
>>23717345Kinjiro episodes are usually among the good ones. He's one of the best ideas for a character.
>>23717459Yeah, it feels like we're supposed to think he's just passively emotionally manipulative and doesn't do it in purpose. But then he keeps doing it to get his way (like getting both Sumino and Boquet to forgive him when it seemed pretty rational for both of them to resent him for what he did).
>>23716840No.
>>23717459>>23721394It feels like they pivoted his character. Hr started off somewhat sleazy and knowingly used his charm to manipulate people to do things for him, even if ultimately well intentioned. By the end of the show they sidelined those traits and made him fully heroic. Kind of how they also toned down Hoeru's abrasiveness.
>>23716840Yes.
>>23715156Why so dirty.
>>23715334>>23715585They answered it so HA, get bfto!
