Hey. I’ve posted this here a few times before, but it’s finally finished, so I wanted to show it. Yeah — finished.

I’ve been experimenting for a long time with binder clips, trying to make them look more like a real mech, and I finally realized something:
“Mechs usually have different colors for the body and the joints.”

Up until now, I’d been building everything in a single color, but this time I made the body white and used black clips for the joints. The difference in how cool it looks is huge. I also used 25mm-wide clips, so it has a lot more presence and weight to it.

Wow, using different colors really does a lot. Very cool, op

Yeah I think black inner frame, "protruding" other-color outer parts balance gives a good emphasis

Thanks. I’ll keep aiming to make the coolest binder clip art in the world!

Top left especially has that AC style. Nice work.

Thanks. People often say it’s similar to the V series.

Just when we thought binder clip art couldn't get any better this guy throws a curve ball and elevates the craft another degree.

Thanks. Yeah, that’s exactly it. I’d started thinking about a new series because I felt like I’d already taken this as far as it could go.

Every day I look at photos posted by scale modelers online, trying to pick up hints about photography techniques. While doing that, I noticed how the exterior armor and the joints are often different colors — and that’s what led me to this idea.

You even posed them around, that's awesome.

Great job.

Thanks. Maybe I’ll challenge Ice Worm next, haha.
