Hey. I’ve posted this here a few times before, but it’s finally finished, so I wanted to show it. Yeah — finished.I’ve been experimenting for a long time with binder clips, trying to make them look more like a real mech, and I finally realized something:“Mechs usually have different colors for the body and the joints.”Up until now, I’d been building everything in a single color, but this time I made the body white and used black clips for the joints. The difference in how cool it looks is huge. I also used 25mm-wide clips, so it has a lot more presence and weight to it.
>>23730549Wow, using different colors really does a lot. Very cool, op
>>23730549Yeah I think black inner frame, "protruding" other-color outer parts balance gives a good emphasis
>>23730558>>23730646Thanks. I’ll keep aiming to make the coolest binder clip art in the world!
Top left especially has that AC style. Nice work.
>>23731269Thanks. People often say it’s similar to the V series.
>>23730549Just when we thought binder clip art couldn't get any better this guy throws a curve ball and elevates the craft another degree.
>>23736034Thanks. Yeah, that’s exactly it. I’d started thinking about a new series because I felt like I’d already taken this as far as it could go.Every day I look at photos posted by scale modelers online, trying to pick up hints about photography techniques. While doing that, I noticed how the exterior armor and the joints are often different colors — and that’s what led me to this idea.
>>23738715You even posed them around, that's awesome.
>>23730549Great job.
>>23741153>>23742188Thanks. Maybe I’ll challenge Ice Worm next, haha.
