Alright, I take it all back.Turns out bare F90 MG kit is not compatible with X-Type besides the arms and sorta the legs. Can't mount the main part on the backpack, that's only compatible with Cluster's Core Fighter. You can more or less do the F90 Half-X but you can't use the OMRS-90 to do the Mars Gundam half.Pity, and kind of a dick move from Bandai. Modifying it probably isn't too difficult but it would it have killed them to let the kit do what we see X-Type used for in the manga?Still, the arm guns are very cool and it'd be neat to see just those combined with other Mission Packs.

The very first kits are getting delivered in Japan, like, today so I'm just scrounging up first pics and such, no proper reviews yet.But it looks like you CAN make them fit, though it's not intended design. Remove the backpack connector on F90's side and other things that'd interfere with the thrusters. The Monthly Mobile Machine compilation vol 1 is (finally) coming out at the end of the month. It's said to include new illustrations, probably like the cover art, colored versions of previously monochrome entries and some revisions. I assume that's fixing up minor mistakes and typos that popped up every once in a while.Extremely unlikely to be anything groundbreaking or really new, but still good to have these in one place instead of just in Gundam Ace entries.
