I like that they settled on a look that wasn't trying to imitate 2D. I think embracing the 3Dness of it and trying to make it complement the 2D works better than trying to disguise the 3D as 2D, since you don't have to worry about breaking the look as much.It looks like the new Patlabor show is going for something similar, which I think is wise.

Delta being the best at anything but being a vehicle to sell virtual idol tickets and CDs is a laughable idea. Maybe best at making it clear that Kawamori shouldn't lead Macross projects anymore. Definitely shouldn't direct. Stick to mechanical design and production supervision.

What Macross games can i get into easily? I see that people recommend the ones on the PSP. I got the Delta units in SRW Y and i found myself wanting to pivot from G Gundam to trying to catch up to Macross after seeing the first series. DYRL is jaw dropping when it comes to animation, by the way. Anyway back to the games, are those the only ones worth trying?
