Wonder what kind of original boss they'll have for this segment of DLC.
Describe this Brave.
So Da-Garn is having some of its plot take place in the present time of Y, Noir isn't of the world so it gets to be our designated dimensional traveler (and the Braneworld stuff doesn't seem like it's ever been expanded on to date), which leaves Jeeg as the mystery. Don't think it looks like he's fighting against his own series, so I guess it's another case like W was, where his plot happened in the past and merely wasn't mentioned, or he has no plot and he's just a cyborg dude fighting for justice in general.

>>23733754I will use them all for the DLC since it's just 3 units but I don't really jive with Da Garn. If there's an expansion after this he will probably end up on the bench for most of it.
>>23733996Da Garn has a pretty good OP songI know nothing else about it though
>>23734044Unlike the previous two brave shows, this one had a more serious plot, and Seiji feels much closer to what you'd expect an actual kid would react in this situation. The show does a great job with the cast and you really feel the tension at the end. This is also a minor thing, but the show does a much better job of showing the consequences of an alien invasion than most of the Brave series. For comparison, this is stuff that happened in other Braves shows and is almost completely glossed over after it happens:-Dagwon has several moments where entire city blocks are destroyed, a plane is blown up (this is done by a future ally), etc... and it's like it never happened come next episode.-Fighbird just randomly lets you know tha USA is scorched by Dryas and the cast just beats his ass the following episode.-Goldran has that moment where the joke villain just carpet bombs several past locations like it's no big deal.

>>23734441No one wants those sequels.
>>23734604How's Brave Express? I thought that was also extremely popular after GGG.>>23734364I'm terrified that it's still a half-baked DLC, it would be nice if they put a little more care into it and the robots had something more than 5 attacks.Big O was offensive, I would have preferred a total reuse of the Z3 version rather than that incomplete farce.
>>23734619I wouldn't care as much if it was half baked and day 1 DLC ironically. I dont do second playthroughs just to use DLC units. It seems like a huge time sink at random times I'm playing something else. Day 1 DLC always feel shitty though I dont want them to feel Atlas bad. What if really prefer is DLC either stupid bullshit that doesn't matter like a gundam in a silly hat or for them to focus expansion pack only and completely forgo DLC 1 and 2. Ideally fuck all DLC though. What really killed me about Big O is I a it could have been integrated in the story so well. We had TWO DEAD MUMMIES who never interacted fuck off. Paradigm City could have been in Byston Well. Idk anything is better than nothing.
>>23734631To be honest, adding new shows isn't a good idea. I like more when DLC works are a Hi Nu Gundam, or Majestic Prince "Movie," or again something you can easily integrate into the base game.Even though IBO and Getter Devolution were quite functional in 30, they barely spoke, but they DID speak in the moments that mattered, giving the impression of being there, but simply being lone wolves.IBO had a lot of dialogue throughout the game, and Kid Ryoma interacted everywhere there was a Getter event in the game.I don't get why Y can't have this level of care. Still, i love Jeeg and Da Garn with an Install transformation seem a pretty robot.
>Reddit spacing
Was there ever an OG villain who uses a real robot for most of the game until the final fight or something where after you deplete his health bar, he has enough and transforms into a super robot, complete with a new design, moves, etc.
>>23734619Not that anon, but Might Gaine is extremely episodic. You do have running plot threads building up to the final arc eventually, but for example, there's an episode where the entire city is covered by poisonous giant plants (monsters) and that doesn't even get mentioned afterwards. There's an episode where a gas is produced that disrupts electric system, and this is used for a two parter, but afterwards it's never brought up again, even though you'd think Mifune's faction would be using it all the time afterwards since they hate technology beyond feudal Japan. As far as its general style goes, the stories can go from comedic (and the first 15 episodes are mostly this aside from the plot ones.) to deadly serious, with focus on criminal underworld, assassins and mafia, often with tragic endings, there are even some episodes barely any robot action (in fact, the Braves here mostly exist to fight and you barely see any characterization from them outside of battle. Even though Might Gaine is pretty much the 2nd most popular Brave in Japan, it seems to get quite a bit of hate among Brave fans in the West due to this).>>23734631>We had TWO DEAD MUMMIES who never interacted fuck off.Who are you referencing here from the base game?>>23734639>I don't get why Y can't have this level of care. Still, i love Jeeg and Da Garn with an Install transformation seem a pretty robot.I wonder if there's something in the new engine that makes them hesitate to update dialogue of the base game stages? It's not like they'd even need voice recordings or anything.

>>23734661>Who are you referencing here from the base gameGauma
>>23734661My guess is simply that SRW Y was a bit of a production mess . The new engine had to be rebuilt, the assets had to be imported, probably various Bandai priorities that forced SRW Y to be put on hold, not enough people to work on it.
>>23734774>Salamander FactoryWhat happened to them anyway? Are they even still around, and if so, what have they worked on recently?
>>23734780I mean, Schwarzwald is covered like a mummy, but he isn't from an ancient era or anything, unlike Gauma. And Gauma doesn't dress as a mummy, so it's not like they have visual identification. So I have an odd question. I've never *played* SRW, but I do like a lot of the art and designs. >>23735024> the Steam listing is all but guess work because T and 30 had expansion packs, which is why Steam added a DLC 3 placeholderhttps://steamdb.info/app/1909950/dlc/No. The thing people have found is that there is a yet to be explained additional DLC in the infrastructure for the game, as revealed through SteamDB. One of the three labeled as 'unknown app' is the separate purchase for DLC 2. And the other two are going to be ... ? Now - very telling are the ID numbers for the DLCs. These numbers are global to the entirety of Steam and they increment by 10.So that in the event of an emergency there are 9 additional IDs to fudge and repair any broken data still available in between. Common DB management practice when using incremental IDs rather than GUIDs as primary key or index. One of these are not like the others. The others were all created in a series. But one came 60000+ entrants later. If you drill down further, the 'unknown apps' listed under DLC also have multiple packages with multiple subIDs associated with them.Again, the one that comes 60000+ entrants later is interesting, because where Steam Sub 687826 is where ALL the other DLC are - this special 4126740 is still all by its lonesome available segregated, under three different incrementally created Sub IDs: Steam Sub 1446033, 1446034 and 1446035.It is very likely that these are temporary access for journalists, for outsourced testers, or for an offshore localization studio.Which indicates *SOMETHING* involving a rather large body of actual work yet to be done, is still in the plumbing - making its way through.

>>23736280It probably is cheaper and easier to animate to some extent, though this is just guesswork. We can't say for sure how much of Y's shortcomings come from budget issues, engine switch, etc.
>>237362803D models have more of an up front cost but cost infinitely less to animate than 2D in HD
>>23736285The biggest issue I see with sprites would be drawing all that out, then re-assembling those parts for choreography. While for the new style, you need to:-Make a 3d model-Split it apart to make it a sprite-Go over it with shading and other shenanigans so it looks closer to 2dIt honestly doesn't feel like it'd be faster, aside from potential repaints of units. It honestly feels easier to just do what G Gen is doing.
>>23736296Eternal's animations look really nice when the devs feel like it.
>>23736296While G Gen Eternal definitely has some nice animations, so there's potential there, but they'd probably need to adjust the proportions by comparison, and not every mecha is going to gel to the SD style as well compared to Gundam units. Then there's the question of whether fans would enjoy the look, given SRW's previous 3D efforts all tending to have middling opinions.

And going by electric city there's still small settlements that exist out of city limits.

oldfag here, what's the latest SRW I can get for PC now?I'll also accepted a G Generations game (UC only, the AU stuff always gays it up hard).
>>>/wsg/6085687
>>23735946If you mean an attack animation that looks like absolute garbage, look no further than Emperors G's big sword attack.
>>23736454(And correct me if I'm wrong; but I believe the cherry-on-top is that he's voiced by the same seiyuu who does Krillin in the Dragon Ball franchise.)
>>23736454God, I wish those TV-N subs got completeley wiped off the net
>>23736464You're correct.
>>23736243Its depressing how much better the older games look and play
Big O and Demonbane should have been in a game together
>>23736455You can get 30 and thew newest one, Y, without issues.V/X/T are trickier because they don't have official Western releases but you can still get them.
>>23736455Dude the literally only G Gen game on PC is Cross Rays, for SRW there is 30 and Y, V and X if you live in SEA and therefore can legally buy them on Steam, and that's it for now.
>>23736488You can play Genesis on a Switch emu technically.
Setting up custom BGM for DLC 2. What should I use for Getter Noir? Don't really want to use Heats.
>>23736458>>>/wsg/6085705>>23736486>SRW Ynice, thanks anono7>>23736488>Cross Rayshard pass.was hoping for a Generation Genesis port or something newer
>>23736491I forgot about emulators after like 20 years
>>23736500You can "technically" emulate the entire SRW series, the only caveats being the Moon Dwellers PS3 port being japanese only, and the dead gachas being, well, dead.
>>23736509I got into the series from emulation and forgot about that lil autobiographical tidbit. Thanks for reminding me that it still exists as an option for the newer releases.
>>23736498I know Genesis did get a rerelease later but I think that was just Switch. Or if it did get a Steam release, it's region-locked like V and X were, I think?
>>23736537No, Genesis and SRW T are still console exclusive games, no idea why given that Cross Rays and VX sold well enough.
>>23736562V and X could be a license issue (or more specifically a worldwide license issue)Genesis is just because Bamco rarely ports older titles and that one released before they realized steam users were interested in buying their games
I would hope if V ever gets a Re-release worldwide they at least fix the English script
>>23736591I would hope more for OG MD because that needs a fixed script way more than V thoubert.
>>23733801This must be like Hell for him
>>23736469As shit as FT is it really bugs me that they actually retconned it so the cloaked Gundam were used during Preventer 5. The one thing the novel does right is making sure new Gundams existed until the Mars shit happens
>>23735648There's a thread over on the Steam page's forum.
I think DLC2 is out on Steam for the ones who bought the Deluxe Edition
yep, DLC is on...
>>23736562T was kind of mess due to covid that being said there shouldn't be anything really blocking it licence wise except for maybe Harlock? Almost everything else was in Y or 30
>>23736699Can confirm
>>23736723For the anon who was hoping for 6 moves, he's got 'em. Beam, Bomber, Breaker, Bazooka, Spin Storm and Mach Drill. So Panzeroid will come later and give him 7.
>>23736725He got the actual full load-out. damn.God exists- and he loves classic SRW.
>>23736727Dynamite Kick is also part of Breaker's animation too.
It's important to remember the distinction.
>>23736714So the Noir stage doesn't unlock after the Raideen stage in chapter 2 with the other DLC. I wonder when it does.
>>23736744Takuma does mention seeing his father in Getter space, can't recall when that is in Y, but not sure if that means he doesn't appear until after then or if it's another one of those cases of the dialogue accounting for being later in the story. It did make a mention that the Getter forces should have been gone by now.
>I gotta somehow murder Zweizergain in a low Will environment within 2 turns if I want the HaroNo, I think I'm good, this is one boss I'm just going to let fuck off.
>>23736746There's also a line where they're surprised the Andromeda Stellarion troops are still around and they also mention Tarak. Lots of lines that seem like they should only activate if you're playing this late into the story. Also, Getter Noir theme isn't the one from the original DLC2 trailer.
So does Noir get any one of his two finishers?
>>23736769Noir 1 and Da Garn are a bit gimped compared to Jeeg, starting at only 4 attacks each. Noir gets Cutter, Dragoon, Beam and Gunfight Hurricane so far.
>>23736773Go to wait for upgrades then
>>23736781Fortunately they combine into Noir G the very next stage, complete with using the combination movie sequence from DD.Noir G starts with Cutter, Beam, Gigant Missile and Tomahawk Darkness.
>>23736788Da Garn really should've been in the base game and tied in with Getter
>>23736773Da Garn X from what I remember wasn't the most loaded with moves in the first place. Brave Saga had to invent like 3 attacks for it back in the day
Man, they actually have a line Echika mentions your party has people from other worlds like Noir Ryoma, rather than actually using the characters themselves to talk.
>>23736789hopefully it gets one more attack but those 4 moves is what I expect it to have. DD only got Shine Spark and Stoner Sunshine a year to a few months before Y came out
>>23736755Vindel doesnt retreat, so the hardest part is just getting people into position so you can chain support attacks to get him before the timer's up.OG, God Gundam w Flight Module and Daimos will end up doing the majority of the work as long as they all have at least 10 in weapons. Getter Dragon, Combattler and Voltes can also help out too.I've done it like twice now and its fun every single time.
>>23736817Echika you can't just ASK that
>>23736823>Somehow, Redlone returned.
>>23736373>>23736401How do you get her?
>>23736795It gets Shine Spark.
>>23736833Nice. I was at least hoping for that, Darkness Shine Spark is too new for it to be in the game
>>23736798>>23736800>>23736802My ego as the biggest Shin Getter fan on this board refuses to admit this looks cool. However it's way better than the mess that was Shin Getter Dragon in 30.
>>23736236He animated Gridman.
https://youtu.be/_nitXmYa-l4
>>23736835It DOES have Zwart Shine Spark. Zwart Stoner Sunshine however is not here for presumably the reason you said.
Interesting chapter 5 doesn't have the final mission for the DLC unlike the first DLC, unless I just need to progress further in chapter 5. Otherwise all the other missions are opened up by then.
https://youtu.be/8lJ2txFS7nE
This DLC does feel like it got way more love than the first one. Jeeg alone has animations better than all the first DLC units.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7f2yr0kg4Ns
>>23736856Yeah the only small downside is that it looks like only Da Garn gets enemies
Are people just rushing through the DLC or do you get Great Da-Garn GX fairly early?
>>23736869To be fair, in Noir case it doesn't need any enimies since it's tied to Arc >>23736876Rushing, most people are playing it on post game.
>>23736864Echika stop...!
Not surprisingly Jeeg is post plot and Hiroshi fought with Koji, Tetsuya and Akira
>>23736280They had to reanimate every unit for Y, of course you wouldn’t see a noticeable difference
>>23736856Makes me wonder if they had potentially gotten some of these series licensed for the base game, but due to whatever Y's production was they had to pivot to DLC slots.
Jesus... Jeeg looks insane in this game, seems like they are getting used to this new animation style.
>>23736737Huh, Koji has not joined yet on my game, so Annina covers this up instead.
Expansion pack is probably likely, right? That cat from the first DLC is still around.
>>23736859Jeeg-sama I kneel. That Panzeroid was really damn good.
>>23736907Turns out the cat was behind everything in Y, and is going to resurrect three Ultimas that have to be defeated at once for the penultimate EP stage.
>>23736907If we do get an expansion pack, what are the odds DLC 1 and 2 will get new stuff alongside anything we will see in the pack?
>>23736909It can do whatever the fuck it wants if it brings back Zeorymer.
Gravion for expansion pack pretty please?
>>23736910The Expansion Pack in 30 (DLC part) had a new finisher for the SRX, while the free part upgraded Cybuster's Cyflash.I guess the one oddity in this scenario is that both were made free DLC available for everyone alongside the Expansion. Rather than actually being for any of the units that would require buying the separate DLC packs.
>>23736913Alright, but you're not getting any enemies or Great Zeorymer.
Switch dlc 2 nsp please
>>23736918You could just easily get both base and Great Zeoymer and handle it like J where you can fight the other.
Still hoping for UX MC as DLC
>>23736864Still funny to me we went from Mitsuba the shotacon to Echika the harem queen.
>>23736910Fairly unlikely, I'd say. EP will give us our MJP movie and Beltorchika's Children, plus 4 other things.
>>23736859I hope they still kept the iconic "Kono Yarou! Jeeg Breaker, Shine!" line. Also, the animator seems to be from the handheld's school of dynamic kills as it doesn't have the brief return to the now empty enemy side the mainline team does for some reason
>>23736859Jeeg got a massive amount of love this time around, goddamn
>>23736854Is that Show Hayami voicing Da Garn?
>>23736843>I LOVE how Ishikawa says Shine SparkkkkuuuuI can't to use the Toei Getter theme for Noir G>>23736928Who isn't a shotacon in SRW anymore? Damn these women.

Does Ryoma's Ace Conversation change if I save it till Hayato and Musashi join?
Let's torture Daisuke Ono's throat for the next game

>>23736864QRR on what's happening here?
Do the new units have unique dialogue with any of the endgame bosses? Not the voiced lines, stuff like the Alexis interaction with Ultraman in 30. From what I remember the DLC 1 units didn't.

>well that was a lot easier than the first one>forgot that I was on Casual to farm cash months agoThat said I can't imagine this to be that hard on higher difficulties with all the bullshit you get.I just figured you can bounce Prospect around for infinite SP using Noin, Lunamaria and support Reiko
>>23736373You know, I'd actually love this more if they actually gave us more Assist slots.
>>23736859Goddamn, let this guy do more animations
>>23737103Infinite SP is easier than that you just need 3 main pilots with Unity and that SEED reporter girl, SP discounts from the blue section of STG optional
>>23736373How early can you get her?
Jeeg: 10/10. Smooth animation, good variation, well paced, 100% consistency.Noir G: Slop. Has all the worst attributes of modern SRW. The total opposite of Jeeg.Da-Garn GX: Basically just might gaine and j-decker again, it's okay.
>>23737141Actually hilarious after all of the bitching and moaning about Jeeg's sprite just earlier in this thread
>Noir G: Slop. Has all the worst attributes of modern SRW. The total opposite of Jeeg. Now that's an exaggeration, compared to the other two is understandable, but there are way worse looking units in Y.

>>23737158Yeah but compared to past getters it's just embarassing
>>23737162it looks better than arc and all its alt forms already

>>23737135Post Game only.Just beat the Final Boss, Do Battle Rush 2.And then.. what's left?
I'm again reminded of how cute Echika is
>>23737170Being fair, the complaints towards him now have to do with the switch to 3d models. It doesn't suit his style at all, since he would normally add dynamic poses or uncommon angles into the sprites. He can't really do that with 3d models, and his fast movements start looking off due to this change. So these changes just killed his style.
>>23737096The OG boss is an antagonistic Brave?
>>23737170>noir g>arios sanHe only did the getter tomahawk attack. Getter razor is the fucking aquarion-speedline guy, and the rest are by the 2 fps super robot animator who did 30's mazinkaiser.Arios guy isn't bad but he can't pace his animation for shit.Jeeg guy is our new god now.
So, we lost Getter 1 for the the Noir... FUCK... Why the fuck couldn't they leave an install transformation or at least the option to return to Getter 1 from the Menu. Why Bandai is always this stupid? I didn't mind Getter 1's attacks, starting with Getter 1 and then going Noir seemed cool.
>>23737226>Jeeg guy is our new god now.Is he the same guy that did Radeen (I guess) well he's getting better and better. Jeeg absolutely gorgeous and a great gift for anyone who is a fan of the character.
>Getter Noir's themeThey NEED to get a new sound team if this is the best they could come up with
>>23737231I think it's a new animator or someone they poached from the og games because I didn't recognize the style at all
>>23737239>they poached from the og gamesEh, maybe they commissioned Tose to make Jeeg and made the others at home.
>>23737231>>23737239There are even some minor technical oddities, like the Dynamic kills cutting out without show the empty space of the enemy. It definitely feels like it's not an animator that was with Y's team before.
>>23737230Simply add a combo attack to Getter 1 along with Getter 2 and 3. Then allow Us to fuse at any time with those 5 attacks and it would have been a great unit.
>>23737243You know it's not bandai's animator because the tweening isn't dogshit
>>23737237The first thing I did was put Armageddon and Storm, but since I'm on chapter 5 Getter 1 lasted very little.
So if you don't preorder the game and you're shit out of luck on getting Cybuster and the V OGs?
>>23737247you can easily live without them.

>>23736907>>23736909The cat is called Gulliver right? The original full title of Gulliver's Travels is "Travels into several remote nations of the world. In four Parts. By Lemuel Gulliver - first a surgeon, and then a captain of several ships."FOUR PARTS.
>>23737694Thematically, Gulliver's Travels featured:Book 1 - Lilliput where everyone was small. (Jet Jaguar, Kamen Rider, Jeeg.) Book 2 - Brobdingnag where everyone was giant. (Lit. all the super robots, combiners and yes - Getter fucking Emperor. And yes- Great Da Garn plus-sizing himself)Book 3 - Laputa, Balnibarbi, Luggnagg, Glubbdubdrib and Japan. A mismash of a demonstration of extreme corruption and social inequality (Gundam) in Laputa and Balnibarbi. And a run in with immortals and the downsides of immortality in Glubbdubdrub (Geass).Book 4 - The Land of the Houyhnhnms, where humans are the cattle and the titular Houyhnhnms are the horse men that rule. That one doesn't map to anything. Yet. Know what maps to it?Gurren - fucking - Lagann.Now- who wants to see Chouginga go full Tengen Toppa and then go toe to toe with Emperor as the Expansion Pack's final fight?
>>23737684I mean, the demonstration is the future calculator not working after some point in the near future. It's why everyone is shitting bricks, it means the world itself doesn't exist by that point so you can't send data to that part of the future. At least, that's the explanation in original anime. SRWY makes it seem like everything would actually only be completely destroyed in case of Getter Emperor vs Godzilla Ultima happening. Still, hypes it up though.
>>23737694This is dumb enough that I hope it's actually relevant.
So what's the evil Brave OG's motivation?
>>23737675We also don't actually fight or kill Ultima.Godzilla Ultima as we perceived it was merely an astral projection, a shadow cast from a higher dimensional plane. Just the casting of that shadow alone was enough to start unraveling reality and collapsing our plane of existence. If it were to actually physically enter our plane of existence it would shatter it outright. We had Getter Emperor going ape-shit and pulling out all stops over what was essentially the actual responsible Outer God letting loose with a wet fart and thinking nothing of it.
>>23737465Did Allenby make the situation worse again
>>23737711You'd think that Echika would just ask Lelouch to geas Allenby into keeping her big pothole shut. You'd think Kallen would be the first to scream across the room "oh god, yes PLEASE!"
>>23737681Yeah, I definitely prefer the Alpha 3 version too because of the vocals.
>>23737716Knowing Echika, she's probably a little into it. She knows it's improper to say it out loud though, that's why she gives Allenby a pass. Either that or she's secretly hoping Kallen will snap and strap Allenby down.
Interesting, the Omen version of Da Garn doesn't have an Ace Bonus, or has a bugged one. On the status screen it simply shows the "unlocks at 70 score" description in japanese, and when you unlock it by editing his score during the stage and have him kill an enemy it's simply emptyJeeg and Ryoma don't have this issue, and neither the 3 DLC 1 units in their preview stage
Now for the real question, is Noir G better than Shin Getter Dragon?
>>23737748No.
Am I seeing things or did the font used in the battle preview screen got bigger? Especially the hit/crit chance numbers, I don't remember those being so big before the last update
>>23737703Screenshotting for the future.I want to say this is schizophrenia but the cat's name is pretty specific. Xabungle also fits book four too.

>>23737727>Echika secretly funds the production of Kallen/Allenby doujins for sale at Yuri Mart in hopes of getting them to leave the shed together
>>23737753It's not just you, they've made the hit/crit numbers bigger, probably to make it clearer that they're important.
Noir G theme is actually fucking dogshit. It's sounds like a generic enemy bgm

>>23737790Nope, better pray they figure out how to do it by SRW Eternal.

>>23737821>>23737847If SRW gets anything there, it's just gonna be a repeat of the latest DLC2 trailer as a reminder that it's out.
>>23737847I think from a marketing perspective it might make sense to announce it now just to keep people interested in Y instead of writing it off as doneI'm not sure if they can get most people to come back if they leave a gap where there's nothing to look forward to
>>23737862I do agree their whole marketing for the DLC has been kind of dumb, but they stayed silent for an even longer time before announcing the expansion for 30 (since the first two packs came out faster).
I miss unique parry animations. I miss parrying in general.
>>23737821I think Gundam is more likely to get something in this Direct. The timing should be right considering Breaker 4 came out August 2024 and it was announced during a directIf SRW gets anything it's more likely to be something for the 35th, so I would expect an announcement in April, unless there is no upcoming April stream
>>23737827Give it up OGfag, your shit spinoff is dead as it deserves outside of milking money from you with figures
>>23737810It feels like they make the DLC for the release of the game but pretend they didn't. So we get really half assed Atlus tier DLC, but over a longer period of time that makes them feel more disappointing and anticlimactic story wise. The same happened for Digimon except datamined list of Digimon and other weird oddities like JewelBeemon mistakenly having BanchoStingmon's stats make it more obvious. Or maybe this was obvious to everyone I hate it though
>>23737790What were custom bgms in 3 like?

>>23737778Would certainly make a number of people's lives easier
>>23737893In 30, and the recent previous games, you could replace any bgms in the game, not just the character bgms. You could replace what's used as the "danger" bgm, mps bgm or event bgms. Not just the character themes.
>>23737892Nah, if anything 30 might have been like that, but Y's DLC really feels separate from the base game, but it's to its detriment. In spite of its story being integrated into Y's world better than 30's, you get the issue of no lines for the DLC characters outside of the DLC stages, aside from in-battle lines.Including the Kamen Rider Skull movie (from November 2024, and it actually had one stage adapting its story) also heavily supports it was worked on after the main game.
>>23737882Based!

>>23737920Yeah for DLC1 I gave braiger it's proper theme but without the replace function it was playing the generic replacement BGM during cutscenes like when it finished off the DLC boss
>>23737924It's interesting they were allowed to use stuff from the Fuuto PI series despite just listing the movie yet Big O was not allowed to use anything from S2
>>23736859Ok... Last time i checked 'The OG Kotetsu Jeeg having MX/OGs-tier animations' wasnt in my SRW bingo card, hell, i dont think that phrase is on anyones bingo card, let alone actually work as a phrase!
>>23737968There's a camera spin there that makes the ground look 3d. It really seems like they got someone from the OG team for this DLC.
実は『スパロボ』発祥と知ってビックリ!知名度抜群なのに「オリジナル設定」 「えっ原作にはないの…!?」https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/c69296c54d38c676319a8f5f622399c1d3d757ae
In the next game, every unit will be animated like jeeg right?
>>23738001Oh anon, you cad.
YEAH RYO, GET HER ASS
>>23738014I wonder if there's a different conversation if you get this Ace conversation after getting G already...
>>23737770Same. Flying around the desert in the iron gear is the coolest visual
>>23737967>yet Big O was not allowed to use anything from S2Maybe it's just budgeting licenses. Season 2 might have been separate? Too lazy/cheap for season 2 animations? Fucking tomatoes I dont know.
What's the closest English meaning for "Daisetsuzan Oroshi"?
>>23738021CN still has partial ownership of season 2. And only season 2. It's why season 1 never aired on New Toonami.
>>23738022Winds from the great snowy mountainDaisetsuzan is the name of a mountain in Hokkaido
Yeah, this is the work of some SRW OG animator who was loaned to Bandai. This kind of choreography, even the scene of the Panzaroid foot breaking through the ground to underline the momentum are all details from SRW OG. Man, it's sooo good.
>>23738027That fat ass..
>>23738027Hopefully this is an indicator that maybe future games will be able to start leaning into this kind of choreography. Or if nothing else, they keep this guy and we all look forward to seeing which units they animate.
>>23738026I'm asking because I think I saw the line pop up in Dandadan episode 16, but translating "Oroshi" as "Drop".
>>23738027Jeeg Breaker and some other moves used some explosion effects and that grease pen styled speed lines you saw a lot in Z>>23738042Depends on the kanji used (it's a homonym) but it would also make sense since it's a throw anyways. Probably an intentional double meaning since Getter-3's attack is always just written with kana for the "oroshi" part.
>>23738027Too bad the "Sprite" looks like a Gamecube game run on an Emulator.
>>23738034
>>23738027I thought you guys were full of shit until I fielded Jeeg, god damn such visual porn
this version when
>>23737703Not to disrupt your theory too much, but the 2 of the 4 lands themes fit much better within the debuting series of each DLC pack, tiny KR W for 1, big Super Robot Da Garn for 2. So what would be two series that are not on SRW yet that would fit the theme of lands 3 and 4?
>>23738067Blame Sin Murakami (who apparently did the CG for the alpha games way back in the day), Akifumi Yama, or whoever from Sazanami (who might be the people who worked on XO, NEO, and OE?) made the model and made no attempt to use shaders to have it look closer to the 2D guys.
What the fuck, this fucker is huge compared to other Getters. Even larger than Shin Getter.
I think the anons that think Jeeg was done by someone from the OG animation team hit the nail on the head. That Jeeg Breaker animation is pure sex. I can't think of something else this good in years
How long did it take for 30 to get its expansion pack announced? I know Y has had a different DLC timeframe but if we do get an expansion it'd be nice if we get it close to summer again.
>>23738137It's made up of three whole Getters
>>23738178That's one of the Getters that make up Noir G. Which means Noir G must be extra huge.
>>23738177The Expansion pack only was announced in April less than 2 weeks before release. Although people already knew about it and even the series because 30 had a lot more DLC data in the base game.
>>23737665This, it's all about money. Toho has big money on the level of Sunrise.
>>23737082Daisuke Ono is the VA of Jotaro and Battler. GG was created by Daisuke ISHIWATARI.
>>23738278How come Godzilla SP has next to no merch? NGL I expected an Ultima figure by now.
>>23738177DLC 1 released something like 3 months after the game releasedDLC2 released a bit more than 2 months after DLC1Going by this the next DLC could release 2nd half of April or first half of May
>>23738294There's been an SHMA figure of Ultima out for years wdym.
>All the animation budget went to Furuya
>>23738354I guess that the expansion pack will be shown in April without a date and then released around June. they're slow with this game.By the way, is there any way to remove that damned black anti-seizure filter from units that have it? It's driving me crazy and I find it really annoying, not ironically. Poor Emperor...
Can someone link the mega custom songs for dlc 1 and 2?
>>23738177Best bet is April for an announcement, surely they wouldn't miss out on doing a stream for the franchise's 35th anniversary. Yes, SRW 30 was 5 years ago
Have these ever shown up in SRW?
>>2373818190 meters I believe it's basically Godzilla sized
>>23738137damn didn't realize it's THAT big
DLC characters continue to be ghosts who do not interact during the main story. The ridiculous thing is that Roger and the others from DLC 1 don't even interact with Ryoma or Hiroshi, even though they're still DLC characters. I don't think it's that complicated to add a few generic lines every now and then, and yet...
>>23738717DLC 1 and 2 are sold separately so there's the chance of people buying one and not the other. If they don't have interactions with the base cast outside of the DLC stages then don't expect them to have lines with the other DLC.
Nothing SRW on either the English or Japanese Direct so I guess that's that
>>23738744Considering the DLC is already out, there's no point to showcase it.
>>23738717It's kinda annoying cause 30 did have DLC characters interacting with the main story. Like the Dancouga team talk during the first MJP mission and Alexis acknowledges Ultraman.
>>23738753I wonder if this is because they tried to keep all files separate. On PC each dlc has its own folder with all the new assets in it, and the player only downloads it if they own a dlc (even the preorder or the X & T originals have a separate folder). No base game file has been edited to include something from one of the current DLCs30 instead edited the base game files all the time with each new DLC
>>23738756>30 instead edited the base game files all the time with each new DLCMaybe they decided that wasn't a great way to go about things, considering how many times those updates messed things up for players.
>>23738759like when Red 5 could not be deployed or enchanced at all
>>23738721>If they don't have interactions with the base cast outside of the DLC stages then don't expect them to have lines with the other DLC. I mean, in the base game you can excuse it since it was written/programmed before the characters were implemented, but there's no reason that has to continue into the DLC2. They easily could have place optional lines for characters if you had the DLC 1 pack. There ARE a few optional lines here and there that reference the other DLC (like if you have the pre-order DLC, they've mentioned as far as I"ve seen twice they have other people like Ryoma who came from other dimensions are stuck here,), but you don't get the actual characters appearing for some arbitrary reason.
>>23738744Why is a lack of SRW at a Nintendo direct the indicator that there's not going to be an expansion?
>>23738782Folks are STILL not used to not have a 'two SRW per year' schedule. Also general internet anxiety.
>>23738767The X MCs have a few lines when the golems first appear in DLC1

Got to the start of chapter 6 on this playthrough and STILL no finale mission for DLC 2. They really did want you to play this DLC late game.
>>23738026>>23738042>>23738049Could go all-in with both meanings combined in English:"Downdraft from the great frozen mountain"
>>23738039>we all look forward to seeing which units they animate.NGL - I want to see 'em do Tekkaman Blade. It would be pure visual kino.Or LoDM Gaiking's Face-Open.
>>23738354>Going by this the next DLC could release 2nd half of April or first half of MayWhich would coincide with the 35th anniversary hitting, if I'm not mistaken. The timing is good. TOO good really, for it not to be used.
>>23738568Nope. It's baked in for everyone. Also, ironically all the filter does is fuck things up and make them worse. You get seizures from repeated light-dark strobing, but that's not what Emperor's animations do. They're just a few overbright shifting lightning bolts against a dark background, but the average scene brightness doesn't really drastically change. Only the distribution/shape of it does. (And only somewhat.)The filter they added though, is a fucking STUPID implementation that is not performing a brightness low-pass taking the overbright down to average levels - but rather is just dimming the WHOLE scene. And it activates and deactivates inconsistently during e.g. the Thunderbolt Breaker, which actually CAUSES the strobing that can lead to seizures.(I know because I'm mildly sensitive to those patterns, and where V's unfiltered Emperor is fine for me, Y's Emperor literally gives me headaches if I watch his animation too much.)
>>23738803Jeeg fans eating good though
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AIj0AhxsyoWill it ever return to SRW?And also not as plotless DLC only stunt casting?
>>23739017Nope. Alternatively yes but no Rapier playable because of VA death.
>>23739034I could see them going for Aya Endo they're fine with replacing actors if they died before recording lines like with Duke and Hikaru Ichijyo.
>>23738976I saw it interpreted in the subs for New Getter or whatever as "Avalanche rolling down the mountain".
>>23739017For a chip-tune version, this had NO business sounding as good as it did. Even on the NDS's shitty built-in speakers.Absolute wizardry.
>An entire on-board conversation just teasing a Jeeg x Combattler combination.Man.
>>23739127The NDS had a headphone jack
>>23739132Admit it. You love the fact that they're still capable of entertaining the idea; and haven't lost the divine spark just yet.
The K playthrough has mostly become people arguing if the OG mechs are lame or not.
>>23739171I think they’re ok designs.
Have all Super Robots animated like Jeeg and have all Real Robots animated like Red 5. That would be nice....
So anyone wants to know the plot of this DLC at all? It isn't as interesting as the first one.Basically, you find the three series.- Jeeg is coming back from "retirement" after defeating the Jamatai Kingdom. He lost his evolution.- Getter Noir G is from another world, and you only get Getter 1 at first. I don't know if its backstory changes between appearances, but in SRW Y they're clones of the originals made to fight the leader of the Invaders, Brahma.- Da-Garn is from the main world as SRW Y, he just didn't appear before. He moves to the A.Advent.After the introductory stages, you get sort of an "update" stage for everyone, where they gain either another attack (Jeeg) or complete form (Getter Noir G). Red Lone attacks Da-Garn once. Throughout the stages, you're helped by a mysterious robot that looks like a Brave. It just helps you out of sticky situations and leaves. After a few stages, General Hadias (Mazinkaiser) revives and manages to revive Queen Himika (Jeeg villain) as well. The Mazingers prepare a trap for them and eliminate both while Jeeg finally regains his evolution. Although Himika is fighting together with Hadias, there is no new enemy unit, it's just Hadias again. After more stuff, your people brainstorm the identity of the mysterious robot and realize it's actually a robot with no pilot. They finally speak to it and it's actually friendly to them. It says it has no name and lacks a purpose as well. Seiji (Da-Garn) tries to name it "Purpose", but it rejects that name. Then they get their DLC name (Team EX) and append "is" to it. Thus "Exis". He says he found his purpose in fighting against injustice. He goes around the world wrecking enemies and everyone thinks he's a hero.
>>23739184Then it's finally time for Getter Noir G to go back to its own world. Arc and G fire their Getter Beams at a singular point and create a portal back to Braneworld (original world of Noir). However, Ryoma realizes he has more to do here and allows the portal to close. He says they only needed to prove it was possible to open the portal, not exactly to cross it. Exis sees this and denounces Ryoma for abandoning his purpose, and says Yz-Next are Evil. He still goes around the world wrecking stuff, but there seems to be a catch. He's been seen with some weird robots from the T World. He's destroying them all the same, but it seems like they always appear wherever he is. Anyway, your people confront Exis about it and he reveals those robots were repurposed by him (so it's kind of a con). He still denounces Yz-Next as evil and departs in unfriendly terms, leaving 60 or so of the robots for you to fight. After that, in the final stage it'll reveal all of its story - it's a robot from another world that was created to uphold justice, but because of something it was abandoned by its creators. It has been recovering its memory until now, and then finally says Yz-Next itself is fueling the fires of conflict. So of course by destroying you, he surmises the conflicts will end (at least the heaviest conflict). He teleports everyone to his dimension (same map as Barao fight), you fight him, he recovers his HP twice and he enters his final form. Not really, he just gains another attack. After you defeat him once again, he realizes his mistakes and sends you back to your world by sacrificing his body. The end.Actually they recover his will and keep it inside System Nira-Kana-I. Echika says they'll work on restoring his body, but only the main people (Echika, Annina, protagonist) know about his survival for now. The three DLC guys stay on the Yz-Next. The end. There's no mention of the other plotline (Alfcourt and Gulliver).
>>23739184It just felt like a plug for an Expansion Pack, but ultimately, these two DLC would be the Expansion Pack, I guess? Maybe buying both and try to assemble things in order could help piece the puzzle in one go. I wonder if characters between the two packs interact with each other, or their stories are genuinely self-contained.
>>23739192>Actually they recover his will and keep it inside System Nira-Kana-I. Echika says they'll work on restoring his body, but only the main people (Echika, Annina, protagonist) know about his survival for nowI guess that's most likely a hook for him to return and join your team in an expansion. Maybe in an upgraded form.
Of the new guys, Ryoma and Seiji have lines against non-DLC enemies. Ryoma has lines against McDonald and Kamui. The 2 last stages of the DLC will only appear after you defeat BUG (mid-chapter 6).Da-Garn can combine with Ga-Orn and fight in both forms (can not revert once transformed).Getter Noir G gains Zwart Shine Spark.Jeeg gains a few attacks throughout the stages, the last one being Panzeroid. The only new Assist is Captain Seiji (Da-Garn). He only joins as an Assist after the second stage. You can also get Iris as an Assist, but she's on the free DLC too.Of all the normal stages I've seen, the DLC guys don't participate at all. Even on plot-heavy stages like the final Getter fights. Not one peep from them. It would be cool if they aknowledged both Musashis.
>>23739197They always keep those hooks. I remember back in the Z series when Kouji's mother kept Kamina's and Lockon's bodies preserved for something, and nothing came out of it.
I do hope we do get an expansion cause man fighting that fuck ass cat and getting playable Exis would be great.
>>23739184>>23739192Compared to DLC1, DLC2 doesn't feel like a big singular story. You have basically 3 separate plots for the 3 shows DLC 2 adds.Jeeg returning from retirements and being haunted by an "evil spirit" that's allying with (or bringing back in late game) the Infernal Alliance. The Mazinger duo are also heavily involved with this.Da-Garn is doing the plot about Redlone's return, but with Great Da-Garn's origin thrown in. When he's defeated, he mentions he's just leaving due to Ohbosu's orders and how they will return eventually.Getter Noir G has Ryoma from another world ending up there, chased by Andromeda troops (in post-game they're said to be surviving remnants) then he learns the importance of protecting others and team work leading to the combination into Noir G.Then during the later parts of these you get the mysterious robot popping up and that story playing out like explained above.>>23739193At least as it stands, there's no interaction between DLC 1 and DLC 2.We know from the Steamdb listing there will be more DLC though.
For DLC2 I appreciate they don't spam the T enemies too muchFor DLC1 "Golden Golems" was basically the catch all solution in every single stage
>>23739199>Not one peep from them. It would be cool if they aknowledged both Musashis. They actually do talk for a bit about commander Musashi in the "Our Paths" stage (the one where Noir tries to go back to their original universe) if you do that after the Getter Emperor future stages. They're comparing the pilots of the Noir teams with the ones from this world and then Musashi brings up his other self would be the commander of the Emperor fleet, which Musashi doesn't seem to like, but Hayato notes their dedication to their mission seems similar and he takes that better.
That's another hook too, is not exactly explained why the T enemies are up and about on this world, I guess they can be still be fodder for the next DLC unless it recycles 30 enemies.
>>23739242They haven't recycled V enemies yet either. I think those would be the ones in the next DLC.It'd be cool if the enemy were some kind of Yamato-like army with a huge fleet (assuming they just make both DLC 1's and 2's alternate worlds the same one and the faction comes from there).
So Great Da-Garn GX and it's enemy looks kinda stiff and meh.Meanwhile Noir G looks amazing.
Oh, there's a Takuma vs Ryoma CG, closest thing to a crossover CG they've done in Y.
So can they hint at the Expansion Pass any harder?
>>23738972I was on ch 6 when DLC1 came out and I was able to play through the whole thing
>>23739182The combined upgrade is ugly as fuck
>>23739184>Although Himika is fighting together with Hadias, there is no new enemy unit, it's just Hadias again.oof that hurts, I guess they spent the budget on Jeeg himself
>>23739337Yeah, the excuse is that it's just Himika's soul combined with Hadias. Although what feels really cheap is that Himika doesn't get a portrait. She appears as a generic black sphere in the map and during conversations it's just her name on the text box with no image.
If anybody is curious to get Iris as a support all you need to do is play Battle Rush 2 once, you don't need to beat it or anything
Does Getter Emperor love the fatso Mushashi? Noir Musashi has no signs of scarring which I assume is because of how many times he's been cloned and replaced. I ain't gay but Armageddon Musashi is kinda handsome
>>23739334You get the last two missions after the BUG stage.
>>23739330It’s a distant hope, but I’d love it if they gave us back Rudy from T and Advent from Z3 as playable units. I miss those knockers.
>>23739366Rudy and Sistis not being playable is such a crime.
>>23739171It was the last time OG hero mech designs were any good.
>>23739336I think it could be like 70% fixed if the paintjob magically changed to one color instead of contrasting blue and orange
>>23739184Interesting, when Hadias revived in my current playthrough (stopped just before the Barao fight), there was no mention of Himika directly while Hadias was up and about, unless that's a later stage. Odd if not though.
>>23739192Exis coming back to be on our side would be pretty cool, hopefully not to just get one shot like that one scene in 30's Expansion Pack where Caruleum whipped out the old final boss mech then got smoked.
>>23739369Not even remotely true lol
>>23739183The red 5 animator didn't come back for Y haha... They're probably outsourced too.
What is the furthest you guys have gone back? I have a save that goes back 5 missions (beginning of the endgame for ag) but some of these took a long while. Thought i might go back and make some better upgrade choices, maybe actually try to get some skill point, i missed some early on. One of these last missions was just me grinding out on goons for 3 hours or something. Might take a break and go over to something else for a while. How are those g generation games?
>>23739305Really wish we could get more crossover CGs in general, last one we got was back in... X? I think?
Having finally actually gotten into both DLCs, I must say I'm surprised; the Rabbits actually stick up for Izuru a small bit during a conversation with Shotaro, and even take a turn teasing him alongside Philip instead. They even back off on dunking on Izuru's hero obsession when Shotaro and Philip offer to talk about their adventures in Fuuto.
>>23739474Please don’t remind me what a disappointment 30’s true final boss was. Not only that, but the Z3 enemies being reduced from cosmic level planet smashers to redshirts was just a slap in the face.
>>23739683Yeah, I was surprised they actually went along with the Rabbits bashing someone from another series. It fit well, but I thought they focused exclusively on Izuru due to licensing. They wouldn't want the protagonists of one show bashing other licensed characters. But, nope, since it happens to Shotaro in his own series too, they felt freedom do make the Rabbits gang up on him. Which, yeah, was nice.
>>23739132I also really enjoyed the on-board convo between Ryoma and Hiroshi, where Ryoma accidentally references Kotetsushin Jeeg
>>23739579>haha...>>>/vrpg/
Does DD have Suwabe Hiroshi as well or just Furuya Hiroshi?
>>23739922Only Furuya Hiroshi so far. The heroes haven't found Kotetsushin Hiroshi in 10th World yet.
