Bright and Mirai have been in almost every Gundam UC entry so the ending of Hathaway would really need to be emotionally impactful to really feel the depth of what bright has gone through in war. I know the series is about Hathaway but it's also closure (for now) to UC and it's various themes about politics and war. This captain (regardless of your feelings on him) has gone from 0 to knowing the most prolific pilot, to being the leader of one of the best new types with his former enemies, to seeing both of them die, to meeting the new gen pilots with some hope to once again see his own son turn traitor to follow in his former enemy's footsteps and taken from him. It's a wonderful tragedy that a lot of army men can relate to with coworkers who might have fled from the army to their sons and daughters opposing their beliefs.I feel like there is a lot of depth from a scene like that to be included. I just really hope the ending is done well
