honestly i misunderstood this show so much before i gave it a chance. everywhere on the internet i saw people glaze gurren lagann calling it the undisputed number 1 greatest mecha anime ever. it made me want to stay away from watching it cause to me it sounded like an overrated mecha anime for normies (like evangelion and 86). but i gave it a chance recently and im already on episode 14 and i just love Everything about the anime. the pacing, animation, story, characters, fights, comedy, etc, everything felt so refined. im starting to understand why people praise it so much. i cant really Think of any mecha animes that ive enjoyed watching more than this one and ive watched alot of em

I have always watched bits of TTGL, never watching it start to finish, but maybe to see what the OP is taking about, i will sit down and watch it through, and see the OPs enlightenment that I did not realize before.
