One interesting thing I like about in Super Robot series is how the titular robot is heavily implied to be sentient or at least have a bit of awareness, but it never confirms it in-series. Is that from that thing about the japanese beliefs that if you keep using a object, said object gains life due to the owners connection?

Tetusya has to switch to it from the badly-damaged Great, which moves to protect Tetsuya as he's trying to do so, with the three professors commenting that with it in its damaged and unmanned state it would have been impossible for that to happen.
