Still really like Reiji, I liked how creative this world was compared to the previous two which really opens the possibilities fir future episodes, Ameise was a fun cotw, the visual direction was better this episode, the OST and action continue to be great all around
Date and AGI are still unlikeable, WaniPat's comedy fell flat this episode, the villain of the week wasn't that interesting, felt like they could have come up with a more creative use of the mecha
Overall pretty great episode, 7/10

Show's cool and all but I really wish we see new non-cgi monster suits soon

Addendum I'm kinda scared that all the remaining Gavans besides G-Raiya, Death and the other one we know nothing about will be either CGI/props like Ameise or recolors like the ones in the intro, I'm scared that they won't want to invest much in the concepts due to this being a 23 episode season that isn't really getting any more budget than usual so I hope this half length shows don't become a trend

Makuu Space in the original did have some fun matte painting fights but most of the time it was just an excuse to teleport to the quarry or the room with the fog machine. If anything the fights were on average better outside of Makuu Space since they generally utilized the locations better than the sets.
Of course we're still in Infinity's first month so it also might end up also being the quarry every other episode.
