They are alternate universe Zeta movies made by the Gundam creator himself Tomino. They are brand new movies with an alternate ending. He wanted to give the characters a better and happier ending. Neo Zeon decides to be peaceful. ZZ Gundam never happens. Mineva lives and happy life. Char disappears quietly to pursue his own path. Tomino even wanted to use brand new animation for everything but Bandai refused to approve the budget. So Tomino was forced to use old animation for a lot of the scenes.
