Debated posting this here, but why not. After twenty years, I have encoded 0083 once again.https://nyaa.si/view/2087777The description covers the details here, but I wanted to redo 0083 since I was in the mood for a rewatch, and my previous encode is not hardware decodable. It gave me an excuse to play around with some new encoding tools, and see what I can do now with color correction.0083 badly needs a new transfer, but I give it a 50/50 chance of happening these days. With Endless Waltz getting a 4K remaster, it's possible I suppose, but that obviously followed the Wing 30th hype machine, so I doubt Bandai's going to bother unfortunately.
Thank you once again for the hard work.

>>23788357Always appreciated.
>>23788421It's not genslop, anon. Things like this are the only good uses for it, so long as a human makes the final pass at quality control, which I suspect OP did. I wish gen-nAIggers a bullet to the back of the head, but stuff like upscaling old shows that aren't likely to ever see any love from their current owners is a great thing to see. Plus, 0083 is my favorite in the franchise, ever since I saw the trailer for it on Journey to Jaburo. Helps set the stage more logically for Zeta.
>>23788499I'm not watching an AI upscale. It risks damaging my immortal soul.
>>23788357>HEVC>FLACShould have been AV1 and Opus.
>>23788499God you have garbage taste. Please off yourself.
>>23788541>Kissless incel #3458235 bitching about the Nina subplot because the notion of a woman being anything other than the protags cocksocket sends them into apoplexyDon't even start, don't even try. You faggots are as predictable as you are insufferable. Just make sure you when you snap and start your high score run, begin with yourself for extra points. >Hide thread
>>23788560Dude you set yourself up for so much trolling giving all that material to someone who was probably just calling you stupid for liking AIslop.
>>23788357thank you
>>23788537I unfortunately don't have any AV1 decoders in my home, and as this was done for own "convenience", I stuck with HEVC here. It's true, I could have shaved quite a bit off with Opus though, but I was just in a fuck-it mood with that.>>23788502Not even really an upscale given it's the same end result resolution. I tried creating a 1x model at first and wasn't pleased with the result.
>>23788357Thanks for that Eureka Seven encode mate. Any early 00s digital anime you’re planning to do next?
>>23788357Thank you. Loved the Big O upscale
>>23788499>0083 is my favorite in the franchiseWhy, legitimate question, I'm genuinely curious. Every time someone says this I'm tempted to give it a rewatch
>>23788499Stardust Memories is really is one of those series that acts like a mecha litmus test .You can already tell what someone's iq is when they mention Nina.
>>23788499>Helps set the stage more logically for Zeta.Anything but that.
>>23788499>Helps set the stage more logically for Zeta.yeah, like how "oh shit this giant black frankenstien killed the fuck out of everybody" at the start of star wars just doesn't work if you don't know he's sad inside about sand
>>23789036None lol. I do things one-off when I feel like it, I'm much too old to stick with this routinely anymore.
>>23789605Based.
