Lalah creating this timeline ruined the entire show for me. The main trio were also bland and completely forgettable. It was just overall a cool premise that shit the bed completely.

GQX had some of the best animation/scene composition, character designs, music, premise/set up, and vibes/atmosphere in Gundam, at least in the first half, but the plot and pacing were ass. It was all style with no substance.

It's an interesting idea, and could've even led to some profound storytelling, but the issue is that they don't use what little time they have to focus on that tension and instead devote too much of it to the Char prequel stuff and side characters who go nowhere.The series really looses itself somewhere in the span of episodes between Deux and the Lalah reveal.The first 4 episodes I thought were very solid though. The Unicum pilot that Shuji killed was a neat foil to Machu in how she was selfishly chasing an empty desire that only made things worse. Machu's story should've led into that direction by having her parallel that and grow up from the childish ambitions she had. There's traces of such a conclusion in the finale, but it seems to be something they're not concerned about.
The joke theory that Machu was an AU Haman was way more amusing than anything that happened in the actual show.
