Explain this shit to me like I’m 5? Why are they the same logo but different colors if they’re not the same story or continuity?
different color for different continuity version
>>23793909Blue: Based on the Glory of the Losers manga, for which Katoki added on some extra parts and design tweaks to all the main MSRed: Original OVA that everyone knows. For the most part, the manga version is a retelling of the TV series, while the OVA is the Maremaia conflict. (Any other anons can dunk on me because my memory is super hazy on this)

>>23793909Basically what >>23794100 said. The Japanese text under the blue logo says "Glory of the Losers," which is basically "What if we re-told the TV show as a manga, but with more consistency while also having Katoki do the designs from the start? Also, let's throw in bonus material for fan service."Part of the idea was that if you watch only the animated works, then the Gundams go from the Okawara designs to the Katoki ones for seemingly no reason besides changing the mechanical designer. And there are also other inconsistencies in Endless Waltz, mainly the Gundams looking like their upgraded forms before Operation Meteor, which is where the GotL designs come in.Anyways, they're both technically part of the same continuity, but whenever you see the logos on the Gunpla kits, it mainly comes down to whether the design appeared in the OVA or the manga.
