Started rewatching Obsolete. I never got how this modification worked.

I ask because, since Exoframes are alien in origin, and that they're controlled by mind, how can you make this Exoframe fire the type of turret depicted with this Exoframe? This is from episode 3 (the story with Exoframe pilots from the Indian Army's Ladakh Scouts and a Japan Ground Self-Defense Force officer named Rei Miyajima detecing an Exoframe unit from the Pakistan Army's Azad Kashmir Regiment infiltrating the Siachen Glacier), so how were the Pakistanis able to make Exoframes fire the turret attached to the rear even though they're alien in origin?

All the mind interface is for is to move it, which just requires maintaining though. You can just slap practical weapon controls inside the metal box you’ve mounted to it. How do you not understand how the frame works? You pull a trigger wired to the gun and it fires. Why would the frame matter for that? Are you stupid?

Because regardless of who invented the Exoframe, would it have been anticipated that mankind would make Exos into a weapons platform that the Exo could be modified to use turrets with machine guns on it? Not only that, what about attaching wheels on Exos and making them move with the wheels if you don't want to make them walk as seen in episode 4? As shown in episode 2 (pic on left from episode 2 and pic on right from episode 4 for comparison), the first Exo that the Peddlers delivered because some construction crew in Chicose, Arizona in the US offered limestone as a joke to see if the Peddlers were serious about offering Exos in exchange for limestone didn't have a wheel.

Again, were Exos built in the first place that should us humans get them, it can modified with technologies found in Earth and effectively work with them?

the exos come with their own wheels though

Forgot about that. Though I must wonder, if it really depends on what the user is thinking, and had we gotten more episodes, if it's possible to make Exos fly, or at the least, equip them with boosters to make Exos jump farther distances like how jump jets from BattleTech work?

Liked the fact that the wheels actually powered the motor for the hover boots. As for boosters and such that's kind of unfeasible for direct power. Most likely separate system like anything else on the military EXOs. Actually did think long and hard on this stuff years ago when I tried my hand at fanfics.

Figured. A pity we didn't get any more out of the universe of Obsolete.

The second season just had a joke ending more or less didn't it? For some reason I never could get around to watching it. It was neat having this mecha anthology series at all though.

We never got a resolution as to why we got hand me downs with wear and tear (the Exoframes) from aliens in the first place. As for you bringing up season 2 episode 6, I didn't watch Obsolete the first time in release order, which is why I didn't think much of that episode's ending (I plan on rewatching it soon, but that was after I went with 2, 3, 5, 4, 6, 7/season 2 episode 1, and 8/season 2 episode 2).

do you mean the rockets or the machine gun?
if it's the machine gun, i think they literally stuck an AK on it so the rider can just grab the handle and shoot like a hull gunner
>>
Season 3 when ?
>>
>>23802923
there's too much war going on right now it'd be a bit on the nose

>if it's the machine gun, i think they literally stuck an AK on it so the rider can just grab the handle and shoot like a hull gunner

I doubt it, otherwise, the Pakistani here firing at Miyajima wouldn't have been able to keep moving like he was here. And in a snowstorm to boot.

Ideally, for a season 3, just have it that the Peddlers were giving older Exos to mankind so that they can invade Earth while using newer and better Exos, and that they gave the older Exos to make the invasion "more fun".
>>
>>23802933
i'd have to imagine it's kinda like horseback archery. the exo has a degree of skilled autopilot and you only need to focus on control for specific things
iirc you even see african soldiers riding stock exos while operating AKs
>>
>>23802940

Sure, but again, that was a snowstorm. If you want to get out of there in one piece, you need to be attentive with the surroundings to make sure you don't bump into anything, which I doubt that Pakistani would be able to do since he was mostly focused on firing at Miyajima.
>>
>>23802948
i guess so...
i feel like an experienced mountain combat soldier would be able to pull it off
>>
>>23802935
Boy I’m glad you’re not writing it
>>
>>23802948
You just don’t want to be wrong even though you’re so wrong
>>

Actually did had a dumb idea on why they are even selling these things. Again for a fic, but would have been both funny and mundane as hell.
