>>23801252Yes that is correct.
Fixed a few issues. In my defense it was supposed to be a quick sketch before bed

>>23801094I guess that's how much MS have become objects of myth to some people in later UC?
>>23801094How many calories are in a Minovsky reactor?
>>23802716they're not "mythical", they just incorporate some plastics that are vaguely edible after cooking
>>23801094 this is some fuckin horseshit dude
I still love this
>>23801000I want to see someone destroy Anaheim and the resulting collapse set the precedent for the Federation becoming CONSENT
>>23804553That's not a real kit, is it?
>>23804963A fucking variable flight MS that turns into a Ballerina with literal VSBR legs is still one of the sickest designs in Hasegawa's wild rides. It's right up there with the Fedora Freddy Kreuger MS that is the Desphys. Honestly, I've seen lots of people shit on the Thoucus designs, but aside from the last one that's just all of them cobbled together and the one that's literally just a Dogu doll with guns and thrusters glued on to it, all of them are pretty nice.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCMk6ty8RjgThe fan animated Ghost PV shows that in motion and treated with the right amount of cool dynamism, they all look pretty nice.
>>23805062The Kirjarugu is unironically one of the coolest UC designs ever. If there are people that love wanking off the Gaia from Seed, then I'm allowed to love the suit that turns from a chonky suit that looks like its wearing an Executioner Hood, into a goddamn Lion.
>>23805069god the jovian monoeye is the sexiest fucking thing
Why would mobile suits go back to having simpler one-screen monitor cockpits (as shown in G-Saviour) when 360 degree view cockpits have been the industry standard since the 0080s? The 360 degree view cockpits were in every mobile suit shown in Victory where the Federation is effectively falling apart. Technology/industry devolving due to numerous wars and crises argument doesn't make sense considering that humanity had enough industrial capacity to build a whole new Side, as well as the fact that the OYW, Operation Stardust and the Gryps Conflict were far more destructive on a larger scale than whatever was shown in later UC. If the situation that lead to the formation of CONSENT and others was so dire that it basically nuked technological progress to the point where people had to repurpose older suits, then by the time of the 220s there would have been far more unused 360 degree cockpit MSs than one monitor ones.
>>23805138Economic and logistical breakdowns are much more devastating than wars, death or disaster for a civilizationSee the Bronze Age Collapse
>>23805138IIRC it's not because of loss of technology, it's because of lack of experience. Pilots from the old wars are long dead and the overwhelming bulk of modern day pilots wouldn't have any practical training with getting accustomed to a panoramic monitor. Even if it's overall better and easier to use once you're familiarized with it, regular screens are more immediately intuitive.
>>23805138Some pencil pusher did some numbers and now we're 50 years backwards, because what are you gonna do about it? just like real life
The actual answer here is that G-saviour was built on a budget of dreams and shoestrings so they didn't really bother hammering out all the technical details. In Crossbone Seerauber, which is furthest UC entry in the timeline short of G-saviour (or Gaia Gear) everyone was still using Panoramic Monitors as standard MS interface hardware. There's no reason why these things suddenly became obsolete or hard to make after a literal century of them being standard installations in mobile suits. If we ever get back to the G-saviour era, I imagine we'll retcons and see Panoramic Monitors again.Wanna talk weird cockpit stuff that they pretend never happened? Whatever happened to those arm sphere control things we see in CCA? Something Rakers they're called. But in just about every other UC stuff we see after CCA, everyone is back to standard cockpit controls with sticks and switches and all that.
>>23805158>The actual answer here [makes shit up]And you don't know about arm rakers and when they were used. Fake fan.
>>23805158Arm rakers were cool, but animation budgets of tv shows dont match CCA and sticks are much easier to drawWhat really pisses me off is trying to shoehorn touchscreen phone design into the controls in Unicorn. That is going to date it harder than the analog controls of the rest of the series (which will always be the standard for military equipment)
>>23805161>makes shit upShow me actual in-universe documentation of people losing schematics of Panoramic Monitors then anon. No amount of economic hardships will destroy technology that is already widely implemented by that point. It's like saying the 2008 economic crisis made LCD/Plasma/OLED monitors unable to be reproduced by 99% of the population and so everyone and technology everywhere had to readapt to using CRT monitors once again.
>>23805158Pretty sure that the Xi from the Hathaway movies also still used Arm Rakers. But jokes aside, it is silly to think that Panoramic Monitors apparently became obsolete/difficult technology in super late-UC. By UC 220, Panoramic Monitors is a 130+ year old piece of technology. Even considering harder times and logistics, it's a bit goofy to think that producing mobile suits is still feasible but apparently fancy monitors are too hard an ask?
>>23805168Go find a source that Okawara didn't know what he was doing when working on G-Saviour mecha design.
>>23805158>Whatever happened to those arm sphere control things we see in CCA?It was harder to animate than the levers so they dropped the idea after CCA. They came up with a lore reason though. In universe pilots suffered from losing their grip on the arm raker when the pilot was jolted pretty hard. The ones that survived the mishaps complained loudly to MS engineers so they reverted controls to joysticks and levers that could be gripped.
>>23805185Does Okawara also go into depth about the internals/cockpit though? Same reason you have people here saying that they just dropped Arm Rakers because they were a pain in the ass to draw/animate. We don't see Panoramic Monitors in G-saviour, not because of some kind of logistical collapse, but because doing fancy shit like that in live action in a 1999 movie that already barely has a budget just isn't financially feasible.
>>23805158Sunrise designed G-Saviours setting with the clear intent of a technological regression, what Hasegawa unilaterally pulled out of his ass decades later doesnt change that since Sunrise works always take precedence over manga
>>23805168>2008 economic crisisThe collapse in between Victory and Dust was more akin to the fall of Western Rome, the Byzantines, or one of the many dynasties of Egypt or China. It was a total economic, political, and societal collapse into a dark age. It's like Lostek in Battletech
>>23805194Well, yeah. It's all mechanical design. Literally his exact job.Maybe you're right, but you could easily be making up so unless there's some kind interview or other material stating it the whole discussion is moot.Regardless, the in-universe explanation for Arm Rakers being largely dropped as quickly as they were adopted is because while they do allow for quicker reactions as everything is literally at your fingertips it's also easier to get your arms hurt when attacked while holding onto them. Not a good trade for the vast majority so the setup only rarely pops up.
>>23805203I imagine pilots could make a requisition for arm rakers in their suit if budget permits, but would be a specialty option and not standard
>>23805210Maybe. We see it in use by high-end prototypes like Xi and even F90, but in some cases it's also kept around because the suit couldn't be retrofitted like some Sleeves units.
>>23805147>>23805199>technological regressionWhat kind of logistical and economic breakdown at some point between the 150s-220s causes a technological regression that undos the industry standard that's been unchanged for about 100 years but keeps the capability to build and maintain a whole new group of colonies?
>>23805289consider watching Victory Gundam!
>>23805291I watched it. Nothing in it points to a collapse of that scale. The Earth is basically a ghost town outside a handful of designated cities but most of humanity (including the Feddie government) is in space and on the Moon. The colonies that were shown in Victory didn't seem to have any serious issues aside from insane totalitarian governments. Infrastructure and engineering companies worked normally.
>>23805289You realize the tech to build O'neill Cylinder colonies was available in the 1970s? We also had electric cars in the 1920sVideophones in the 40sTechnology is not a linear line. It goes back and forth and many factors contribute to it being adopted, lost or just dropped
Unrelated to Late UC, but it might interest my Titans brothers from /aoz/ that lurk here. The final volume of Gundam Wearwolf was translated and uploaded to Mangadex (alongside some funny scanlator drama).
>>23805359oh neat. Nabbed it from Zeonic's patreon a while back through alternate means but it's good it's available now. I like it a lot and I'm a shameless sucker for happy endings like thisAlso the biosensor fuckery is great, always cool to see that sort of stuff.Incidentally with any luck /aoz/ could start up again at some point. Really just waiting for a new Reboot volume to drop, once we have that the thread should sustain itself for quite a while since it's been a while.
>>23805369I haven't looked through it yet, but I think it's a volume release which got extra pages. At least the last chapter looks beefier, so you might want to check it.
>>23805359Imagine if the MTL bitch gets him banned based on Dex's new rules. No more Gundam manga. Shit IDK where I'd even go if that did happen.
>>23805378Literally nothing new in it, just restructured chapters since Ace fucked everything up when it was serialized.
>>23805707Ah, I see. At least it's more readable now, I guess.
No idea where else to ask this, but are the Crossbone Vanguard translations of Ghost actually MTL or was that just Deacon being a cunt for no reason?
>>23805810They are. I mean, if you can't tell from the highly stilted dialogue idk what else to tell you. It's same guys that tried middle fingering Zeonic with Valpurgis (and failing)... They roped in the Sequel TL dude but I think he's MTL too since Pulitzer has really dumb simple translation errors like Captain Amuro and Bunch... Which you very much get from Google and deepL (I read novels that way). They all suck one way or another, even the famed Zeonic
>>23805810They very obviously are not
>>23805903Yes, helium bomb is quite the accurate translation when it should be hydro. Chinese scans are far superior. Dude on Reddit legit said he didn't know Japanese . People are too stupid to see when shit is wrong
>>23805967troll
>>23805866>errors like Captain Amuro and Bunchthese are literally correct dumbass
>>23801094That pot is filled with liquid cancer.
>>23805970Amuro is Lieutenant dumb fuck and Bunch is an obvious mistranslation of Banchi which is fucking address, not a bunch of colonies.
>>23806065He was a captain in Zeta and CCA. And "Bunch" has also been used for this for longer than you've been alive.
>>23806076He was a fucking lieutenant in both. Taii has always been translated as Lieutenant across the official releases. If the dumbfuck translator can't look that up easily enough. Well. Even the wiki is right. Bunch hasnt been used since the Zeta VHS fansubs because they didn't know any better. You think Gundam Official called it the 30 Bunch Incident? Fuck no. Literally no one has used Bunch. Even origin uses Banchi which makes far more sense than Bunch
>>23806082okay, you sure seem to think you know a lot about many things. i don't really care to play kindergarten teacher here.
the early ST-Gan's color scheme is so fucking assI love it.
>>23805866I hadn't even started reading them yet so I didn't see the stilted dialogue, was curious before I would bother starting (which I guess I wont, I'll just wait 20 years for Deacon to finish I guess)And judging by the replies I'll trust you more than >>23805903
>>23806130Bruh you're seriously trusting the sperg? Embarrassing.
>>23805369>Incidentally with any luck /aoz/ could start up again at some point.I should hope so because we just got new gooning material
>>23801094What, you think space industries are gonna use plastic derived from petroleum? Lol
>>23806708No, but I would expect it to be treated with chemicals that render it toxic. also I knew it was a great post to get this one rolling.
>>23806746I mean, it's definitely not GREAT for you but it's better than starving to death
Hasegawa-sensei's Crossbone Gundam Dust is wonderful because it transforms the despair of the Universal Century, which began with a colony drop, into hope through another colony drop!
>>23807940This is kind of a shit drawing
>>23806746it really wasn't since it just brings the crossbone hating trolls and fake fans out of the woodworks
Crossbone can be traced back to Barzam And Victory to Hazel
Still think this concept was bitching
>>23808058Crossbone and Victory both come from the same Cluster, while Barzam itself can be traced back to Hazel as mass-produced version of Hazel Hrair. What are you even talking about?
>>23808237Barzam -> BR-GM -> BR-GM C2 -> BR-GM C2 Mahaus -> Crossbone Vanguard mobile suits -> Crossbone GundamAs for Victory? Heh, let's say the truth is at its fingertips...
>>23808241>BR-GM C2 Mahaus -> Crossbone Vanguard mobile suitsYou're reading too much into it. You could just as well claim that they came from Zaku via Lehr Doga. Or from Gundam Alex via Tristan.>Crossbone Vanguard mobile suits -> Crossbone GundamBruh...
>>23807995I like Crossbone overall and its overall storyline. I just think Hasegawa was the wrong guy for it because his writing and original characters always gravitate towards super robot or captain harlock. He snaps back to real robot, but will start to drift again. It did give us funny shit like newtype chimps piloting chimp Zakus, a kid 1v1’ing a ms in a space gladiator arena and winning, the ball gundam story causing a chain of events that made Solomon fall and influencing the size of the Zeong (it was all probably a tall tale by that old pilot), the pirate themed ms and ships, the MS with a fedora, and now people eating mobile suits
>>23808263I simply cannot respect this.
>>23808263>because his writing and original characters always gravitate towards super robot or captain harlockI feel like neither is particularly out of place for UC.
>>23808263>a kid 1v1’ing a ms in a space gladiator arena and winningI want a Gundamn spin-off about rank and file soliders running around mobile suit battlefield trying to survive while slowly destroying a bunch of mobile armors using gimmicks, environment and explosives.
>>23808292And every time another of you dipshits asks for this very exact same thing I smile knowing that shit will NEVER happen :D
>>23808292I gotchu
>>23808295My uncle works at Kojima Productions and he said that it will be the next AU after Production I.G.'s
>>23808292The closest so far is that one episode of MS Igloo 2 where some Feddies early in the war ran around on a jeep with a large mounted ATM luring Zaku II F types unaccustomed to Earth's gravity and environment into places with large pitfalls and when the Zaku slipped into one they'd nail the cockpit with the ATM.I would like to see it too, though. You would think that late UC would have more examples of it due to the smaller MS sizes and various factions wanting to expend less resources
>>23808359it's actually the opposite, Zakus would dig a trench and bury themselves with dirt and camo nets to hide and then ambush the Feds
Does anyone have full RAWs for Crossbone DUST?
>>23808776Look up 機動戦士クロスボーン・ガンダム DUST on Nyaa. And if you somehow live in a shithole that can't torrent, they link sites with direct downloads on the page for the DUST torrent.
>>23808864Thank you fellow anon!
the yaoi that never was...
>>23806385looks so cool
>>23809062Putting on that fucking eyepatch was on the RG kit was a goddamn nightmare.
>>23809442>>23806385I can't tell if the weapon containers and the cannon hat and antenna are, like, WAY off or it's the perspective here or EW know something I don't. Any of these are likely honestly
>>23809926Altessein after pic related
>>23809926they do look noticeably chubbier compared to the drawing now that you mention itstill buying some thoughnot the first time the Gunpla fucked around with the TR6 proportions either
So where are people reading cluster now?
>>23810922I was going to say that a volume just dropped recently on Mangadex, but Zeonic was banned and purged there apparently after a bit of a drama. Oops.
>>23811006>but Zeonic was banned and purged there apparently after a bit of a dramalmao what the fuck is-https://x.com/zeonicscans/status/2041247857731395631>I run a Patreon and thus "violate" their "corporate" rules so I was blocked from uploading. According to their clearly cut and paste legalise, I'm "competing" with themI fucking hate Deacon and love to laugh at his own jewery getting screwed over, but lmao at Mangadex for this too. For literal years now, a bunch of groups have been shilling their patreons, paypal, shitcoin wallets etc as a way for begging for money and they didn't mind. Now apparently its not allowed? I hate begging for donations/money, but its one of those things that I just learned to ignore and have more or less accepted as a permanent part of the scene. Mangadex is really speedrunning its own destruction huh.
>>23811075Zeonic has a history of being an absolute arse with an ego the size of a colony but he does do good work and I can't really blame him for having a patreon, I'd do the same thing lolAnd at least this mess looks to be firmly on mangadex's side which really shouldn't surprise anyone, the site has been killing itself or like a year if not much longer
>>23811075baka all niggas just wanting a handout and a handjob nowadayswhy can't they just do professional work in exchange for likes and prayers like before? learn to fill your stomach with thankyous instead of starbucks, the fucking state of things nowadays
>>23811077My first experience with him was hearing him on a podcast and he never came off that way. Guess he sounds like a dick in text format more than anything >>23811100Are likes and prayers going to buy the material you get to take in for free? Put food on the table? Gundam media is hardly pirated anymore so even relying on free raws is impossible. >>23811075How's he getting screwed over? Now he has no incentive to post anywhere other than Patreon. It's us relying on him that get screwed. Dex went corporate that's why they're against it. Four groups that ask for stuff (not the shit coin variety) got nuked on there because of them. And now they've stopped scanlating entirely. So fuck Dex
>>23811075Dex mods say he threw a tantrum and it was never about him having a Patreon but because he was hoarding chapters instead of posting there... So it was about his Patreon, but they won't say it was. Rando mod is butthurt and is extending Zeonic an olive branch. Guess his purge hurt them somehow. Dunno who to believe on either side. Either Zeon is lying and wanted attention or dex is losing audience from lack of Gundamn
>>23811122>Put food on the table?Work a real fucking job then.I'm not against people opening a "gib money pls :(" side hustle for their work, but I come from and participated in the era when people do fan projects like this for passion and love of the thing. Rather than beg for money, we redirected them to avenues where the original creators can reap the benefits instead of us. If you gotta do it because you're one missed paycheck away from sucking dicks in a back alley, then do what you need I guess. But beggars will always be lesser in my eyes than people who do it for the love of the game and doesn't ask for anything.>How's he getting screwed over? For better or for worse, Dex offers exposure. It's the most popular hub for scanlations. You think the people that still upload on Dex do it because they love the site?
>>23811100this is satire right>>23811128oh god it's notSimple question: did you ever work on fan projects like that for nothing at all?
>>23811128nigga the moment he works a real job I guarantee you people will bitch that it takes forever for chapters to come out
>>23811129>did you ever work on fan projects like that for nothing at all?Yes. All the people in our group did it for the love of the very thing. We pitched in using our own wallets to win an auction for some out of print book and to cover the importation fees too. We never did commissions, and just worked on the stuff we liked. Not once have we ever taken any money from our audience.I have no plans on e-celeb fagging so I'm not gonna say which stuff we worked on. So feel free to hit me with the "proof or gtfo" hammer if you want, I don't have to prove shit. And in any case, I already said that if you gotta beg for money, then do so if you're really in dire straits. But I will hold you in lesser opinion than those that don't.
>>23811137ok schizo
>>23811129Not that guy, but yes, I have. Have zoomers become so cucked that they cannot comprehend people working on something out of passion alone?
>>23811139>>23811144
>>23811124>but because he was hoarding chapters instead of posting thereI mean, so? Far be it from to defend that faggot Zeonic, and I agree that Hoarding chapters is fucking gay, but uploaders having control of what actually gets uploaded is what makes an open community like Mangadex what it is. Hoard some chapters in your own site/paywall? Then get fucked and sniped by some other group that wants to try their hand at that series. That's how the site works. There's no hard rule only one entity can handle a series. There's also plenty of other groups that have shameless kofi/patreon shilling stuck in their release on the Dex that remains unpurged. I'm not taking a side here because I think both Zeonic and Dex Mods are fags, but this reeks to me of far less a disagreement between site policies and more on a bitch fight between egotripping dipshits.
>>23811128Don't think Zeonic needs the exposure. I'm an old fart and the dude has been around for a couple decades. Torrenting was his go-to back in the day, not some corporate manga hustler site. He did this shit for free and only started asking for money like maybe the last five years? Not gonna lie, we see way more from him with money rolling in so I'm not complaining. Generosity has its limits, that much is for sure. Plus, it's not like his shit doesn't end up freely available in the end, whether it's him or a Patreon leech. Doesn't suit you, that's fine. Don't read his material then, not that hard. I ignore the paycoin scammers and wait for pirates of the pirates. Simple. >>23811137It was probably a dogshit release no one cares about anyway. If you're expecting ghost felatio you're in the wrong place.
>>23811131Dude already has one. And he's still plenty slow. >>23811162Near as I can tell someone who took a stab at a volume that Zeonic didn't release got their panties in a bunch when their MTL slop got jumped by Z dumping an entire volume and the gatekeeping and hoarding commentary was tossed around. Shits been pirated since last year on the usual Patreon sniper sites so dunno why they just didn't steal that and upload it. Zeonic says on the forum he had a request to take down three titles and then just killed everything for whatever other reason. Dunno how screwing us readers is an ego trip when he has to listen to us asking for titles. GIVE ME ORIGINAL CROSSBONE BACK DEACON. I KNOW YOU FUCKING HATE IT
what a civil discussion
>>23811168>If you're expecting ghost felatio you're in the wrong place.Funny how you throw that insult at me when my entire platform is being of the crowd of fan projects that want as little obligation and interaction from the audience as possible. We release stuff we ourselves were interested in, audience reads it. Simple as. If you're so eager to talk about Ghost Blowjobs, just look at your own post because you're already deepthroating Deacon over there. But shit's gotten way too off-topic already. If you're the type that needs to get the last word in, then give me the one last (You) that calls me a faggot and let this shit end here lest mods (if any of them actually still exist on /m/) purge the thread.
There is not a single time when Deacon is brought up on /m/ and the thread doesn't suddenly turn to shit. Some stuff just never changes.
>>23811183Now you're blowing yourself. Fucking pathetic. Take that shit somewhere else. Also, lol at expecting mods here. You must be a lying newfag. >>23811184Always cracks me up how a random schmuck on the internet bugs people that badly. Y'all must be autistic as fuck and need to touch grass.
Op here, first thing I know checking out this thread after waking up is some argument about deacon. Cmon it’s not like he’s the only one scanning the chapters for cluster. Be civil folks
Will Hasegawa croak before he reaches the UC200s and has to deal with the GG/GS fiasco?
the last thread was much better...
>>23811259He literally is the only fucking ENG scanlator for Cluster.
>>23811339Is that why the wikia hasn’t been updated with new mobile suit profiles for cluster? It’s not like they’re just twiddling their thumbs just waiting for him to post the pictures, gundam ace can be used by any subscriber.
>>23811361i suspect it's because the wikia just kinda sucks ass
>>23811137I don't mind a begging page (hate the groups that put it on the real pages), but I will back you up here. I used to be a fansub encoder and the most my group ever begged for was like $40/mo to cover the XDCC and torrent seed boxes for our releases. I bought over the years like $800 in Bluray disks for that group and got nothing money wise back.

>>23815901It was never EXPLICITLY stated. The roundtable was always an informal sort of what if. Also, Producer Ogata said a decade ago that adherence to official history is no longer a priority. They let the creatives create. So instead of saying go look up Mark like a dumbass, maybe you should check in on current Sunrise commentary instead.
>>23815928F90 is a standalone story and doesn't have much to do with F91 other than fleshing out the couple of years before the F91 movie.
are there still no scans of the compiled MMM volume book? I know it's mostly nothing but it'd be good to have good quality lineart of F89 for example
>>23815928>>23816038Yeah, the main connection between F90 and F91 is the tech tree, there isn't actual plot going from F90 to F91.
>>23819015Eh, there is actually some with the showing of the lead up of the Crossbone Vanguard/Cosmo Babylonia with both them secretly testing their suits and being outright named in Cluster. That said it adds much less to F91 than just the first Crossbone manga does.
>>23818948what's the book called?
>>23819055Mobile Machine Vol 1Near as I can tell it hasn't been scanned and put up on the usual sites yet
On the usual sites no, but at least a guy on Weibo posted it complete (in 5 batches, if I recall) a few days after the book was published
>>23819667Missing lots of pages. But the completed ones are up on the usual sites. Guess people are blind as fuck
I'm getting the impression we are talking about different "usual sites"
Hmmm...
>>23819859F-Alex?
>>23819975Definitely the inspiration for it.
>>23819975It would make sense, seeing that around the time F-90 originally came out was around the same the time Bandai was attempting to redesign Gundam's mecha designs and the art style as a whole

>>23825389>>23825408the way FF, Cluster and Pulitzer to boot have expanded on Bosch is honestly amazing. From little more than traitor to a character that saw all the tragedy and darkness of the Universal Century until it broke him. He saw the "Gundam" take so many noble souls so many times and he still chose to take that role himself, to try and finish things himself instead of letting the next generation take that burden.Except... he waited too long. Char had noble goals but was too impatient. Bosch didn't act, he stayed on the sidelines until he became a part of that darkness. From Principality through Karaba and Londo Bell and to Oldsmobile, Bosch always worked towards the future. Even when he lost his way he prayed that the next generation wouldn't follow in his footsteps and find their own path instead.

>>23825389>>23824309>A Mars custom F90IIIY would integrate aspects of the ReZEL, Hi-v Gundam, Jegan, and Delta Kai
>>23831970My fatigue with constant influx of new Zeon Remnants is at odds with my opinion that Oldsmobile is a genuinely cool faction and FF/Cluster has only cemented that view of mine.
>>23833875What I like about Oldsmobile(extension of Zeon Mars) was that they never did come out of nowhere, being the second largest remnant faction they supported Axis faction from the shadows and had a brawl with titans remnants, gradually gaining enough technology until they were able to recreate old machines and unused principality ideas with highly modern specs, and struck while the federation believed by late UC that it was over. They were essentially the last hurrah/swan song of Zeon as a whole
>>23811137>But I will hold you in lesser opinion than those that don't.Nobody cares.

>>23836781I eventually realized I hate this game but fuck if they add Zanneck it might bring me back
>>23836757*Mk-V's lineage
>>23836781this game pisses me off because there's so many cool MS and models that will probably go to waste when the game shuts down one day. Also the netcode.
>>23837839Part of the reason I switched to the steam version was because if they can bring back evolution they can do this. The RF suits have been amazing
F80 is so kewl
Can't believe MMM teased us with Valiant Gundam, hope they commit to it later and don't leave it at that like the GP02/Rick Dias article. Also touch up on the other Kappa Gundam while they're at it, that'd be cool.
I wonder how much versatility you can get out of F70 in practice. Firepower-oriented Mission Pack gear is a natural fit but how about other gear, like F Pack or P Pack? How much is a "decent all-rounder" and how much is "poor man's F80"?
>>23849018It's a "wealthy man's F80", as it was made without compromises SNRI had to make for the potential mass-production to not turn into a shitshow like F71 was.
>>23849189F80 was actually slightly better than the F70 spec wise, helps that they use the same frame
>>23849189I'm talking about for purposes outside of its design. F70 is a fire support machine, I'm wondering if slapping the I pack onto it would yield pretty solid results or just be a shitty F80 in practice. Considering cost effectiveness F80 will win out every time I'm sure, but just in sheer performance.

>>23849245HERESY
>>23849245Either that or the Record Breaker
>>23849245It makes me think of the G-Self for some reason
>>23836784What's wrong with the gameOn paper it sounds like the perfect Gundam game, but all I ever hear about it is people shitting on it even from current players. Never hear any specific complaints
I love how they referenced this art when they revealed Yuri Minovsky's backstory in FF. Only fitting.
>>23850534Huh, never knew the F90 made its debut in 1990, then again it had 90 in its name
>>23850550wait till you hear when F91 came out
>>23850534You know, I never properly appreciated how cool F90 Beam Rifle is before.Only fitting that an illustration by Akitaka brought my attention to it.
>>23850551Yes I know lol
>>23850449There are issues here and there but honestly it's not godawful
>>23850449It's just a fundamentally horrible game, from basic design decisions to everything about their execution.
>>23851482Again. That described nothing
>>23850449Too slow and no camera lock. TPS mechanics just don't represent Gundam well as they need to slow down the MS in order to keep things at a pace where players can aim and react. If they had increased the speed, added a camera lock that follows an opposing player as long as you have line of sight, and made the weapons lock something you have to work for while the enemy's trying to do the same to you...probably would have made a much better game. Certainly would have helped the space combat feel more like the show. I don't want Gundam to ape Mechwarrior's schtick. As it stands the only good part of the game is a number of obscure, manga exclusive designs get nice looking, detailed 3d models. All in all, Bamco sucks at making Gundam games. Outside of specifically Rise from the Ashes, Encounters in Space, and Battlefield Record 0081, they're all pretty shit.
>>23851638Even the ones you've listed are pretty shit. I mean, I guess they were fine back then, but I played Encounters in Space recently and man that shit does not hold up in 2026.
>>23851638Ideally, Gundam games should be played with a twin-stick, like Virtual-On.
[V]SBR
>>23855623I almost want to take my MG Victory and give it a F91 weapon from my F91 kit just to see how it looks
>>23851638>added a camera lock that follows an opposing player as long as you have line of sight>and made the weapons lock something you have to work forHuh? Those kind of cancel each other out
>>23856128Seeing and attacking are separate things, you can see and track enemy movement as long as they're not hidden and in your field of view, but seeing an enemy doesn't mean you can attack them immediately, your weapons don't automatically aim at them unless I dunno, you either get close enough and/or you're at an optimal angle (no cheeky shooting from blind angle, over the shoulder, or when you're facing away)
>>23855623The thing is both the normal victory rifle and the overhang packs are VSBRs, the VS part is just standard now.
>>23856394That's only a thing with the EF beam bazooka, the beam rifle and overhang pack still get blocked by beam shields all the time and never pierce through
>>23856394I think these are regular beam weapons, but it is true that at this point VSBR tech is commonplace enough that it's not even mentioned in the name, even if the capabilities aren't as varied and extreme as F91's.IIRC the only guns that are explicitly descibed as VSBRs are the hip guns for V2A and Rig Contio's shoulder cannon. Not sure about V Dash's hip guns, but they sure do look like smaller versions of F91's VSBRs...
>>23856708really like this rendering
>>23856708If there was anything else I could adamantly say that are indeed VSBR’s is the gengaozo’s quintuple beam launchers
>>23856708>Not sure about V Dash's hip gunsAt some point I could have sworn I saw them described as VSBR but after looking around, I can't seem to find anything. This article even says the hip beam guns were not used in the story since they didn't want to have the arms unable to hold other stuff, although there's a screenshot or two showing otherwise.
Shy-Tarn has 8 VSBRsYou might not believe me but it is the truth.

I know I'm deluding myself but I can't help but hope that one day we'll get a real sequel to F91 and see the rest of the war with Cosmo Babylonia. I NEED more Crossbone Vanguard MS. Also as far as I know, none of the post-F91 stuff ever mentioned what happened to Dorel even though he should've been pretty important in the line of succession.
>>23858105My best bet is that they’ll cover the rest of the era in a F90 cluster sequel or possibly an epilogue of sorts featuring potentially the XM-09 and maybe that mobile armor modeled after Iron Mask
>>23858115I could live with that but I don't think I'll hold my breath for it
>>23858122Trust me anon, I’m in the same boat as you
Was it ever explained how Crossbone tech led to Bespa tech?
>>23858568Crossbone Gundams are made by SNRI agency, its development model code was F97 (it's a later model compared to the F91 Gundam from the F91 movie). Sometime after the events of the first couple of Crossbone manga, I think the late UC0140s, a branch of SNRI on Side 2 called BESPA goes rogue and joins the side 2 government or was taken over by it, either way they end up forming the Zanscare empire and start acting aggressively with the new military forces they developed. There's a fair bit you can read about here:https://desuarchive.org/m/thread/17666810
>>23858568It is a mystery. We know there are connections between them even though they're certainly very distinct factions, but I don't believe anything has explained the exact circumstances. By the time BESPA was developing the Zanscare machines CV suits have been around for a long time, they could have had some or data from them and referred to it in addition to their sources like Formula project and older machines. For the time being I think it's just one of these things that MS Bible suggests but little else has corroborated on it. Doesn't mean it's not true, just that there's little info. Doesn't mean it's definitely true either, they could have simply made a mistake.
>>23858568>>23858579Some of the more recent monthly mobile machine entries confirm that Zanscare took over the publication, it’s very possible that they used referential data from SNRI such as the formula project, Anaheim’s silhouette project the hardygun was specifically name dropped at one point, Crossbone vanguard, Oldsmobile, and even Jupiter empire tech. It’s no wonder they wanted to create the most efficient mobile suits as possible
>>23858881It was never a secret they're using SNRI tech, BESPA was the Side 2 branch of it
>>23858886I knew that not surprisingly
>>23858799Back in the early G Generation games, Zanscare MS relied on Crossbone ingredients. There was never any in universe explanation. Might have been purely an aesthetic choice. Only thing was former SNRI branch using beam shields tech.Okawara and Ishigaki did most of the Zanscare designs. The G Reco moon ones also have the Zanscare bug eyes.
anyone has Zeonic's translations of the monthly mobile machines for Cluster? with the leak site dead in a ditch i can't find them anywhere. FFS why doesn't he include them in the uploads on the manga sites
>>23859159They are at the end of various F90 Cluster chapters?
>>23859185only the first few
>>23857822Kek they are still shilling Dijeh in FF?
>>23859227It’s actually a customized unit dating back to the first neo zeon war, it has a Rick Dias arm after its pilot survived an encounter with Haman during one of the battles on earth. Whoever’s using it in the story managed to take down at least two Jegan J types
>>23859235where's the source on fighting Haman? All we know is it was lost during the fight in Dakar, nothing particularly impressive.
>>23859238Right here>>23859186 actually, the image quality is poor but you can see on the right text said encounter
cheeky buggers really think they're slick with it
>>23859408It’s no secret the F80 was descended from the F70 alongside the F90, it even uses the same movable frame
>>23859453yeah naturally, it's just funny how even the kit is extremely unsubtle with literally having F70's backpack. No shot it's not getting a kit down the line, though it'll be funny it gets a MG while CV suits are stuck with RE/100.Still, it'll be even funnier to stick random mission packs on it.
>>23859582CV suits weren't intended to be compatible with the F90 mission packs like the F80 is in universe. Since the F90 is MG, so is the F80. Plus half the runners are F90 labeled
>>23859582I'm kind of hoping another MG gets squeezed out of F90-F91 down the line, maybe even Victory. I don't mind the other stuff getting RE 1/100 treatment though, I've come to accept Bandai are cheap bastards.
>>23860546That's what they want you to think
>>23860949That one in particular was built based on Anaheim's Silhouette Formula data, it shouldn't count.
I really should’ve posted this earlier but the vigna zirah is in Gbo2 now. Looking at its head in more clear detail it almost kinda reminds me of a jegan even though it’s the sister unit of the ghina
>>23867098It really does look very Jeganny on this model, which is pretty interesting. The Vigna Ghina line has something of a history with Gundam-style features and I never considered this interpretation.
>>23867098>>23867105I wish the game gave you the option to swap with the Gundam head. It would be a neat feature to make a whole variant later on.
>>23867149Gorgeous, amongst the Vanguard machines of Cosmos Babylonia, this feels like an excellent rival suit to the F91, although I think the Vigna did just fine, besides the red color scheme would be too on the nose
Well the next monthly mobile machine should be coming up soon. And yet the wikia still is almost a year and a half behind, what’s taking them? If anyone asks why I keep mentioning this, it’s just an easy source that is unless someone is willing to go on there and add the missing machines
>>23869854good luck arguing with the mods when you present evidence and they still revert your changes
>>23870007Wouldn’t hurt to try, it’s official after all
>>23869854the wikia is just not very good, let's be honest here. Between lack of sourcing, outright misinformation, just plain poor writing and biased descriptions having issues with adding new material isn't any surprise.
I believe this was an idea for Build Fighters but I still really like the F91-Javelin hybrid by Ishigaki
>>23870351He also drew a Shokew customized with a Gundam headhttps://x.com/gakky1967/status/1405059841219960835
>>23870376Damn that's sexy.It's all coming together...
>>23870380>>23870376Shokew was originally planned as "Bespa Gundam" in concept artThen Grampus in Crossbone Love and Piece takes heavy influence from the Rig Shokew
>>23870387There were concepts for a Bespa Gundam but that's unrelated, Ishigaki just ended up giving it a Gundam-like face and everything because he couldn't decide on anything else and this seemed as good idea as any.
I hope we get to see more of the standard N Type in the future. The wings can mount psycommu missiles.
>>23801000do they ever confirm when the federation finally falls in UC? Obviously it's gone along time before the time of Turn A, and in Victory it's essentially on its last legs since it does fuck all the entire series (if they actually capable of doing anything they probably would have made things worse as usual).
>>23870591If you take G-Saviour as canon it fell U.C. 0218.From post-Victory up until around 0174 it didn't exist for all intents and purposes during the warring states period. Currently in Seeräuber (U.C. 0174) it kind of reformed and still exists, but is more of a formality like the modern U.N. or Holy Roman Empire circa the 1700's.
>>23870760>From post-Victory>during the warring states periodThe warring states period had begun with (or right after) Cosmo Babylonian war though. And EF WAS in Dust bankrolling Cyclops and stuff.
>>23870591Is victory worth watching, in your opinion? I actually liked ZZ despite its many issues.
>>23871300I actually really liked Victory but your mileage may very as I hated ZZ. I actually liked how bloody and simultaneously insane it got.
>>23871325Thanks! I'll check it out.
>>23871300For sure.Personally, it had been a struggle for me to go through it at first, but even then I loved the fight choreography and animation at the very least. It got much better for me when the crew had gone to space. That said, I saw a lot of people being fine with initial episodes but hating Shakti's behavior later on.
So is Silhouette Formula being cannibalized into Cluster’s plot?
