I watched X recently, I was a little surprised how little the Satellite Cannon was used. It makes sense of course but the way I've seen people talk about it like X's defining thing I thought going in it was going to be used to end every fight or something.

It's AWGX's equivalent of a nuke, a weapon designed to destroy an entire population center Ironically, many X fans say that the X-Divider is their favorite MS from the show and it notably does not have the use of the Satellite Cannon.

This led to him only deciding when and how to use it up until Carris destroyed the GX and the Satellite Cannon. When he got the DX, Garrod is more resolute to only use it as a form of warning shot lest he actually points it at his enemies should they piss him off enough, like what he did to the Frosts in the finale.
