I haven't been here for ages, but I just saw Five Star Stories is finally getting an official English release and it reminded me of whatever the hell Nagano was saying Gothicmade was going to be. Did this shit ever come out, and if it did is it scrapped? I know Nagano wanted it to be the new FSS universe so what the hell does that mean for the English volumes we're getting later this year? Will FSS actually just end? Last I remember the story was at the part where the Diver wars was about to happen.

It's periodically released in limited runs in theaters only in Japan. Nagano refuses to release it on BD/streaming because muh artistic vision and apparently it uses some kind of unique special sound mixing. The only way for you to EVER see it is to catch these very limited very infrequent screenings and the chances of you doing that as a gaijin are slim to none.

It's actually not a real, it's just an in-joke at the expense of foreigners.
Gothicmade is actually dogshit that most people just wanna see because it’s the only other officially animated FSS piece of media outside of the movie. My friend who saw it just said it was more or less of a slideshow like the old Tetsujin or Golgo anime, largely due to Nagano and two other artists animating it entirely by themselves.
