It's true that Demonbane has translation issues but saying it's no longer the top of fiction is completely false. The translation issues are mostly from the outdated translation of the spin-off novels since they were translated from Korean. Not really. Retards on VSbattles hyped Demonbane up for years with fanfic and poor translations, and you then got the people dedicated to hating on it because the power level was just that crazy.
Iirc there was a massive revision thread with a citation on every statement about the cosmology that pushed Demonbane to tier zero (the highest on VSbattles at the time) and Ultima (who I think was the one behind Demonbane getting removed from VSBW in the first place) immediately after proposed a change to the tiering system to gatekeep tier 0.
Basically Demonbane was so powerful it caused the biggest battleboard site to change the tiering system because some people couldn't cope with it basically dominating tier 0 with a large chunk of the cast.

Demonbane had the opportunity to become as big as Fate if Nitroplus had actually bothered to make one of the prequel books into a full blown high budget anime. But Nitroplus is Nitroplus, and they shelved the Demonbane sequel for Muramasa before trying to bandwagon Gacha off of FGO's success. Their most recent game was a Mecha musume Armoured Core Soulslike, but they had cancelled projects like a Paranormal Mystery VN inspired by Dogra Magra. Arsnotoria was cute too.
Hopefully now that they got bought out the IPs can have something actually made instead of trying to copy Type-Moon badly.

Hearing Demonbane was planned to have five routes with Elsa and Nero makes sense considering how Ennea kind of just inserts herself into the plot out of nowhere. Leica's route is by far the most complete while Al got the Heaven's feel treatment with cut route content awkwardly shoved in.

A reminder not to listen to the retards telling you to skip the gameplay battles because of technical issues (more like skill issues). That's like 60% of the game's content because there's no descriptive fight scene like the first one for most of the game.
The battle section is a bit janky (plays like a drunken version of ZoE), but worth the technical troubleshooting for the full experience.
