Its certainly slow, the way things unfold; but there's more of a cohesive narrative here than 30 for sure. The downside is that there is not much enemy variety especially early on, but they really did make an effort to tie things together and give relevance to each series.

For the Ide Guage, it raises depending on how much morale raises during a mission. Having a high starting morale is bad and giving Cosmo Fighter's Spirit can gimp gauge growth to the point you can't reach lvl 4

I'll post some summaries I made while I played the DLC stages.Every series has a recruitment stage. However, one plot thread common to all is that Eureka is on the run from those Agent androids, together with Iris. So you'll see them two in most of the recruitment stages. That also means that during what should be their own recruitment stage, you don't actually recruit Eureka, she just leaves until the next stage.Initial stages:Those stages are just your run-of-the-mill recruit stages, so almost nothing of note happens in them. The only thing I noticed is that Ange tries to trick Echika into joining the A.Advent, but Cross is there to shut her down and she comes out clean with her intentions.-- Contact ---- Space Runaway ---- The Intrepid Angel Smiles ---- Idol and Master ---- Enter the Ginga Bishonen ---- On the Run --You don't actually recruit Eureka here, but next stage.-- The Two Eurekas --Eureka and Iris are hiding again. Iris asks Eureka to buy her stuff to draw with. Eureka tries to make cooked eggs and fails every day. Dewey rings their doorbell (really) and they escape towards a ruined city. They're cornered by enemy mechs, so Eureka has to leave Iris nearby to fight. Yz-Next appears and helps them. Because Eureka ran away the last time, Ange grabs Iris before Eureka can, and tells her to come aboard to talk to them, or else (typical Ange). After clearing up the situation, Eureka decides to stay. Iris asks for a room to share with Eureka.Takuto gathers every DLC character around and tries to throw a party for them. This was probably setting them up to name their own group (like the last two DLCs), but most characters actually ditch the party. The Ideon guys don't feel like it, Ange and Eureka do their own thing, so that leaves only Takuto and Haruka (it seems she just didn't manage to escape in time, though).
>>23832160-- The Cosmos and the Earth --Ideon/Getter stage.Cosmo and Kasha are shutting everyone else out, because they rationalize that since they're going back to their universe down the line, they shouldn't get too cozy with the people here. Show tries to press them on the issue, but Cosmo is having none of it. Takuma finally comes and asks Cosmo to tell them about their space travels, if nothing else. There's a battle happening outside and they continue their talk there. Cosmo has doubts about being swept by the Will of Ide, and Takuma tells him he shouldn't let that happen to him - they also don't understand the Will of Getter, but they fight nonetheless. And if Getter tries to control them, then they'll face it to stay in control. Cosmo realizes that's also a path available to him. Nothing of note happens during the stage itself. Most sensitives in the cast realize there's something alien about the Ideon, but it's Amuro and Char that come out and say it's the collective wills of of people - kindalike the Willforce. Either way, Cosmo feels better after the battle and goes on to tell abouttheir adventures.-- Joining the Idols --Idolmaster/Macross stage.Walkure is giving Haruka some pointers on being an Idol. Hayate tells Haruka to give somethought to what really makes her go out there and fly. Haruka says she has a special someone, and everyone thinks it's a guy in the roster, but it's pretty obvious she's talking about Imber. Anyway, battle happens. Of note, the DLC characters don't work well together (Ange and Kasha, obviously), so Takuto tries to be sort of an informal leader to the group, which isn't working at the moment. All the enemies here are from SRW V. Hayate does the Immelmann Dance and dodges all their attacks, so Haruka tries doing an Amami Dance, which ends up with her getting hit by every attack. She ditches the dodges and just plows through. After the stage, she introduces Imber as her boyfriend. There's a nice CG of her kissing Imber.
>>23832163-- Heroes for All --Star Driver/MJP stage.Takuto is going around having the time of his life. Everyone looks up to him. Izuru wants toask him about something, but a battle interrupts their conversation. The DLC characters feel they should be more optimistic seeing Takuto take the lead (with Ginga Bishonen transformation and everything), and Takuma names them "Team Meteors", because they all met during the meteor attacks. During the fight, an enemy surprise attack almost catches the A.Advent, but Izuru and Takuto take the blows. Izuru and Takuto discuss what's like to be a Hero (Takuto seems oblivious that everyone already sees him as one). After the fight, Izuru reveals he just wanted Takuto to model for his manga.-- A Clown Laughs in the Dark --Hero/Cross Ange stage.Wako (Star Driver girl) invites all the girls to the cafe so they can have that welcome partyTakuto tried before, but without the guys. Ange and Kasha are butting heads again. Ange saysshe'll enjoy her free time, so Allenby challenges her to the arcades. After everyone leaves,Embryo appears and orders something (this foreshadows a later event). Battle starts. Ange is really raring to go because she lost to Allenby at the arcade, but there's actually a surprise this time: SRW 30 mooks! If Caruleum is on your team, he'll recognize the machines (Orcusula Dan and Orcusula In) and tell where they came from. After the fight, Cross says he has to do something first and lands on a mount nearby.He faces the guy with the clown mask that appeared before. He says his name is Usurper, discloses that he knows who Cross really is, and that he's only here to leave a message: there is an Anti-A. Advent alliance, called just "Anti-A", and that he'll come by later to take whatever is most precious to Echika. Cross tries to strike him, but he dodges effortlessly and leaves.In another place, Usurper meets Embryo and they discuss plans. They say both their brides are ready.
>>23832165-- Man From the Green Planet --Eureka 7 stage. Iris is playing with the fairies, Eureka goes to the cafe to chill out. Deweyappears in front of her and blows himself up. Eureka runs to battle. Usurper makes hisdeclaration of war here towards everyone watching in the A.Advent. He says he WILL take the A.Advent for himself, and also his bride. People ask how Anti-A can be an alliance if there's only himself on it. His reply is showing Dewey back, and also trying to box the A.Advent in with repeated reinforcements (this will be important later). You blast the mooks and the stage ends.Citizens of the A.Advent comment on how creepy it is to take Echika as a bride.-- Shining Bishonen, Dark Prince --Star Driver/Code Geass stage.Team Meteors is trying to brainstorm how to bring Usurper to their level, so Takuto and Lelouch concoct a plan: make an impromptu Walkure concert in San Francisco, and wait for Usurper to show up. And indeed, he does show up. He starts with his weird spiel again, and the audience for the show is aghast at how daring he is. Walkure runs away, the lights go out and Takuto appears dressed as the Ginga Bishounen (not transformed, but dressed as). Usurper thought they were going to catch him in the darkness, but what they do is actually have the Ginga Bishounen shine brighter than him. The audience starts to boo Usurper and he leaves in defeat. Once he leaves, he's confronted by Zero (Lelouch). Lelouch tries to goad him into doing something, but Usurperjust leaves in defeat. Enemies attack, battle etc. Tauburn gains the Sparkling Meteor Tau Missile Shower attack. Usurper says that now Takuto just became his prime target, and that he will have to get rid of him first if his plan is to succeed. Takuto just tells him to bring it on.After the stage, Lelouch relays something he just discovered: Usurper is living on the A.Advent right now. That's how he knows their strategies so well (like in the last stage).
>>23832171-- Joined Hearts --Idolmaster Stage. Team Meteors is on meteor-bursting detail, so Haruka takes point. Privately,both Haruka and Cosmo wonder if it's their fault those meteors keep showing up out of nowhere. Usurper shows up using one of the 30 mooks to transmit his usual spiel, but this time he has a new energy barrier for Haruka to run into. Her usual Faustschlag fails, so she gets an upgrade: Double Faustschlag. After more shenanigans, they defeat the enemies and Haruka reveals her worries to everyone. Your people don't actually buy that's the whole story, nevermind now that Usurper mentioned that he NEEDS those meteors to hit Earth, no matter what. Cosmo and Eureka still worry that they may also be the cause of those misfortunes, but don't divulge it.-- Bride of a New World --Cross Ange stage.The girls are talking about how much of a creep Usurper is. Battle alert. Ange doesn't deploybecause she is expecting someone inside the A.Advent. Embryo shows up inside the A. Advent and sabotages a bunch of its systems (engines and weapons). Ange tries to fight him, but he escapes.For once, there's a new objective: Embryo will leave a lot of Pyrethroids (those disc dronethings from Cross Ange), and if even one of them attacks the A. Advent, it's game over (support attack and defend also count towards this). Usurper appears again and says his crap. Even the A. Advent residents are starting to get visibly unnerved by it. Why does he keep repeating the same stuff everytime?
>>23832172-- The Ide's Trial --Ideon stage.One day, Astonaige just finds the Ideon Gun right in the way of the A. Advent (what are the odds), brings it aboard and calls Cosmo to check on it. He already knows what it is, but he decides he's going to leave the A.Advent behind lest they ask him to field test the Ideon Gun. He even left Lou behind. A lot of enemies appear and the Ideon Gauge reaches the maximum level (five). Cosmo doesn't understand why, but fights nonetheless. After you defeat the initial wave, another huge wave (60+ enemies) appears and Cosmo decides to finally use the Ideon Gun.Of note is that a lot of characters will voice how afraid of the Ideon they are. All the fairies,all the sensitives, all the DLC characters have some lines for it. The Gauge goes back one level.After the battle, Echika calls the Ideon team aboard so they can explain themselves, and Cosmo finally opens up about the Ideon. He asks Echika to destroy the Ideon. She refuses, but actually keeps that option in mind for the future. The fairies go hide in their rooms and don't want to talk to anyone. That just shows how afraid of the Ideon they are.-- Humanity's Path --Hi-Nu and Nightingale stage.Char, Amuro, Quess, Gyunei and Kamille arrive at Von Braun to receive their new machines.Quess isn't feeling so good because of the Ideon. Amuro and Char exchange some banter.During the tune-up, Char and Amuro can't deploy until the data is transferred between units.The A.Advent shows up, and Quess goes berserk as soon as she sees the Ideon. She says she's being swallowed by it, and tries to keep it away by firing in all directions. Gyunei and Kamille try to help her, but it takes Amuro and Char to get her back to her senses. She remembers her father.After the stage, Usurper appears right in front of system Nira-Kana-I and exchanges some words with Annina. She realizes the system reacted to Usurper, so he must be someone they know.

>>23832175-- The Usurper --The citizens are protesting, demanding a truce with Anti-A. While Echika tries to calm them down, they just get angrier and angrier. Even the owner of the A.Ardent is against her. She then realizes Usurper is in their midst and calls him out. He appears and tells everyone he'll own the A.Advent soon, but not by running for representative. He'll just take it by force. Battle starts, and he brings a lot of Orcusula Zangs (huge dude + cannon dude together). Again, if Caruleum is with you, he recognizes the machines. He also turns down the output of the A.Advent by 40%, showing that he has some sort of control over it. After the battle ends, Cross runs after him, and thanks to a dimensional radar he and Annina developed, he finally finds Usurper. Usurper goes AGAIN about how he's going to own the A.Advent, and he finally shows his trump card: a giant mech appears out of nowhere, the Yz-Clown. It isn't just for show - he attacks Cross right away and actually defeats him (HP goes to 0). He says he'll leave it at that and that he'll take his spoils later. Back in the A.Advent, Cross and Annina finally come out and say they have some idea who Usurper is, but don't exactly say who. It's not Dr. Tetsuro Yagami, because Usurper said they were "acquainted". Cross just says that they HAVE to defeat the Yz-Clown in their next encounter.
>>23832182-- Falling Objects --Eureka Seven finale.Everyone is concentrating on destroying meteors, which are really taking a toll on your battle readiness. Dewey and Embryo just take Iris and Ange right from under everyone's noses. After you destroy all meteors for now, Dewey uses Iris' power to bring the Ark of Hope to your dimension, hoping to crash it on Earth. You have 5 turns to destroy every enemy around the map before the Ark reaches its terminal phase. Dewey dies cursing the world and Ange escapes Embryo. She bringsthe Nirvash Z with her, saying it was floating around the space between dimensions (when Ange called Vilkiss to save her, it crossed this space). You get a scene of everyone trying to keep Ark from hitting Earth, a la Axis Drop. Magical shenanigans, it disappears. There's a CG of Eureka and Renton together.-- Beyond the Event Horizon --Ideon/Ange finale.Embryo just challenges you to battle in the Hysterica and a ton of mooks. After you defeat the initial Hysterica, Embryo does his cloning act and turns into 10 Embryos.However, something unexpected happens. The Ideon goes berserk! It starts to indiscriminatelyattack everything around it. Embryo didn't account for this, but since the Ideon has been invoked (™), he'll just disappear for a while and come back after the Ideon has destroyed everything.He leaves and you have to fight the Ideon. It only has two weapons: Ideon Sword and Ideon Sword (MAP). Cosmo and Deck have quite a few lines while the Ideon is going berserk. Anyway, once you beat the Ideon, all 10 Embryos come back and you have to defeat them. Beat them, it's over. Ange rejects Embryo and everything happens like in Cross Ange.After the battle, Usurper appears right in the A. Advent's bridge and takes Echika with him. I didn't mention this before, but he doesn't have his full power while inside the ship. So he just grabs Echika and runs away (try to picture that).

The face is actually from someone you've seen quite a few times already: a random civilian inside the A.Advent that was always in the role of an agitator. Kanoto Shijo, 25, single, works as a plumber.No girlfriend.Usurper reveals himself as a Superhuman (same as Echika and Isana). He even has the third eye. It seems he awakened at the same time as Echika did, but he's a natural Superhuman. Anyway, he leaves, battle starts. No girlfriend.He teleports everyone to that space between dimensions, the same one from all the way back inSRW Alpha (that map with the negative colors). He saps your strength, summons30 copies of Yz-Clown and says that, for every 5 you destroy, he's going to use another poweragainst you. He wonders how long it takes for you to break.Each Y Clown only has 26000 HP.5 destroyed: Mobility Down10 destroyed: Sight Down15 destroyed: Armor Down20 destroyed: Energy Down (I'm not sure what this does, they mention "offense", but nothing seemed to happen)25 destroyed: SP Down(cont...)

That's kind of random.Team Meteors say they could go back to their worlds if they just used Iris' powers together with calculations from System Nira-Kana-I, but will stay here for a while instead.Usurper has specific spoken quotes against the DLC characters. The newcomers (Takuto, Haruka, Cosmo/Deck, Eureka) also have quotes against him.
So Part 4 against the Dark Wisdom is pretty much confirmed then.
So the loose plot points are:- Gulliver (cat) is still alive- Exis is still alive, fused to System Nira-Kana-I- Dark Wisdom- who the hell are those androids- what was all that mumbo-jumbo Usurper said at the end ("taiji" for example)- why every machine that comes from other universes has no pilot, even if they should. They actually mention it here very clearly, saying the Buff Clan machines are supposed to be manned.- although Usurper outright says he called Team Meteors here, it seems there's some other will at play here, like with Cyclaminos back in SRW 30

And more importantly Z is where they had flags that would make lines evolve based on story points. Ex: Apollo doesn't start calling Silvia by name instead of some insult nickname until the stage with the event where they actually become friendly to each other. Alpha by contrast had no story seperation for lines. In Alpha Zechs would say "We'll settle this Heero" despite him not having learned Heero's name yet for example.

Forte's a good example of him being able to keep things under control a bit better. She's very much catered toward his tastes, but they're balanced better. She's plenty sexy and has that plumpness to her design that he's known for, but she's also able to come off as energetic, confident, sweet, cool, and even genuinely cute in more equal measure.
