It's hard to say who invented what during the planning process as there are various initial sketches of the proto designs by both artists. It's entirely possible that all three designs were by Ishikawa exclusively and then Nagai did drafts based on that. Maybe it could have been the other way around. Or something in between where they both worked off of each other. No one really knows. But what we do for sure is that Ishikawa did the final revisions which were significantly modified from the prototype designs.
