How come they never mention Mars Zeon in Unicorn?
They weren’t at that point even considered by the federation to be remotely relevant and to them was likely some small group that had had fled to Mars beyond their reach, in other words the federation saw them fleeing to the red planet as giving up, they might have not even known either. The whole story with them was always pretty fascinating to me and FF/Cluster only cemented that
>>238342641.) Because they were too far away. Beyond their joint ventures with the Principality and later Axis, and waves of immigrants from whatever conflict was going on at the time, the red planet was fairly isolated from Earthsphere politics.2.) Because they simply weren't relevant to the story. Same reason why we don't hear about groups like EGUM or New Summer Project.
>>23834264Why in the world would they mention them? They're completely irrelevant to the story.
>>23834264If it’s the guys who eventually did the Oldsmobile thing they’re just retarded guys on mars nobody cared aboutIf it’s Rezeon they wanted to be more isolated and focused on making a nation on mars instead of trying to fight the federation and lose again
>>23834264Because they don't exist in proper lore. That manga is a lolicon shit fest
>>23834264What even are mars zeon?
>>23834264Did Tomino write them? if not then they're not important to Fukui. He's too busy showing off how he's read every obscure Tomino LN in Unicorn.
ReZeon > Mars Zeon.
>>23836068Antagonists from the Gundam F90 manga. Zeon remnants that ran away to Mars, but were secretly plotting vengeance on the Federation, preparing the Olympus Cannon, that can fire huge chunks of the Olympus moon to Earth.
>>23834264crazy how zeon took over a planet
>>23836319Are you that fucking stupid? Tomino novels aren't obscure.
>>23834264Why didn't Side 3 just push to colonize Mars in order to obtain independence from Earth to begin with?
>>23836885Because colonizing a planet at full scale is fucking expensive and risky
>>23836885Colonizing and terraforming is very resource intensive. Zeon wanted resources, which is why they invaded the Earth to mine Odessa (the most resource rich pocket of Earth ever). They should have moved their colonies to the orbit of Mars though, then they could have launched expeditions to mine asteroids in the belt.
>>23836397Is there ANY spacenoid plan that doesn't involve orbital bombardment?>What if we dropped a colony on the feds?>What if we dropped a colony on the fed's food?>What if we dropped a colony on the feds, again?>What if we dropped an asteroid (with a colony inside it) on the feds?>What if we dropped a moon (presumably with a colony inside it) on the feds?I swear Zeon Zum was right humans are changing in space, but it's not for the better. The Titans were right, gas them all. TSD
Why do Axis,Neo Zeon & Sleeves ignored them? Do Mars Zeon even care about Zeon in general?
>>23837049there's no real-time earth-mars communication since it's not like there are relay satellites and space stations in between the two planets, so communicating and coordinating stuff is hard. it takes 3 months to travel between Axis and Earth, so assume a similar but longer time for Mars.even then in expanded lore (mostly AoZ Reboot) you have some Mars Zeon fleet travelling to Earth in UC0088 to assist Neo Zeon. but when Haman and Glemy start a civil war, the Mars group says "oh fuck no" and leave not long after arriving, so they don't do much fighting, but at least they managed to gather Neo Zeon MS tech to bring home.
>>23836890>>23836987But the Jupiter Fleets exist at this time doesn't it? If Humans can reach all the way out to Jupiter and basically be a fleet-borne organization than setting up industrial outposts on Mars should be a fucking breeze. It's not like Mars wouldn't have shit like iron, copper, etc.
>>23837074Jupiter Fleet goes to Jupiter because that's the only place they can extract Helium-3, they don't have any other choice. Mars should have mineral deposits like the Earth, but no one will bother going there unless other sources are completely exhausted for resources since Earth is way closer and takes less time and effort to mine and transport resources since the infrastructure is already there. To mine resources on Mars, you need to send a fleet there, drop people and machines and resources to build a living habitat, mining industry, then survey the land, start mining stuff, then process the raw material. Then you need an entire space program to develop a way to launch those resources back to Side 3.At least when Zeon invaded Earth and mined the fuck out of Odessa, they could reuse the EF spaceports and factories on Earth to build and launch rockets, and they had all the infrastructure of roads, air transports, etc they could use. If starting EVERYTHING from scratch on Mars, how many years will it be from first explorers landing on Mars to finally receiving a shipment of usable materials? it's really just quicker and easier in terms of cost and effort to do asteroid mining, which they already do in UC. They can capture an asteroid, send it back home, then spend years mining it with minimal transport and logistics cost since it's literally next door to your colony. Then at the end you have a hollowed out asteroid you can use as a naturally hardened military fortress, or fling toward Earth when the earthies get uppity.
>>23837074Unfortunately, Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids. In fact, it's cold as hell.
>>23834763Huh and here I thought Crossbone was the only lolicon shit fest Gundam manga out there.
