Why aren't there more mass production Quasi-Psycommu mobile suits?

They’re expensive, most pilots can’t use them, the R&D takes forever, and manufacturing requires specific materials and people. This isn’t like Gihren’s Greed where you can just make 8 Qubeleys ahd steamroll because the materials are generic interchangeable crap.I don’t know late UC that well but there simply aren’t really that many pilots even capable of using psycommus or quasi-psycommus effectively. They’re also worse than full psycommus in terms of maneuverability.Better to just mass produce the Big Zam.

The bio-computer is never used to control remote weapons, it's more of a general-purpose interface for mobile suits to bridge the pilot's mind to the mobile suit's body like an extension of the human body, it originally came around from research into medical prosthetics.The Rafflesia has something called the neo psycommu which is when Iron Mask's head is wired into the Rafflesia cockpit to control the tentacle weapons, so functionally it achieves the same result of allowing oldtypes to manage way more weapons than normal, including wired remote weapons.

>>23840335The half-control system is a computer guided weapons system. The only thing stopping remote drones in the first place is minovsky interference. If you have a cable, you could absolutely have computer controlled drones. Keep in mind the OG Gundam was already capable of partially acting on its own and then you have straight up sentient MS like ALICE, who could control the INCOMs. And it's kinda obvious that bits and funnels already have computer systems in them to handle the finer things like aiming and correction. We see the Kshatriya's funnels try to correct their attitude in the colony's atmosphere to fire. That's obviously not Marida making those adjustments. The newtype is just coordinating them and giving them orders. It's the same as AI today.
