Alright lads how are we going to comport ourselves so Axis doesn’t have a monopoly on “we are simply enlightened despots bringing order to a lawless world”?

As far as the public and most people outside our immediate circle are concerned, Axis is not clearly related to AEUG, so they seem pretty squeaky clean apart from being a weird freak show if you actually get inside the throne room.

Meanwhile, for better or for worse, we’re still associated with Unlimited Genocide on The Moon due to Jerid and his enforcers turning the occupied zones of the moon into a police state. And the work culture where the women need to carry knives to walk around safely and occasionally break each other’s necks by accident leaves something to be desired.

I’m not sure what our alignment score looks like but it’s probably not great. How are we gonna collect non Titans jobber-grade allies without them running away screaming for the loving embrace of Mineva?
>>
>>23839934
Thanks for running this thing Copy. These threads are really entertaining
>>
>>23840106
I think its simple we work with Axis in stopping Bask and keeping the sides safe, piggybacking off their enlightened good guys trying to keep things safe from the raving maniac Bask seems like a good short-term idea. Lets us draw in everyone who isn't a Zeek who hates to see Bask burn the world and gives us a chance to have Axis grace us with a few pilots we can indocturnate to our cause over theirs like we did with Sarah. Once Axis reveals its hand as an actually evil entity with disavow them and keep working towards their public and our real goal of bringing order to the earth sphere so that the strong can bring about a better world.
>>
>>23840146
We voted against allying with Axis so I’m not sure that’s on the table.
>>
>>23840106
I do really hope if nothing else us consolidating here allows us to instill some goddamned discipline in our ranks before setting off to fight the world.

We also really need to have a vision for the future that isn't simply not being the Federation or Zeon or AEUG or the Titans or Axis. Like what's our angle if we're not just the Titans of a different uniform? Jerid at least has been steered into some manner of ideology of spacenoid abolition, so that's something.

Not doing war crimes every week is typically enough to bring the right people towards us, pilot-wise. I don't think we're gonna see a mass exodus of order aligned feds flock to Axis as long as we can make an even halfway good case for ourselves.

>>23840146
>>23840190
Yeah I'm not so sure that'll happen unless they're literally being supplied by Haman to help lay the groundwork for her trying to overthrow our org once we take out Axis
>>
>>23840190
Kamille did suggest to Jerid to pretend to play ball with Axis while they're building their forces, so pretending to work with them while we bring down Bask still seems to be on the table. On the other hand, Haman knows we're just pretending, so it could go either way, really. Still, we may have some breathing room to build some muscle before dealing with Axis.

>>23840106
I'd say it depends. I assume we're somewhere in the middle, maybe a little closer to law than chaos. We did some ruthless shit in the run, but we've been rather pragmatic in our fights and we haven't done outright heinous shit for no good reason. Then again, Jerid's chimpouts and the company he's got with him might just cancel out whatever goodwill Kamille has going for him.
>>
>>23840223
The way I see it we do have a list of priorities in order, namely:
>Find an ideological niche that Axis or Scirocco cannot insinuate themselves into.
Scirocco has damaged his case with the Colony Laser though I’m not sure how much plausible deniability he has. Axis the main weak point is that they are backing AEUG. The problem is proving that.
>Tardwrangle Jerid and his loyalists
Jerid believes in basically nothing but obtaining power. He’s at least become about 12-18% less racist to Spacenoids but his main concern is just ruling over humanity as far as I can tell. This is not exactly a winning pitch compared to Mineva’s “we’d like the war crimes to stop please” stance. Even though he hasn’t done anything super crazy lately, he’s still leveling cities and presumably nothing has changed on the occupation tactics where people’s whole families are getting killed for suspected Zeek sympathies. His subordinates are mostly desperate amateurs given hollow promises of vagaries like glory or status seekers trying to find an easy ticket into the Titans, and they’re basically scum. Discipline needs to be instilled. Examples must be made.
>Find allies that aren’t worthless and aren’t going to fuck us over
While I’m not terribly impressed by what the Titans have, Axis has Haman, the Ples, Mashymre, Chara, Glemy’s gang, Amuro, and most worryingly, Quess, as well as likely being ahead in tech. If we play our cards wrong, they also get Judau, most likely. We need to win some new friends that don’t think we’re opportunistic scumfucks mad at our boss.
>Be nicer to Fa
Worried she’s going to defect, to be honest. Also she really deserves to be treated better. I don’t want a repeat of Sidle where one of our allies effectively murdered her and there were zero consequences. I didn’t care for Sidle but that’s really fucked up.
>Watch out for whatever bullshit Char is going to pull
Do I even need to say this?
>>
>>23840253
Since Copy X has stated,
>[My notes for influence got a little screwed up, so it will be partially retired for the next phase of the game. Having said that, it will have a very tangible effect for everything that was collected/lost when the next part starts up]
I wonder if the ship has sailed for being nice to Fa. It's a worry.
>>
>>23840223
>>23840253
as far as spacenoids are concerned I think Jerid's stance is fair
>Jerid transmission: To those who call themselves Spacenoids, there will be no white flags or negotiations! No concessions to the Senate or the weak who have appeased you for far to long!! Your diseased ideology will die by the hand of those who carry the true will of the Titans!!
>Yazan: Hmhmhm...well, isn't this fun?
>Jerid transmission: To those who still consider themselves citizens of the Earth, stand aside and witness, or stand strong and earn your place in the future! To those who have abandoned their very humanity as Zeon did, step forward and die now, or escape to be trampled by the future! Our advance will only end once every last one of your kind is eradicated!!

People who tend to treat themselves as spacenoids are the ones who tend to be leaning Zeon, keep in mind that those same people don't see 'spacenoid' as anything besides people who support side 3's ideals, I dont think you'll see Jerid rounding people up, he did that because it was literally AEUG's headquarters.

As for his men, they are not only mercs looking for glory, they're also people hurt and damaged by AEUG, even before their homes blew up, do not forget that AEUG was mass killing people at Ayer and was terrorizing Von Braun, this emboldens people to be harsher towards other
Once and if we start getting other volunteers you'd likely have people who are opposed to Zeon and opposed to Bask but aren't exactly people who survived a attempt at genocide
>>
>>23840253
>I don’t want a repeat of Sidle where one of our allies effectively murdered her and there were zero consequences. I didn’t care for Sidle but that’s really fucked up.
You need to be realistic, for anyone who looks at that story unbiased you'd have to consider that Sydle was trying to kill her commanding officer because of feelings for Scirocco, she was being subdued and died in the struggle(ironically because of Scirocco), she already didn't earn herself any points by doing things like stealing the Zeta or never socializing with the others so it is no wonder why nobody else cares.

Fa has Leila right now who she won't abandon, Leila is still into Kamille currently once she realized the ghosts won't come back to her
>>
>>23840544
>People who tend to treat themselves as spacenoids are the ones who tend to be leaning Zeon, keep in mind that those same people don't see 'spacenoid' as anything besides people who support side 3's ideals
This hews a bit close to persecuting people for thoughtcrimes, namely either sympathizing with Zeonism (which is not exactly unreasonable considering the way the Feddies treat people in space both before OYW and in the interbellum) or having developed an ethnic identity (which isn’t just a Zeon separatist thing; the Titans themselves have basically started throwing the label around as a slur, so they too have created this framework of Earthnoid v Spacenoid). There’s probably a lot of ordinary people who identify as a Spacenoid out there that aren’t necessarily baying for a Great Cleansing of the earth. That number is only going to increase when Haman shows up properly and actually starts advocating for Spacenoid rights through Mineva. I don’t think it’s exactly reasonable to announce you’re going to give no quarter to these people. It also emboldens any actual people identifying with a military cause for Spacenoids because now that Jerid has said “yeah we’ll slaughter you even if you surrender”, they’ll fight to the last man because conceding or joining us is not an option. It’s actually really fucking dumb.

>they're also people hurt and damaged by AEUG
The cycle of violence has to stop with someone. Our main grunt body is driven either by the desire to bully people or to get back at them. If we just let them indulge their feelings they’re not going to stop until the Earth sphere is ashes. We don’t have any people interested in building anything. They need discipline and a cause that isn’t just personal grudges otherwise we’re no better than Char, Haman, or Bask (whose main driving motivation is because he was tortured in a Zeek POW camp). This kind of thinking is how we get more chimpouts.
>>
>>23840545
Sidle actually reminds me of Seth's DnD video talking about the edgelord archtype of how yeah she basically didn't bother trying to mingle with anyone or obey orders, I can't really feel sorry for her because she more or less showed at every chance she didn't want to play ball and the one time i decided to hear her out, it turns out if that won she would've tried to kill Kamille.
We didn't even mistreat her leading up to that really compared to Fa, it just shows how dangerous syrupman really is.
>>
>>23840985
Honestly thinking back on it I can’t think of actual normal people in colonies who use “spacenoid” as a identity, judau and friends didn’t do it, banagher and his friends don’t, Kamille didn’t neither did Fa etc. people who outwardly uses these terms are on the extreme of either side, it doesn’t concern the regular masses
I do think people aren’t going to be drinking Zeon kool aid when they see Kamille’s army defending the colonies from bask

Like I said you can’t convince whats there in regards to AEUG and we will get more volunteers for the moment that can influence the masses on their own
>>
>>23841019
Beecha and Mondo called themselves Spacenoids. Keith and Kou used the term neutrally too, though in 0083 the real slur was Lunarian.
>>
>>23841098
Ironically Beecha and Mondo ate up Neo Zeon propaganda so I’m not shocked to be wrong there
>>
>>23841019
I’m just saying if you live under a regime that is basically trying to create apartheid and constantly calls you Spacenoid to exclude you from “Earthnoids” or the concept of earth citizenship, you might start identifying with that label.
>>
>>23841112
I agree the division is artificial and the label should be abolished. I just think running around screaming that anyone that uses it is considered the enemy of mankind and will die a painful death is retarded. I’m not sure when or why we decided Jerid is our PR guy because the blood and soil shit is probably going to bite us in the ass.
>>
>>23841201
Has Jerid ever called himself or anyone a Earthnoid before? Sure Kamille called Jerid one at the start of the run. But I don't remember a single time when Jerid has called Earthnoids superior to Spacenoids or anything. Mostly he's just been referring to humanity
>>
>>23841201
>>23841215
This is why we should go and secure the colonies and protect them before axis does, if we can at least try our PR will be through the roof protectors of the people.
>>
>>23841247
I’d have to go back and reread but I’m pretty certain he’s complained about Spacenoids in the early game at least. In canon and in Define (which I’m pretty sure Copy has read given how Sarah is characterized here) he’s also pretty racist against Spacenoids.

Given his “we will kill literally anyone that identifies as or fights for the cause of Spacenoids” rhetoric, generally jackbooted approach to peacekeeping, and the rhetoric you hear from his random grunts, I’m having a hard time believing that we might not have to tardwrangle him.

Even the speech here >>23840544
can just as easily be interpreted as a “we’re gonna kill every last Spacenoid” kind of speech, even if the intent is more trying to get people to stop talking about space/earth paradigms. He’s not exactly a gifted speaker. Why is this dude our mouthpiece besides the fact he’s incapable of shutting the fuck up? Shouldn’t we have like Sarah in charge of this sort of thing?
>>
>>23841288
Speaking of Define I wish I could go back and unread CDA.
>>
>>23841288
Maybe Syrupman is right and we need to have a mommyocracy if we’re going to win over the people with our public persona.
>>
>>23841293
Well then we should have sided with Axis.
>>
>>23841249
I agree this would be a good move, but only if our “protection” takes a more humane form than our moon takeover. We can’t discover there’s an Axis or Titans cell in a Side 2 colony and then burn the entire colony to the ground trying to get at them. And anyone who does that shit needs to be made an example of.
>>
>>23839886
Fa isnt allowed to be happy in the CopyX runs, I guess. Either kamille or her die in gruesome ways or they get separated and miserable.

I just want to see them happy, is that too much to ask?
>>
>>23841355
I just want to see Amuro and Haman fuck.
>>
>>23841355
Can’t speak to prior runs involving Fa misery but this one was pretty much entirely /m/'s fault for telling her to just fucking put up with Jerid’s nonsense while we went on an adventure with another girl to steal a Gundam. Granted I thought the choice was misleading and had /m/ known that kicking the can down the road was also going to result in us beating her for no fucking reason they probably wouldn’t have voted for it. I hate compromise votes as much as the next guy but having Kamille strike her for daring to ask for salvation felt needlessly cruel and overly melodramatic given the wording of the choice.
>>
>>23841395
I would’ve still voted for it, I’m not going to derail Kamille’s revenge story over something like that.
All Kamille asked for is time to take care of something, she pushed and insulted his crew and he retaliated like he always does when people insult his friends
>>
>>23841395
I'm glad for once we didn't stop doing what we were doing because a character we're attached to from the show is sad despite not having that same emotional relevance to our player character
>>
>>23841459
Rapemuro and Grey AEUG Char making me shake my head at remembering when we've done that before.

>>23841408
It also would've helped if Fa didn't assume the worst in her freak down, granted I can't blame her, but she hasn't been the most sympathetic herself, at the very least she seems to be getting along with the program and befriending Lelia.

I dont want Rapemuro. I want Amuro to settle down and be a family man and be the man Char couldn't.
>>
>>23841395
I would've liked to get some more rap with Fa, but every time we could've smoothed things over with her, it would've gotten in the way with really important shit that needed to be done. If she does turn traitor in the next stage then it'll be pretty sad, but if that's a consequence of us doing what had to be done, then so be it.
>>
>>23841459
I think it was a fine vote, personally, I just don’t like how hard the knife got twisted. He didn’t need to hit her and nobody really voted for that.
>>
>>23841722
We trusted her with the mega launcher at least, she claimed to want that (then went woe is me, I killed a bunch of people).

The Space Fortress Zedan. Once known as A.Baoa.Qu, the mightiest defense line of the Principality of Zeon in the final day of the One Year War, it now stands as the Titans central base of operations for intercepting rebelling Colonies. Even in its partially diminished state, the Titans battle strength easily eclipses what remaining strength the AEUG has left to fight with. Despite that however, its garrisoned troops are faced with a new terror. A new nightmare for the younger soldiers, and a horrifying repeat of the "Ghost of Solomon" crisis that had haunted Konpei Island for the veterans now serving with the Titans...

>Hizack pilot 1: Why are there so many of them?! Why didn't reconnaissance report them?!
>Hizack pilot 2: I just Fegglers signal! T-the O'Bannon has also been taken out!
>Hizack pilot 3: It's finally returned. The Ghost of Solomon...I can hear its cry. It was so gentle before, but now...it is enraged. It will kill us all-
>Hizack pilot 4: Aaah!! They are breaching! Merciful lord, save me from-

Within seconds, the Hizack is burned away by multiple beams. The miasma of the Mobile Suit sized shadows floods into the ruined loading dock, swarming around the cornered Titans squadron. As two of the Hizacks are descended upon, the third machine tosses its heat hawk in desperation, clipping something within the shadows. A child-like scream partially deafens the pilot, leaving him stunned as over a dozen shadowy projections form a ring around the defenseless Hizack.

>Hizack pilot 3: A childs voice? Just...what are you? Why do you continue to torment me, even now?!

The Hizack's cockpit cover is burned away, with one of the shadows reaching into the pilots cockpit, enveloping him in the emanating black light. On the exterior of the fortress, Alpha pulls Chap from his ruined Marasai, pulling him into an escaping life boat evacuating from Zedan.

>Alpha: Get out of here! Head for the Moon!
>Chap: Its...over.

>Adol: How...?! How could Zedan have...fallen like this...?! Commodore Gable...please...! Where are you...?!

Adol's ruined GM Quel floats amongst the shoal field of his fallen comrades, with the invading Mobile Suit-sized shadows all beginning to amass above the now silent Space Fortress, forming around a craft disguised as a large asteroid. Reaching out towards the craft, Adol feels his bodies functions ceasing as he goes limp. Observing the remaining escape craft departing for the Moon, Haman releases a mocking a cackle, while the now massed horde of hundreds of shadows all begin to open fire on the debris fields around Zedan, reducing everything except for the escaping lifeboat craft to stardust.

[Adol Zeno has died]

>Haman: (Go on...run. Run to your stables, like the obedient cattle you are. Become the slop that will feed our kind.)

[Zedan has been rendered neutral. Over 90 Mobile Suits and 6 ships have been completely annihilated]

>Jerid: So...the famed vault of Anaheim.

Standing before a gargantuan, Luna-Titanium reinforced containment door, Kamille and Jerid watch as the final safeguards for the vast archive of Anaheim's designs and riches is on the verge of being theirs.

>Von Braun Volunteer: Boss, those Anaheim rats are still screaming about the Antarctic Treaty. Want me and boys to shut the loudest ones up permanently?
>Kamille: Don't you dare lay a hand on them! We could still use them to help with repairs on-
>Von Braun Volunteer: Speak when spoken to, Sissy-

Jerid roughly thrusts the rugged man to the ground, pressing his boot against his head.

>Jerid: You're letting the power get to your head. How about we deflate it a bit, huh?
>Von Braun Volunteer: J-Jerid! Stop!
>Jerid: Apologize.
>Von Braun Volunteer: S-sorry-

Unable to contain his frustrations with the help enlisted by Jerid, Kamille swings his leg into his insulters back.

>Kamille: Call me a Sissy again. See what happens. Ngh...just get out of here!

As the Volunteer stumbles to his feet to leave, Jerid lets out a small scoff.

>Jerid:...We have to make an example out of some of those Anaheim guys. Their Executives ran for it, but the public needs something.
>Kamille: Most of these people are just Technicians and Engineers. What would it prove to harm them? Just a way to appease those idiots you picked up from Von Braun?
>Jerid: You didn't see how things were when I found them. No offense man, but you couldn't understand why they need this.
>Kamille: Jerid-
>???: You little shit! Mock my work, hah?!

From behind Kamille and Jerid, a short, balding and hunched man lumbers towards the two, with a bag slung over his shoulder.

>Titan Officer: Apologies sirs, but he is from the Gryps 2 Technical Department. Ballatro Barzini-
>Ballatro: No talent! You have the gall to look at my design, and to call it garbage?! You have no vision, no talent, and yet I have to compromise perfection to appease "you"?!

>>23843334
I mean like this feels like a no brainer? We need to appease the idiots from Van Braun by killing some AE assholes and Ballatro here is also asking us to kill some specific AE assholes who are already low loyalty folks who jumped ship a while ago and will probably jump ship to Axis too in exchange for Ballatro and his crew working for us instead.

This feels like a win win unless you think Mr. Barzini is going to fuck us over.
>>
>>23843356
Too many of the leeches that want to attach themselves onto Jerid would enjoy being in bask's titans if they weren't spacenoids.
>>
>>23843334

While we've been on the war path, given we've cut ties with the Titans and are in need with good will with the people of Granada, I think we should start dialing it back on the heavy-handed punishments. We don't even know this guy and he already has a chip on the shoulder given how Kamille picked apart the original Barzam.

>>23843334
I really feel like we need to start making some friends here and disciplining our ranks and emboldening the chuds Jerid’s been recruiting with more pointless bloodshed isn’t conducive to that.

>[Adol Zeno has died]

So I’ve been meaning to ask, how does death work in GG? Can pilots die if they get shot down too many times or are pilot deaths largely tied to scripted events and Copy’s just modding pilots out once they did in the quest?
>>
>>23843376
the latter combined with characters having to make a endurance save on a d20(based on their stat) to survive if they get shot down without plot armor.

they die to events, in shin they can die in battle but thats still scripted stuff for certain scenarios

>>
>>23843334

Now, we need newer and better ms for our grunts
The choice is both at hand is both moral and preference-based (?) either AE engineers, their designs and dialing back the brutality or Gryps engineers, their revised designs (lmao) and punishing any turncoats with an iron fist
That bridge is long burned and it sets a dangerous precedent, but i do want those damned bardams after waiting so damn long for them, even if they're filled with BOMBS
>>
>>23843334
Pretty standard Law/Chaos choice I think. So it depends which way we want to lean. Forgiving them probably nudges us towards Law which makes it easier to recruit a lot of aces. Punishing them probably gives a short-term benefit to productivity in some way Copy will decide. I don't think it's a major decision either way.
>>
>>23843334
This is a bit of a tough choice out of the gate since on one hand, yeah, we gotta clamp down on the bloodlust these fuckers have. Making an example of these engineers doesn't help anyone and only serves to tide them over to the next lynching as well as show we're not much better than the Titans. These guys need to be molded into an actual, disciplined military unit and failing that, spent to make room for new stock. On the other hand, sparing them will almost certainly come back to bite us, as the environment these guys will have to work in if we allow them to continue here will almost certainly guarantee their defection, but such is the consequence of a moral choice.
The only reason I would take this is if our Bardam project depends on it. I'm not sure about this Ballatro dude, either. How do we know he won't sell us out and is just using us to consolidate knowledge of our data to himself to pump up his own prospects for when he tries jumping ship?

There’s so little advantage over this “treason” mentality, we’re literally traitors to the Titans also. Lynching them creates more problems than it solves. Mercy has virtues when you’re establishing a new state. The cycle of bloodshed in the new Olympus territories stops immediately, those who break the peace are punished, those who betray their new oaths are punished, those who harm the new state are punished. The new state has to act as if it’s been created now, and all old bets are off. The old response to old behavior ends.

Why is it Jerid recruited every retarded Chud from Avon Brain and not a single grounded and rational person? Every single one of these guys have been the same as the guys that kicked the shit out of Kou in 0083.

This is a Titan's run anon, they are bad guys

Dudes who join up with violent militias typically aren't terribly rational or grounded, a surprise to some I'm sure.

I think /m/‘s getting tired of tardwrangling our allies, personally. The quest has been trying to get somebody to fall in line for pretty long stretches, be that Leila (where people were expecting typical cyber Newtype shenanigans and instead got an edgelord mommy gf possessed by literal fucking evil spirits that the thread had effectively no real means to manage, even when they attempted to discipline her) until she got the factory reset through frankly sort of contrived bullshit, or Jerid, who has routinely stepped on our toes through his tactics, general ease of distraction, and flooding our grunts with losers trying to leech off of us that the thread has been giving little to no opportunity to get under control up to this point.

I know this is a Titans run but I am tired of the false dichotomy we have of “do something important we need to do but it makes a significant npc do the dumbest possible thing” or “run a stable militia but you have to fight with one hand behind your back the entire time”. I get the law/chaos dichotomy sorta works like this in GG but assuming Jerid hasn’t tanked our alignment with his bullshit we should be at the part of the game where lawmaxxing’s long term dividends start paying off by now.

I just don’t want a repeat of that Zabi family run where somehow every single one of our subordinates made decisions about doing colony drops or assassination attempts right under our noses, out of loyalty to us, and somehow the supreme dictator of Zeon wasn’t at least AWARE of any of it. It was fucking comical when it got to the point where our fucking intelligence agency apparently got disbanded and nobody told us? I just don’t want a rerun of that because either Copy doesn’t give us enough tools to tardwrangle or /m/ is really bad at it, which is why I have personally been pushing REALLY hard to preemptively deal with characters that seem like they’re gonna do stupid shit constantly.

I really think you're exaggerating how bad these really were.
Leila(spirits) was pretty manageable, probably because ultimately the actions she took helped us for the most part since they were obsessed, the problem lies when we tried to course correct from what we initially told said spirits but it was never a problem when we needed it.

Jerid again, has been pretty manageable, if it weren't for his call to arms we wouldn't have even been able to take the moon, yes the troops aren't the best but it was all we could muster and they did the job.
You can't be mad at Jerid for not listening to the kid who abandoned everything and even once we fought he's done nothing but listen to and respect Kamille.

I mean that was just... excusing the games events happening the way they do.
>>
>>23844603
You're overexaggerating. We've been ride or die with bro Jerid ever since reuniting, but there's been a noisy minority of antis trying to go against what we've been trying to do this run, namely follow Lila's dying wish of Kamille and Jerid working together against the menace of Amuro and Axis.
>>
>>23844280
I wonder if recruiting more lawful allies will help whip Olympus into shape? Last thing the organization needs is its own God and Goddess shenanigans making everyone hate each other.
>>
>>23846114
If they're actually given the authority and legitimacy to do so, I can only hope, but historically that hasn't really been the case. But then again, we haven't exactly had many situations like this.

Unrelated, but what's our policy gonna be on members of other factions? Ex-feds and more reasonable Titans are definitely at the top, almost no questions asked. But what about AEUG and Zeon? Prison? Execution? Release? Penal unit? I don't think any AEUG guys are gonna wanna run with us unless they just did not get to see any action whatsoever and are more likely to shack up with Axis or Amuro later. Ironically we'd probably have a better chance pulling disaffected zeeks that missed the AEUG train and are icked by Axis (to which extent they exist) once we actually make a name for ourselves as being more than a petty Titans splinter warlord.
>>
>>23846150

Unironically, we could probably pull people like Sayla, Kai, Mirai (if she escapes Scirocco and Axis), Doan and Bel. None of them have any love for the Titans or Axis and the Olympians are probably their best alternative at this point since Amuro hasn't done himself any favors.

Former zeeks seems unlikely at this stage and there's not that many I can see joining up. Former AEUG mostly boils down to Henken and the Anaheim ZZ guys like Emary, Milly and Madchar. Maybe Roux if we can really refurbish our image going forward into a 'Firm but fair' angle.
>>
>>23846150
Are you really thinking we’re gonna let Drake hold position over literally anyone else? If the white dingos join up for example they’d absolutely have the authority to whip people into shape, jerid doesn’t hate those soldier types
>>
>>23846261
Can't afford to bring in Henken, a personal friend of Blex Forer. Let Jerid quench his bloodlust on guys like him or Astonaige while we rebuild Anaheim under our banner.
As for Roux, it depends on how quickly we can beat Glemy, but given she's in Side 3, we might as well consider her a write-off.
>>
>>23846655

I only say Henken because he's the only one on hand and has good stats. MAYBE Fa could convince him but it would be a tough sell regardless. There's not too many living captains these days that aren't in Zeon or got killed against the Titans or are willing to join the Olympians. Maybe the Bosnia's captain (unless he died offscreen) or like, Kowen or something but I imagine a lot of the Fed aligned ones will get roped into whatever Amuro is cooking.
>>
>>23846261
>Henken
We killed Emma we ain't getting her lover.

>Kamille:...You are absolutely ridiculous.
>Ballatro: What?
>Kamille: So if we don't help satisfy your own personal vendetta, you'd just step away from helping? Are you actually that petty?
>Ballatro: Ignorant child...! You there-
>Kamille: You may as well just save your breath. We aren't going to feed into some spectacle! One way or another, the men you spoke of will answer for what they did, but not until they have been proven guilty.
>Jerid: Hm...alright, if you are that intent on using them-
>Ballatro: What are you doing?! Moronic! Stupid! If neither of you lack the spine to do what needs to be done, I-
>Jerid: The only reason I haven't beaten you half to death is out of pity. You've got some balls talking to us like that...you want to try backing that up?

Despite his blind and rabid rage, Ballatro forces himself to step back as he detects Jerid and Kamille's intent to retaliate against him should he continue. Stepping away from the two in shame, Ballatro privately contacts his engineers in the orbit of Granada to modify their orders.

>Ballatro: Talentless hacks! As if I would let them dirty my work with their-
>Drake: A moment of your time.
>Ballatro: Huh? Who the hell are you?
>Drake: Something rotten has been brewing here. Lets talk.

[Titans (Bask) may now produce the Bardam. 9 Bardams have spawned at Pezun. Schematics for the Bardam are being withheld from Olympia]

With Ballatro forced out from the final containment door of Anaheim's vault, Jerid has a short moment of clarity as he contemplates the volunteers under his commands lack of structure.

>Jerid: I'll get them under control. Was so focused on taking this place, I never properly broke most of them in.
>Kamille: Don't try to over-correct them-
>Jerid: Hey, they reflect on me. I earned my place in the Titans through blood and sweat. I'll make sure they do the same.
>Kamille: We won't have much time until the Titans realize what is going on here. Are you sure you can-
>>
>>23846807
I thought this might happen but honestly between Bardams and literally getting the rest of AEUG's tech tree I'm going for AEUG tech
>>
>>23846807
There go our inbred Mk II babies. They will be missed.
>>
>>23846807
Well as expected there goes our potential wonder weapon without a special super grunt how the hell are we expecting to push out from a single factory again?
>>
>>23846833

As a ballpark, I expect the Bardam would've been comparable to like, the Nero in the AEUG tree. So really we're just exchanging one for the other (and honestly the Nero might straight up be more affordable). Also if we're running the AEUG tree, we may be able to restart the Zeta program. At least to bring out the Plus line and RE-GZ eventually.
>>
>>23846807
Jerid reflecting on his goons being overeager dipshits seems like a good outcome.
>>
>>23846835
A custom REGZ with a proper transformation system with the fire power of the BWS would be cool.
>>
>>23846836
I like this outcome as well. Will Kamille and Jerid manage a mob or an army? Or worse yet, a Dune-style jihad? I'd certainly prefer an army.
>>
>>23846835
How the hell are we going to get there though? We don't have the Nero we aren't anywhere near that or being able to create anything in the Zeta program not with our nonexistent war chest. We need something powerful now unless we're going to be Kissing Axis' ring for a long time.
>>
>>23846807
Good riddence, Barzams/Bardams are fucking ugly and goofy looking
>>
>>23846842

We are literally opening the Anaheim vault of whatever tech doodads and resources they've got locked up. As this run will be using a combined AEUG-Titans tree, I expect us to pick up the Nemo II, Nemo III, Guncannon Detector (do these work in space?) and Nero in the near future with the Hyaku Shiki line pulling up the rear for aces (though it's honestly a bit dated now). The Nemo III in particular is a perfectly fine suit to put out en masse and is great, affordable support.

I get things are dire but it's fine to not pearl clutch for a bit just because we gave up the Bardams for something else down the line (And as good as they would've been, they're still obscenely expensive).
>>
>>23846845
Take that back, fucker.
>>
>>23846851
We saw the Anaheim execs run off to Axis with a treasure fleet. Jerid and Kamille don't know that, but we do and due to that I'm expecting the pickings in the vault to be sparce at best.
>>
>>23846851
>Guncannon Detector
They do and they are very nice.

>>23846858
they left behind their engineers and techs, those guys are the ones who will be giving us tech, not the execs

>Jerid: Space born or not, i've worked with lugs like them back on Earth.
>Kamille: During your time training to join the Titans?
>Jerid: Nah, Rugby practice. I can break em in-
>Titan Technical Officer: Sirs, the final security lock is being released! Please step back!

The immense vault begins to unseal, its pressurized locks fully retracting as a hiss of compressed air spews out. As the entryway to the archive of Anaheim's hidden away projects and resources holdings is unlocked, Kamille and Jerid find themselves baffled at the sight before them. Dozens of incomplete, abandoned Mobile Suit frames, along with signs of many of the databanks and generators powering backup systems completely destroyed.

>Jerid:...Sons of bitches torched it before we got here! They trashed all of it!
>Kamille: Even their data archives have been completely destroyed-wait! Not everything was ruined!

Combing through the functional data systems in the vault, Kamille smacks his hand against their command panels upon realizing what they are designed for.

>Kamille: These must have been used for secondary back-ups, but the whole system is completely encrypted! Damn it, how much did they destroy before we got here?
>Jerid: Can we get anything out of them?
>Kamille: I can't say for certain. Whatever is on these secondary systems, its going to take me weeks to just-
>Jerid: Nah, not weeks. This is getting done, right here and now!

Within the artifical garden on the lower levels of Anaheim's Headquarters, numerous engineers, technicians and testing staff are bound and held by Jerid's loyalist.

>Jerid Loyalist 1: Some of you must be hungry! Its been a real long day of all of you! First person to tell me which ones amongst ya were cheering the AEUG on as they burned apartment to the ground gets a chocolate bar!
>Jerid Loyalist 2: Heya-heya, red head! You obviously don't belong down here...how about you help us out, and we get you home all nice and fast-like, yeah?

Space him. He's not very good and even in-universe, he's been a toady the moment we met him. The wiki makes it out that Tosh and Brave considered him a traitor without any real evidence (pure vibes) but if the current run is even passingly similar, I definitely get why.

Drake is pretty much the one ride or die Black Devil (and I use that title loosely here) that is 100% still on the side of the original Titans and it was going to be a matter of time before he betrayed us.
>>
>>23846863
We don't have the money to fund the entire Zeta project to get suits that actually matter; to get something on par with the Xeku that's already in production we'd need to do the entire Zeta project tree to get the GCD or Methus Kai we don't have the money to fund that shit. We're going to be stuck fighting with shit on par with the base Barzam at best like the Nero or if we're lucky the Schuzrum Dias/Rick Dias Kai if we can get those soon based on what the AEUG had left when we destroyed them. We're fucked if any faction wants to knock on our door and kick our shins in for a good long time.

>Jerid Loyalist 2: Of course a cutie like you would have been kept in the dark about all of that. We couldn't even go outside with snipers taking pot shots at us! The lucky ones got nicked in the head and were done! Some of the others they caught and dragged off...oh man, they were in so many pieces-
>Jerid Loyalist 3: Keep back from that one! She's a contractor for Anaheim! No different from those termites in Von Braun!
>Jerid: Any of you who know about this places computers, get over here! If I find out any of you didn't step forward, we have far smaller, less accommodating places you'll be spending time in!
>Anaheim Technician 1: This is insanity! We are protected under the Antarctic Treaty! You can't just-
>Anaheim Technician 2: You all cracked your way into the vault, didn't you? Did you see if station number Alpha-5188 was still running?
>Jerid: You think I know what that means? There are some terminals that were not smashed to hell, and I expect you people to get something out of them!

Over thirty men immediately stand, with four others being forced to their feet by their colleges to assist with clearing the encryption on the remaining terminals that had been sealed within the vault. Along with these men, Christina Mackenzie also volunteers to assist, curious to see the final fate of the Mobile Suit she had been assisting in the testing of.

>Anaheim Technician 2: Praise you, father! You have a new believer!
>Jerid: The hell you on about?
>Anaheim Technician 2: New employees think just smashing the main terminal and their immediate backups would wipe out all of their contents. We were not just going to let them wipe all of our work-
>Anaheim Technician 3: We want assurances of our safety.
>Jerid: You get me some results, and i'll consider it. Now get me some results, will...hey, you! What are you doing over there?
>>
>>23846907

Christina stares upon the deconstructed remains of a Mobile Suit, her expression saddened by the final fate of the machine.

>Christina: They just scrapped it? After everything we put into it?
>Jerid: You actually going to contribute, or did you just come here to sightsee?
>Anaheim Technician 4: Miss Mackenzie, there is nothing we can do about the Gundam Mark III now.
>Jerid:..."Mark III"? You people were building your own successor to the Mark II? Heh, what? Was that much of a piece of crap that Anaheim decided it was better as a pile of scrap?
>Christina: More likely they didn't have time to take it with them, so they destroyed it.

Despite the conditioned of the now dismantled Mobile Suit, Jerid can't help but remain focused on the Gundam Mark III.

>Jerid:...The head wasn't all that bad looking. Woman, you were the test pilot this thing? Just how much of an improvement was it from the Mark II?
>Christina: Considerable, but over time the design was being simplified to meet budget limits-
>Jerid: Budgets can kiss my ass. Hey, eggheads! You back up on this things schematics?!

While Jerid continues to manage the data recovery operation within the vault, Kamille senses the sheer chaos ensuing at Zedan.

>Kamille: (This pressure...!)
>Titan Officer: Sir! We have just received numerous S.O.S signals from Zedan! They are reporting they were overwhelmed by an army of unknown machines! Their casualties are catastrophic!
>Kamille: Have they made any statements yet? This..."Axis"?
>Titan Officer: Nothing yet, sir. Captain, even with our current forces, many of the troops from Colonel Gable's fleet are still trying to reorganize. Should these people attack-
>Kamille: Can it wait? I am already aware of just how complicated all of this has become-

A proximity alarm begins to sound throughout Anaheim's headquarters indicating an incoming, unsanctioned crafts approach. Hovering atop Granda City, a Co-Musai begins to project a hologram of Mineva Zabi.

Looking out from the Alexandria's observation deck, Fa appears baffled by the sight of a child being projected upon the city. Watching from her seat as she tries to sip on a glass of water, Sarah's fist tightens at the sight of Mineva Zabi appearing before her again.

>Mineva: People of Granada, hear me now. I am Queen Mineva Lao Zabi, sole heir to the Zabi family. I come before you to assure you that our war to liberate the Colonies from the corrupt Federation and the murderous Titans shall not extend to your city. The forces of Kamille Bidan have shown their loyalty to our cause with their swift victory at A.Baoa.Qu. A victory that shall not only reward those who fought to achieve it, but your people as well.

Numerous containers are dropped from the Co-Musai, landing just outside of Anaheim's Headquarters, with others being lowered into area's affected by the invasion of the city.

[+10000 money and resources gifted from Axis]

>Titan Officer: W-what are they talking about? We never-
>Kamille: Are the communication relays functional again?!
>Titan Officer: Only the laser lines. Anything beyond that will need more time to repair.
>Kamille: If they control the narrative like this, everyone is going to think we are subservient to them!
>Titan Officer:...Sir, what exactly did they discuss with you-
>Kamille: Don't even think to say I am condoning this!

Just as Kamille prepares to make his way to the communication relay station to counter Mineva's current statement, he feels his thoughts being invaded.

>Haman: (The time has come for your answer, Kamille Bidan. As a sign of good faith, A.Baoa.Qu is yours to use as you see fit...so long as you ensure our Queen's words are substantiated.)
>Kamille: (The time we were given hasn't passed yet...! Why are you-)

Feeling the pull on his mind being released, Kamille stumbles against a wall as his forehead throbs in pain.

>Titan Officer: Sir, are you-

Refusing to be assisted by the crewman, Kamille makes his way to the Communication Array system, now being forced to make a hasty decision...

>>23846992

Ape together strong. Getting strung along by awful leadership is why we went rogue in the first place and while it's not ideal, I'd rather absorb what's left of Yazan's group than immediately undermine our attempts at image improvement. Plus we'd get Chap and Adel out of it, two fairly decent pilots (possibly Dunkel and Ramsus as well but we haven't seen them in ages)
>>
>>23846970
So obviously we're not doing that. It'd allow us to dispell the idea we're aligned with Axis and we get some pilots. It also seems like we already have the gifted money. Only problem is that we now have to deal with Axis on our front door immediately with sub-par suits, but besides Haman, what exactly have we seen from Axis, militarily? Act Zaku, Gaza-Cs. Jerid already called their bluff before, there's a decent chance Axis is a genuine paper tiger built on illusions like whatever Haman's got going on and doesn't actually have much military might to throw around, banking on AEUG to have done most of the hard work. Now that we've dealt with them, they hope to use us similarly.
>>
>>23847036

Kamille actually straight up spotted a funnel with a projector on it before his Axis visit. Not that the Qubeley isn't dangerous (it 100% is) but it's perfectly defeatable if handled correctly. The bigger issue is that they could simply swarm us with numbers but, barring fudged numbers and stats on Copy's part, they would have a limited number of Act Zaku, Gaza Cs and the scattered Gallus J or Zssa (the deadliest one here),
>>
>>23847036
Here is hoping that accepting the Titans remnants doesn't result in being blown up anyway but by a lurking Haman.
Then there's a second hypothetical scenario that an Axis fleet will appear to attack the remnants first and the Olympians need to deploy into an in-progress battle.
>>
>>23847054
On a technical level, agreed. On a narrative level? If things are resolved without involving gameplay at all? Questionable.
I'm inclined to refuse Axis' demands entirely regardless.
>>
Is there an upside to not killing the guys we’re gonna probably kill anyway since we’re aligned against the Titans?

I’m not for sending Sarah or doing it ourselves because there’s a good chance the “gift” is just more mindrape but I’m not seeing too many upsides to provoking Axis while we’re still vulnerable and taking in guys that might not necessarily be trustworthy. We have no idea whether they’re disaffected or still onboard with Bask’s program.

I guess the upside is more manpower (hopefully of the non-chud variety) and a few more probably shitty mobile suits but the drawback is pissing off Axis who are presumably fresh, technologically ahead, and have a lot of powerful Newtype aces who have ample reason to want to kick our ass.
>>
>>23847111
IF we are to kill those guys, then you need to send Kamille alone, there's no way around it
>>
>>23847111
I feel like when shit is breaking down the way it is, I don't think any of those guys coming in are gonna give a flying fuck whether or not we're the real Titans or not. If we manage to save them, then that's that, we were the greater power that could reach out and protect them, and I don't think they'd immediately start throwing shitfits once they learn who we are. Worst case scenario Drake throws a wrench in and diverts them towards whatever he's planning. Plus if we're gonna grow, we need to be taking in Titans and other Fed-adjacent dudes. The guys stationed out there can't be worse than the volunteers we have now. And what the fuck do you think it's gonna do for our troops to see a transmission of Axis telling everyone Olympia is aligned with them and then we immediately go out and attack a fleeing Titans force coming our way.
>>
>>23846970
I don't trust members of the Immortal 4th even if the worst member is dead to remotely balancing forces to our militia idiots, the only reason to not kill them is if we think Yazan/Yazan's Wingmen are there but considering Dunkle and Ramsus have had a combined zero lines this entire run I'm not sure if they even exist in this timeline. I'm voting send Kamile to lead a squad to kill them. The base Axis is offering us is really good too since it cuts Axis off from Side 3, not that they'd ever hand it to us but Side 3 being a satellite means they can't muster a large army there to stab us in the back with. I'm voting send Kamille to deal with the Titans.
>>
>>23847254

>>
>>23847254
You forget that Zedan can be destroyed. They want us to have it so they can leverage its destruction against us so that we keep doing Axis' bidding. Even if that doesn't happen, we'll have to defend it from Axis at some point. And with what? It'd be a slightly different story if we were able to produce Bardams, but we have practically nothing until those engineers crack the encryptions. Nemos will be the best we have, and maybe we'll take advantage of Zedan's resources and production capabilities for a time, but I don't think the loss in potential recruits (who are far from the worst Titans we could be recruiting, mind you) would be worth it. Axis seems desperate to have us dance to their tune so that we grow dependant on them, we can't have that. We cannot show we can be bought over. If we want Zedan, we should take it and not give credence to the claim we work for them. If not for our public image, then at least our internal one.

Side note: Genuinely, what the fuck are we able to make? We've got the schematics for the Shiki and Nemo thanks to Jerid, and we've got a handful of good ace suits, but what can we make in regards to our grunts? Yazan's fleet came in with fucking GM Cannon IIs and Quels, the most advanced thing they had were Marasais, will we even get the ability to make more of those? The wrecked consoles are probably gonna be the in-universe explanation for the spotty MS database we're gonna cobble together, meaning we probably won't be getting many more Titans suits for a long time, especially since they're all ace units made by NT labs or Scirocoo

Voting for saving the Titans survivors because of this Kamile foreshadowing
>Kamille: If they control the narrative like this, everyone is going to think we are subservient to them!
Speaking of foreshadowing, just some thoughts.
Since this run has a lot similarity to the Titanomachy, we need to pay attention to the allies related events.
Key Olympian Allies in the Titanomachy
The Cyclopes: Imprisoned by Cronus, they were freed by Zeus and repaid the favor by forging the gods' ultimate weapons: Zeus's thunderbolts, Poseidon's trident, and Hades's helmet of darkness which I think are Anaheim Engineers.
The Hecatonchires (Hundred-Handed Ones): These monstrous giants hurled hundreds of massive stones at once, providing the overwhelming firepower that broke a ten-year stalemate, most likely a Newtype like Judau.
Themis & Prometheus: Unlike most of their fellow Titans who fought alongside Cronus, the Titaness of divine law (Themis) and the clever Titan of forethought (Prometheus) sided with Zeus, surely is Scirocco .
Styx and her Children: The goddess of the Underworld river Styx was the first to pledge her allegiance to Zeus, bringing her children—Nike (Victory), Zelus (Zeal), Kratos (Strength), and Bia (Force)—to fight for the Olympians, I hope they are New Desides.

Interesting idea. Let me try interpreting too.
>Hecatonchires (Hundred-Handed Ones)
>providing the overwhelming firepower that broke a ten-year stalemate
We already have that, that's the Hyaku Shiki (Type 100) with the Mega Launcher
>Themis & Prometheus
If Scirocco is Prometheus doesn't that make Sarah Themis? Scirocco could also be Apollo in regards to Nietzsche's Apollonian vs Dionysian duality. He was a symbol of rationalism in the whole Rational Kamille debacle as opposed to Jerid's Dionysus.
>Styx and her Children
I'm pretty sure Styx is Leila, she was the first to pledge allegiance to Kamille and brought children (cyber newtypes from her and Kamille's contribution to the labs) like Four.

These are Yazan's guys, no? Turn them away, or fight them, and we probably lose Yazan as well. Even injured with reduced stats, that would be foolish. And we need whatever aces we can get regardless.

Also of all the people, Christina is one that can just straight up join the titans for real in Gihren Greed.

Intriguing, there are more similarities than I imagined.
Bask's takeover of the Titans from Jamitov just as Cronos usurps Ouranos and went on to rule with an ironfist.
Another fascinating tale from the mythology is Gigantomachy, a conflict in Greek mythology where the Olympian gods, led by Zeus, fought and defeated the earth-born Giants to secure cosmic supremacy. Incited by Gaia to overthrow Zeus, the Giants were eventually defeated through the intervention of the mortal Heracles, whose aid was prophesied as necessary for the gods' victory.
Cause: Gaia was angry that Zeus had imprisoned her children, the Titans, in Tartarus following the Titanomachy. The gods emerged victorious, cementing Zeus's rule. Symbolism In Greek art and culture, this battle represents the triumph of order (Olympians) over chaos (Giants).
In other words, be careful of what Haman or Zeon promised.

Disregarding Haman's ominous warning, Kamille opens a communication line to the tattered survivors of Zedan's fall, offering them a safe haven at the recently occupied Granada.

>Haman: (You really are just a child, you know that?)
>Kamille: (I won't be dragged into whatever kind of sadistic game you are playing. You have my answer, so go and tell your "Queen" what we have decided...or will you just go ahead and decide for her?)
>Haman: (Hehehe...do you actually think being stubborn will make you stronger? Please, do welcome to your doorstep. When you both recognize exactly what you are, you can feed yourselves. Actually, perhaps you both just need to be spoon fed your first time.)
>Kamille: (What is that supposed to mean?!)
>Haman: (Queen Mineva will be informed of what you decided when the time is right. Until then, do as you please. What comes next is outside of your control now.)

Feeling the grasp on his mind being lessened again, Kamille tries to clear his mind as he prepares for the arrival of Zedan's surviving forces.

While the survivor from Zedan are contacted and Jerid continues to focus on the extraction of the Anaheim Vault's remaining contents, Drake prepares to covertly abandon Granada, intent on salvaging his reputation by revealing the intentions of his temporary comrades.

Learning of the approach of their comrades from Zedan, the surviving forces that had joined Yazan in the assault on Granada gather to greet their comrades, with some intent on chastising their humiliating defeat. All they would find however would be the crestfallen expressions of the defeated, along with some who had truly lost themselves in the sheer terror of their overwhelming defeat.

>Yazan subordinate 1: How'd you all get your asses beat that badly? Without us there to hold your hands made it to tough for ya?
>Yazan subordinate 2: Lay off, will ya? These guys aren't just a bunch of weaklings. Lieutenant Bate, what happened out there-
>Alpha: Go bother someone else.
>Zedan Survivor 1: I-I see them! More of them are coming for us! Aaaah!!
>Zedan Survivor 2: Keep him restrained!
>Zedan Survivor 1: We have to submit! If we don't, they are going to slaughter us all!

Arriving in the dock receiving the survivors, Kamille senses the sheer and unrestrained fear still lurking in those who had managed to survive the attack on Zedan, regardless of how well they are managing to conceal it.

>Titan Officer: Captain on deck!
>Alpha: Where is that lunatic Yazan? We need to act-
>Kamille: What happened out there? Were your forces attacked by something resembling a sha-
>Alpha: Out of my way, creampuff.

Alpha roughly shoves Kamille aside, prompting the young Newtype to instinctively strike back at him.

>Alpha: You really want to get your ass kicked, boy? If so-what?

Taking notice of Kamille's uniform, Alpha growls in annoyance.

>Alpha: We don't answer to you, Newtype.
>Chap: Is now really the time to be pulling this?
>Alpha: I've heard of you. Some hotshot kid that the old man was pushing up the ranks. Old man is dead, so I am only sticking by what I know is going to get us through this. Now, where is Yazan?

Before Kamille can answer, the Co-Musai still lingering above Granada detonates, raining debris down upon the city.

>Kamille: Damn her...!

Alerted to the destruction, Jerid immediately calls for Mobile Suit teams to be readied for combat alert. Using whatever remaining AEUG Mobile Suits that had been stored for testing inside of the Headquarters and their own battered Mobile Suits, over sixty combat ready machines deploy from Granada's hangars to investigate the explosion, only to find over twenty-five of the projected shadows sent by Haman floating near the detonation.

>Jerid: This bitch again?! You aren't playing with my head again!
>Jerid loyalist: Boss, there are so many more of them this time...!
>Jerid: They don't have the element of surprise this time! C'mon, try and fight me! We'll see how well you do-

Pushing past Jerid's Byarlant, Sarah aims her own Byarlants claw beam towards the formation of shadowy Mobile Suits.

>Sarah: Get out of my head! Get out!!
>Jerid: Tch, she is trying to confuse you as well?

One of the shadows moves forward, its fingers moving in a mocking "come" motion as the other shadows rapidly begin to phase across Granada in the blink of an eye. Meanwhile in the hangar bay of Anaheim's Headquarters, the survivors from Zedan still willing to fight ready the remaining AEUG Mobile Suits stationed there for battle.

Even with the delay in his deployment, Kamille's Zeta arrives to find the lingering shadows not initiating an attack, with them instead still beckoning a response from Sarah in particular.

>Kamille: Were those the same machines that attacked all of you?
>Alpha: Yeah, the same ones. You had better live up to your kinds reputation, Newtype boy.

One of the shadow's visors locks onto Kamille, with four others also switching the view to his Zeta Gundam.

>Haman: (Good, you came. How obedient of you. Come, attack them. Show me that resolve of yours, boy.)

Kamille finds himself hesitating, unsure of Haman's intentions in not just simply initiating an assault.

>Jerid: Kamille, you finally made it! They gave up their element of surprise, so lets just crush them hard and fast!
>Kamille: Something feels off. Sarah, pull away from them! You are far to open-
>Sarah: If I can't even stand against something like this, how can I protect you from Scirocco? I...won't run!
>Jerid: That is the spirit! All forces, on me! Smash them apart!!

As Kamille prepares himself to engage the shadows, his eyes begin to envision the shadows being held by what appear to be flickering strings, with extensions of these wires attempting to break away in the direction of his Zeta Gundam and Sarah's Byarlant.

>Kamille: (Some kind of new weapon? What are you playing at here, Haman...?!)

Without warning, the shadow's begin their attack on the forces stationed at Granada, with them appearing to be targeting everyone but Kamille and Sarah directly.

>How will Kamille engage Haman's attacking shadows?
https://strawpoll.com/XmZRQ5QDKgd
>>
>>23848883
there might be a trick to this battle, but I don't know if having Sarah and Kamille protect the forces(because they seem to not be targets) or confront the one pulling the strings directly.

These Qubeleys might not be real at all
>>
>>23848887

I believe they're partially real but Kamille needs to be involved. If they're largely projections, it's probably something like...for every 2 Qubeley, 3 of them are actually projections. Kamille could almost certainly punk them with a beam confuse.

Alternatively (I just spotted this).

>As Kamille prepares himself to engage the shadows, his eyes begin to envision the shadows being held by what appear to be flickering strings, with extensions of these wires attempting to break away in the direction of his Zeta Gundam and Sarah's Byarlant.

We're looking at the Hamma-Hamma's Quasi Psycommu but applied to full on mobile suits. Slice the strings and the numbers will plummet...Probably.
>>
>>23848895
Then should we go for a Sarah tag team or Kamille alone?
>>
>>23848898

Honestly I don't know. Sarah is likely to get baited by Haman into doing something stupid but holding her back isn't ideal either.

I think the best option, after properly reading them is

>[Do not directly attack, instead only defend, allow Sarah to assist]: Do not directly attack the shadows, instead only guarding the other troops. Have Sarah do the same]

Kamille sees the gimmick, largely because they're gunning for him. My thought process is if Kamille and Sarah are still mixed in with everyone but focusing on defending them, the two of them can work on picking apart the net while Jerid and the others smash down the Qubeleys.

I expect we'll still take losses but there's a decent chance that the more shadows that get disrupted, the more they'll start to focus on Kamille instead of the others.
>>
>>23848906
I was thinking that, Haman either doesn't want to hurt those two or shes expecting them to rush forward and abandon the masses who can't see her wires, I'll vote the same.
>>
>>23848895
>>23848898
I can't help but feel like Sarah's line is a warning that we shloud have her pull back. She may not not notice the trick in her current state of mind. That said, sending Kamille in alone is insanely risky. Maybe the trick is just not attacking them at all? I dont know how likely we are to accomplish that, though. There's also the line about the strings attempting to break off towards Kamille and Sarah, and I'm not sure what that could imply.
>>
>>23848906 (me)

Adding to this, the Olympians are woefully outgunned and understaffed with a lot of low morale individuals piling in from the Zedan disaster. They need to pull together as a whole to get through this and I think letting Jerid and co handle the offense while Kamille and Sarah support them is how we'll minimize casualties...Probably.
>>
>>23848913
It probably means they're avoiding them
>>
>>23848913
And to be clear I am voting to defend while telling Sarah to retreat. Sending Kamille alone would be my second choice. I really think it says something that these shadows are all about goading and are doing it especially to Sarah.
>>
>>23848929

Yeah that's fair. I think defending with just Kamille or with Sarah can work. Definitely charge in like Jerid wants though. The boar will get the job done but he (and all the other Zedan survivors) are out for blood and won't be as aware of any trickery on Haman's part.
>>
>>23848941
>>23848951
The way I read the choice is that the forces will charge in, but Kamille and Sarah will cover them
>>
>>23848957

I think that's my read as well, I just misread my own post about it and panicked a bit.
>>
>>23848883
Attack, provoke them to reveal the trick. And order Sarah to retreat, she is being targeted for a reason.
>>
>>23848975
That line about 4 of them shadows zeroing on Kamille the moment he got there makes me think they're not targetting only Sarah but our newtype couple as a whole. Even so, Sarah is easy to provoke
So far Kamille has been slowly getting glimpses of what's behind these shadowy projections, we might get the final piece of the puzzle behind Haman's attack by defending and keeping a close eye on her movements, rather than blindly charging with the rest of our crew.
That said, im not so sure whether we can rein in Sarah, get her to calm down, and defend/observe carefully with us...
>>
>>23848812

>Actually, perhaps you both just need to be spoon fed your first time.

Sounds like she intends to force something onto Kamille and Sarah without harming those two. We can’t play into her hands.
>>
>>23849027
She's just gone full mommy dommy.
>>
>>23848906
I agree, and it occurs to me that as I try to view this from Haman's perspective, she may be leaving hereelf wide open but also trying to funnel Kamille and Sarah, pun intended.
>>
Well let’s see if we made the right call

>Kamille: Sarah, listen to me! You can't fire on those things!
>Sarah: Why are you-
>Kamille: I know it sounds crazy, but you need to focus on shielding the others! They aren't going to attack either of us!
>Jerid: You know something we don't?
>Kamille: Whatever this is, she is trying to do something to manipulate us. Just stay behind us, and she will find it more difficult to attack you!
>Haman: (Aren't you a clever one? Only...just how many places can you be in a single moment? Lets test it, shall we?)

While Sarah feels a flicker of uncertainty in Kamille's decision, Jerid chooses to follow the attack plan laid out, with him allowing Kamille to act as a shield for him.

>Jerid: You had better be right about this. It won't be easy bailing you and Sarah out if it is wrong.

Fifteen of the shadows converge into a single attack formation, all of them pressing against Jerid and Kamille's advance unit to intimidate them into ceasing their movement. Not allowing themselves to be deterred, Kamille continues to act as a shield, giving Jerid an opening to fire on the now massed shadows. While the majority of Jerid's shots appear ineffective, one of the beams grazes a physical object within one of the shadows, producing a pained cry that reverberates in Kamille's head.

>Kamille: (Wait, is someone actually in there?! T-that sound...a child?!)
>Fa: Kamille! Jerid!
>Jerid: Fa?! What the hell are you doing out this far?! Get behind me, and fire on the same position that I-

Catching a glimpse of a spark produced from the tangible damage done from his attack, Jerid presses ahead of the Zeta Gundam, his Byarlants claw latching onto something within one of the shadows.

>Jerid: So, that is what has been attacking us, huh?!

Crushing the projection device at the core of one of the shadows, a pained scream cries out, its pitch throwing Jerid off for a moment as the other shadows move to flank him.

>Kamille: Jerid, get away from them!
>Fa: Jerid! Behind-
>Jerid: As if...i'd let myself get thrown off by such a cheap, Zeekish trick! Uraah!!

Narrowly avoiding multiple beams being fired at him, Jerid feels his senses rapidly expanding as he determines the direct path the devices projecting the shadows, destroying an additional two with a single shot. The same pained voice screeches out as they are destroyed, only now their wail now encourages Jerid's increased brutality.

>Jerid: I've figured out your trick, bitch!
>Haman: (Ngh...! The time has come for that arrogance of yours to be tempered.)
>Jerid: Give me your best shot-

Having been so enthralled by his bloodlust, Jerid fails to realize that much of the rearline fleet has already come under intense fire from the other shadows.

Flanking around Jerid and Kamille's main attack squadron, the remaining shadows being projected by Haman move to ravage the Olympian's forces, rapidly and surgically slaughtering anything in their path.

>Sarah: Stay behind me! If you don't-
>Von Braun Volunteer: Ain't no reason they wouldn't shoot at you! Gang up and take em down, just like the Boss!
>Sarah: You...complete idiots! Didn't Kamille tell you already that-

Seeing Four's Gundam Mark II struggling, Sarah grabs hold of the damaged Mobile Suit, using her Byarlant as a shield to force the attacking shadows to cease their barrage.

>Four: Everything I try won't work...!
>Sarah: Don't break away from me! They...aren't attacking me, or Kamille. Why? Is that woman actually just two with us both?
>Salamis Captain: W-we can't take any more! The ship is going down!!

Unable to protect the deployed ships from Haman's attacks, Sarah remains at the side of Four's damaged Gundam Mark II, while Leila moves to use the damaged Hyaku Shiki's clay bazooka to cover many of the still improperly positioned forces now being driven into a terrified frenzy.

>Leila: (This absolutely awful feeling...!) Fa! Where are you?!

(x4 Salamis destroyed. x8 Nemo's destroyed.)

>Alpha: Tricky Zeek! Just die already, won'tcha?!
>Chap: Keep your shield up!

A beam burns through the bottom half of Chap's Nemo, nearly flaying him alive as he is forced to eject from the doomed Mobile Suit.

[Adel has survived without injury]

Retreating the center of Granada, Kamille, Jerid and Fa attempt to pick off any of the attacking shadows, damaging them partially as they skitter across the skyline of the damaged city.

>Haman: (How long as you going to just be an observer, Kamille Bidan? Shall I simply slaughter everyone and everything here to make the message clear about how pointless resisting us is? The longer you refuse to fight back, the more of your comrades I will-gah!)
>>
>>23849733

Another one of the devices projecting a shadow is destroyed, with Fa letting out an excited gasp at being the one to deliver a killing shot on one of them, before being struck with a sense of unyielding guilt as the sound of a little girls cry assaults her ears.

>Fa: D-did I just-
>Jerid: Don't fall for it, Fa! Its is just a trick, like everything else this Zeon hag has resorted to! We've already destroyed four of them, we can take out the rest if we keep at it!

Despite Jerid's bold words, Haman's relentless attack continues to eradicate swaths of the still confused and disorganized Mobile Suit teams. From their attack, over ten of the shadows cease function, with the remaining projections ceasing their attacks temporarily.

>Haman: (That carnage wasn't meant for them to feast on. Even so, more Newtypes will be spawned from this...hear me now, Kamille Bidan. Should I choose it, you could be wiped away in an instant. Continue to refuse your purpose, and there are fates far worse than death. You shall fully awaken, and in doing so, you shall show me the path for our kinds salvation. Until then...)

The remaining shadows begin to flicker, their energy reserves being nearly exhausted as they boost out from the Moons weakened gravity.

>Kamille: She stopped? What are our losses looking like?!
>Jerid: Get back here, woman!! Damn you, Zeek filth!!

[roughly 20-22% of friendly forces at Granada destroyed. 11 out of the 25 attacking Qubeley shadows have been destroyed. All remaining shadows have departed and despawned...for now.]

>haman reduced to shallow bluffs
Yeah, that's not too bad at all considering a lot of the destroyed mobile suits are quite old. Once we're mass producing Nemo IIIs we could probably take on a similar assault with very few losses.
Between this and the last fight against AEUG, our supporting aces probably picked up quite a lot of exp as well.
Something was weird here, I still don't think those were 25 proper Qubeleys, certainly not with ace pilots (even if they were just mass produced Puru aces). There just weren't that many funnels flying around for one thing.
>>
>>23849814
Agreed. For some reason, the text gave off the feel that the chunkier Elmeth bits were flying around and not the funnels, especially when Jerid crushed something at "the core of one of the shadows (>>23849692)."
Were the Olympians even fighting Qubeleys? Or maybe something that's only a minor step between the Elmeth and Qubeley?
>>
>>23849814
Don’t think ples are in there, but if the funnels have a recording of a ple getting hurt in them then I’m glad we didn’t side with her for sure.

>>
>>23849814

>>
>>23849814
>>23849929
Are you guys just now getting this? I thought we made the decision we made with the understanding that what we're dealing with obviously weren't mobile suits, but projections from (still lethal) funnels and that conventional attacks wouldn't be effective, as seen with how Zedan got washed. The real mystery is the screams. Surely it's deeper than just being another cheap terror tactic... right?
>>
>>23849773
I think it was all a mental attack, she didn’t intend on Fa and Jerid to be partitally enthralled by bloodshed, she wanted Sarah and Kamille to ‘take out’ the shadows on their own so she can get in their head, it’s unclear how it’ll affect Jerid and Fa but currently neither are fully awakened newtypes.

The reason why she’s targeting Sarah is because she thinks Kamille will be easier to control of his ‘favorite’ is under her control as well
>>
>>23850017
I figured it wasn't 25 actual Qubeleys but it would be foolish to assume it was nothing but 25 funnels with hologram projectors attached. Well, maybe it really was just that, but I don't know what Haman expected to happen if so, funnels just aren't that powerful, especially with several Newtypes on our side. They couldn't have taken out Zedan just with those.
I voted to attack under the logic that normally Newtype intuition in Gundam is triggered in the heat of battle, not observing from a distance. I was thinking of Gundam F91 when Seabook and Cecily are fighting the Bugs, surrounded on all sides.
We were probably fighting some kind of smaller mobile suits here is my best guess, like the size of a Ball but with beam weapons and holograms, and I think there were real Puru clones inside them.

While editing footage of the native's of Africa resorting to mass looting, murder and depraved inhumanities resulting from the collapse of the Federation's political leadership, Ameria listens to a widespread message being spread by the mastermind of the resistance effort being organized against the fully militarized Titans.

>Walter: I am Major General Walter Curtis of the Principality of Zeon. To the people of Africa, know that we shall make every effort to ensure your protection in the face of these atrocities being carried out by the unchained hounds of the Federation. As for the terrible destruction wrought upon Dakar, we do not condone or sanction the actions of the African Liberation Front. While they use equipment created by the Principality, their cause has nothing to do with the noble war our nation had fought!

Pulling a lollipop out from her mouth, Ameria sticks her tongue out the small view screen.

>Ameria: You Zeons really should be more honest. You people murder billions, and yet you can stand there yapping on about how a couple hundred-thousand being dead is the real tragedy? Your decedents deserved being deported into space.

Walter Curtis continues his speech, calling for not only other remnant cells to rise up to resist, but for the sane and rational amongst the Federations citizens and soldiers to deny the Titans any means to weaponize or abuse them. Finishing his speech, Walter takes a quick swig of water as Uriah moves to review their movements in the decimated Kilimanjaro region.

>Uriah: We have already received reports of other cells rising up to aid us. Notably Major Rommel has readied multiple natives for battle.
>Walter: Ah, Rommel. It is good to hear he has survived until now.
>Uriah:...General, the African Liberation Front is also calling their war effort a "Holy War". I know your stance on this conflict, but do we want to get tied into that kind of-
>Walter: Zeon is fighting the true Holy War, Uriah.

The Wonderswan one was very simplified compared to the mainline games, though it did allow for a better customization of unit stacks by being able to put named pilots on each suit individually rather than only applying commander bonus.

Haman's attack had been repelled, but not without leaving the newborn rebellion against the Titans limping from the brutal surprise attack. With the bulk of their functional warships destroyed and many of the reserve Mobile Suits repurposed from the AEUG in disrepair, the newborn Olympia movement already seems to be stunted...and yet, Jerid comes to his own conclusion from the battle.

>Kamille: You want to attack them directly?
>Jerid: Isn't it obvious why they were trying to press gang us into helping them? Their entire movement is a front loaded paper tiger. That bitch may be a monster, but the rest of these Zeeks? They barely have anything to fight with.
>Alpha: Jerid, was it? When Zedan came under fire, it was just those same Mobile Suits attacking, nothing else. No ships, no support craft...just that. If you are saying what I think you are, then count on us. Sooner we break Side 3-
>Chap: Even if it that thing is their only real trump card, it only sent a portion of what it fully has. There must have been over a hundred that attacked us at Zedan. If this woman decides to throw all of that at us, then we would be butchered.
>Alpha: Better to go out swinging than to be stuck waiting to be put down. Besides, I doubt Bask is going to wait long before pulling out Luna II's nuclear arsenal.
>Kamille: You actually condone that? You know the first places he is going to target will the Colonies!
>Alpha: Fuck em. Anyone who was worth a damn living in those things died in the One Week War. Now its just the same scum who encouraged all of this. I can tell you agree, Jerid-
>Jerid: Retard.
>Alpha:...What'd you just call me?
>Jerid: A retard. You are mentally retarded. It is that exact retardation that alllowed the AEUG to even exist in the first place! We gave these lunatics calling themselves Spacenoids the excuse they needed to start drawing the Colonies into their insanity!
>Alpha: I didn't take you for a bleeding heart.

>Jerid: I thought the exact same way you did. I get it. It makes perfect sense...for a retard-
>Alpha: Call me a retard again, you little shit!
>Four: While a fight would settle this, we should save our strength for our real enemies.
>Jerid: I've got some strength saved up. I can spare a little, given this moron is talking like that bloated...wait, where the hell is he anyways? Was he shot down in the last engagement?
>Olmpia Officer: Captain Drake? We has not among those who sortied in the previous attack.
>Kamille: Back onto the main point, you want to move forward with attacking Axis's forces first? That communication from that Mineva girl pointed out that they were going to give us Zedan. If their forces haven't moved in yet, we could occupy it before they learn what happened here.
>Jerid: It has to be a trap. No...I say we go for Side 3 and-
>Fa: What is the point of all of this? If what you said about Bask using nuclear weapons is right, this whole war is going to devolve into something more terrible than any of us could ever imagine. So many innocents are just going to be murdered...
>Jerid:...Kamille, what do you think? Whatever we go with, we'll win. If that bitch comes at us again, I have something to take her on properly being made.
>Kamille: What do you mean?
>Jerid: Once we've got some more funds ready to go, I got a Mobile Suit being made that will be better than anything ever made. The real successor to the Mark II. Until then though, I am for hitting Side 3. We take it over, and it'll legitimize our power.
>Chap:...You people are still fighting for the Federation, right? There have been some whispers around here about something else.

>Where will Kamille advise an attack on?

>>23851687
If we’re still on “truce” mode with axis gameplay wise(which is why we still have time according to Haman) going for Pezun might be a good idea
>>
>>23851687
I say we take Zedan
>>
>>23851687
Well, I don't see why we should wait. The only real options are to take Zedan to flank Axis as it advances toward Earth, but they probably already know we don't have enough strength to penetrate directly into their heart, so that position could quickly become untenable if we don't pivot to Side 3 immediately. There's also the risk of Glemy advancing directly to Granada unopposed.
>>23851698
Our other best option would be to start the race to capture the colonies and bases, as in the AEUG campaign, beginning with Side 2 and Pezun. Axis already has a significant lead, but they don't hold the most important research centers on Pezun and Gryps.
Personally, I'd consider this the most optimal approach.
>>
>>23851687

Hmmm, a bit hard to say. My read on the options are:

>[Attack Side 3]: Focus an assault on Side 3 to occupy Zeon's old homeland.

Immediately antagonizes Axis but will allow for a more defensible position for the Olympians as Axis will only be able to approach from Zedan. Leaves Granada exposed to the Titans at Side 2/Pezun.

>[Attack Zedan]: Focus an assault on the Space Fortress Zedan while it is weakened.

Possibly understaffed, allowing for a swift takeover and isolates Side 3 from the rest of Axis. May not antagonize them immediately but could potentially run into Haman again. Granada is caught between an isolated Side 3 and the Pezun/Side 2 Titans.

>[Attack Side 2]: Move to take control over Side 2 from Titan forces stationed there, along with readying for the capture of Pezun.

Allows Axis to fortify Zedan and Side 3 both. Securing Pezun might secure us the Bardam schematics and shut down Drake's warning to Bask and the Titans to what's really happening on the Moon but Axis will be more combat ready for an assault on the Moon again. It may also cause the Zedan survivors to retaliate and attempt to return to the Titans, leading to chaos in our ranks.

[Hold position and keep on guard]: Advise against mobilizing from the Moon, allowing Axis and the Titans to fight one another without interference.

Turtle up and hope for Axis and the Titans gut each other. The Olympians fortify before striking out but there's no guarantee Axis and the Titans sufficiently destroy each other. Will result in heavy civilian casualties once Bask starts throwing nukes around.

I think gunning for Zedan is the best call followed by Side 3. At the least, we'd secure our flank somewhat (Zedan) or entirely (Side 3).

Also while the Bardams at Pezun/Side 2 would be an issue, its close proximity to the occupied Axis colonies could give us breathing room.
>>
>>23851716
>>23851708
Zedan just feels like a trap option, not even Jerid considering it, the only good options are the sides
>>
>>23851723

They all have their upsides and downsides. The major concern with Zedan is that it might have a giant rock thrown at it but given how small the Olympians are as a force, the negatives for Axis are higher as they'd be destroying a major stronghold to get what, maybe 20-30 units (I doubt we'd send our entire force). Also if we isolate Side 3 first, we might be able to recruit the disaffected AEUG soldiers who went down that way like Roux as it becomes more clear that Axis is puffing lots of hot air.
>>
>>23851734
Zedan is where Haman wants us to go. I’m certain we’ll take it, we will have to deal with more annoying traps she left there though
>>
>>23851687
Side 2 seems like the best option to me, it lets use increase our sphere of influence along with plundering pezun for tech. I would like to secure luna II to remove nukes from bask's cards but that isn't an option at the moment. Side 3/Axis is probably a paper tiger but we have to also worry about Bask hitting us from behind once Drake warns him. Not sure how worth while Zedan is at the moment.
>>
>>23851687
I'm voting side 2 that's more likely to get us something valuable in the short term, Side 3's the gambling option since while it does legitimize our movement more with the senate dead, we've got what Kai Shiden as the only outside person to legitimize our movement to? I guess the Vist foundation could technically exist in a prototype form but basically every major organization that isn't an enemy on the map has been burned to the ground. The biggest reason to go to Side 3 would be to potentially recruit Roux since that's where she was last seen and I doubt she wants to stay with the Zeeks. The Gate of Zedan is largely if you want to push towards getting Judau it gives us territory right next to Side 1 which is where he canonically lives.

Side 2 just feels better gets us another research colony and treating them well while we kick the Titans off the tube gives us a chance to pick up the New Desides as allies, it also importantly secures our border against the Titans better while not pissing off Axis further.
>>
>>23851687
Zedan feels risky, I get the feeling that even if we take it, keeping it is going to be a huge pain in the ass. I'd rather stick to either Side 3 or Pezun. I'm leaning towards Pezun since I feel it'll help us strengthen our forces in the long run, but Axis taking Side 3 feels like it could make things snowball out of control if not handled properly.
>>
>>23851687
I'm wondering which target leads to the least turmoil in this newly formed faction. Feels like it'd be Side Three but I'd prefer Side Two for tech.
>>
>>23851679

Was Alpha this much of a cunt in 0083? Monsha makes sense but I remember Alpha and Adel being reasonable enough.
>>
>>23851837
Even Monsha is only a relevant character in like three episodes, his lackeys barely say a word.
>>
>>23851837
Alpha's best known for flipping off a Zeon Pilot he's fight he's a show boater how's just slightly less lecherous than Monsha. Adel's honestly a pretty normal guy especially with him being happily married. We see that pretty accurately here with Alpha being another idiot like Monsha normally is and Chap being pretty normal here.
>>
>>23851687
I don't trust going for Zedan. Even if Axis hasn't moved in yet proper, we're in an even worse position than if we'd simply have accepted it before. We would not be able to hold it especially from as many angles it's open to. It would cut off Side 3, yes, but who's to say we'll get to move in on it immediately after? It's pretty likely, but you'll never know.

Side 3 feels respectable as a prospect, it's a relatively safe expansion of our borders and we'd finally have a colony under our control, it being the Zeon homeland might go a ways to legitimize us better, depending on how we're able to treat them. We also might get Roux, but nobody should count on that and frankly who cares. She honestly might be just as likely to take up arms if she sees the Titans rolling up.

As much as we should probably go after Drake to make sure he doesn't squeal and plunder Pezun for its tech, production, and asset denial, I'm not sure if we could head him off quick enough, take on their forces, AND not leave our ass totally exposed for another attack. That and immediately turning on the Titans probably isn't going to go over too well with who we've gained unless we do it as bloodlessly as possible. I do feel like this option might be baiting us with our last chance to get Bardams and/or Xekus anytime soon if at all, but it'd be at great personal risk. Also, am I crazy, but doesn't Pezun replace Luna II in this mod? If it does there's no way we can wrap around Earth that quick, right?

Honestly I'm hesitant to fight at all, we're wounded, we barely know anything about Axis' true military might besides Glemy being sent there in a fuckin' Act Zaku, and Pezun's got Bardams defending it alongside its normal defenses, but inaction isn't going to please anybody and will only allow our enemies to grow stronger, so I'll opt for either Side 3 or Side 2.
>>
>>23851687
The only reason I'd go for Zedan is if we immediately pivoted to Side 3 and knocked them out, but that'd leave Drake to go tell on us to Bask and we'd start facing retaliation for breaking away from them, which honestly might not be a terrible way to get our new arrivals on board with us, if only for their own protection.
>>
if we strike side 3, what chances do we have of bringing Glemy with us?
>>
>>23851940
The Titans are crumbling in space at such an obscene pace that we’ll end up being pocketed by Axis before the Colony Laser vaporizes us. Most concerning is the Bardam, and the possibility that the entire Xeku line will fall into Haman’s hands.
>>23851949
Push them toward civil war. Not official alliances.
>>
>>23851949
I think low. Not sure where Glemy is at in his character development but generally speaking he’s fully on board with Zeek Kool-Aid. Depending on what condition she’s in, we might be able to get 1-2 Ples if we get Judau.

Not sure why Haman is even keeping Glemy alive if she can see the future though.
>>
>>23851949
Absolutely no chance
>>23851955
Actually yeah, now that you mention it, there's really nothing to be afraid of in regard to the Titans forces in space. Most of what we've seen have been outdated GMs, Hizacks and maybe Marasais. Our Nemos really aught to be more than enough and our aces can take care of the Bardams.

Well there's a chance he was just told to go out there and pretend to be Char and he's just genuinely improvising. The smile kinda undercuts that idea, but there's a chance. Not that it really matters consequentially, his ass is not joining Olympia unless he just genuinely hates the project.
>>
Side Two, eh? Hope this doesn't cause a small Olympians-Titans war or at least one that can't be put down easily.

>>23852112
Here's hoping we can work our magic convincing them, otherwise I can't imagine the Zedan guys will stick around if we just slaughter the fuckers.
Also hope Axis doesn't use the opportunity to just attack us again when most of our guys probably won't be there next time.

>>
>>23852258

>>
>>23851716
Should have hit Side 3, gave some meat to Zedan survivors. The Titans were supplied with Musai Kais during late Gryps from Side 3, we could have got those too.
>>
>>23852301

Well there's no real in-game model for the Musai/Chivay Kai so they'd probably just get more Salamis or something. Either way we'll just have to see how this shakes out. I was wary of going for Side 2 because it'll no doubt alienate the Zedan survivors (Chap and Alpha in particular who aren't slouches) and I didn't want to tip our rebellion too early.
>>
>>23852301
Last we saw Side 3 was literally filled with hundreds of Axis units and the remaining AEUG survivors. Attacking any Axis territory at this stage is suicide.
>>
>>23851687

Contemplating the threat of Bask utilizing nuclear weapons and the danger the Sides would soon face, Kamille makes his decision on where the newborn "Olympian" faction would begin its first intervention.

>Kamille: If Luna II's nuclear stockpile is used, countless innocents would be slaughtered, just as Fa said. It may not be ideal, but we should mobilize to the Side 2 cluster to secure those Colonies.
>Alpha: I didn't hear anything about these Zeeks overwhelming it.
>Chap:...Ah, so that is what you people are playing at.
>Jerid: You got something you want to say?
>Chap: AEUG and those Karaba guys left the Earth in shambles. From the sounds of it, you people just picked up their dropped flag and went right back to carrying on their war-
>Kamille: Don't you dare compare us to them! You really think Bask had no part in the destruction on Earth?!
>Chap: Honestly kid, I just want a solution that puts an end to all this nonsense Zeon brought on. I don't want anyone else to die pointlessly, but if a few nuclear detonations will force this to be done-
>Fa: You think it will just end with just a "few" atrocities?
>Chap: Sweetheart...you really shouldn't be here. A nice kid like you doesn't belong in this kind of place. I'd say the same about you, Newtype...but your kind seems to always find themselves at the heart of bloodshed.
>Jerid: For a Titan, you are completely blind to how the world works. Might is the absolute form of righteousness. A weakling like Bask would have folded instantly against what we have fought against. When Bask is pulled from power, we will have all of the power necessary to annihilate the Zeeks once and for all!
>Alpha: You come in here talking all that retarded shit-
>Chap: We'll stick around here to help our own boys out. As for your private war against Bask...honestly boys, I hope they do you both in fast.

[Chap and Alpha will remain at Granada and are contemplating their loyalties]
>>
>>23852327
Unsurprising on Chap's and Alpha's parts. However, this also makes me worried that Granada might be lost to the Titans proper while Kamille and Jerid are away.
>>
>>23852327

As the meeting between the Alexandria's staff and the ranking members of Zedan's forces is dismissed, Jerid vents his frustrations not only at the Zedan force's lack of respect for his movement, but the still lingering threat of Axis attacking yet again.

>Kamille:...I know you disagree with this-
>Jerid: You may have your own reasons for wanting to guard Side 2, but it will benefit the whole movement if we do it right. We take the Colonies, Pezun won't be far away. We get control over that base and its facilities, we can legitimize ourselves completely. More manpower, more funds, and finally...we can hit Luna II.
>Kamille: Heh...you already figured out how I want to handle this then, huh?
>Jerid: It won't be easy, but if we can pull off these occupations, we'll have everything we need to get my Mark III completed. After that, we can crush Luna II and secure those nukes.
>Kamille: You understand we can't afford to fire those things, right?
>Jerid: It is a deterrent. What we really need is the weapon Scirocco fired on Von Braun. With something like that, it doesn't matter how many of those hologram-things that bitch sends at us. We can vaporize her, and that entire rock they are attacking from in an instant! Until then though, take what you need to get Side 2 under control.
>Kamille: Huh? You aren't coming?
>Jerid: Trust me, I absolutely want to be out there kicking as and taking names. Even so, I need to get these buffoons here readied into an actual fighting force. Also need to make sure my new Gundam is built properly. If this "Axis" tries to attack us again, they will be walking into a real bad time. I hate parting with it, but take the Byarlant I was using. Make sure it gets put to good use.

As Kamille readies Leila, Four and Sarah, along with an elite squadron from the Zedan sector specializing in reconnaissance and data collection for departure to the Side 2 cluster, a private, personal war rages in the vile sewers of Granada. Even with his spine damaged and his numerous sections of his skeleton fractured, Yazan struggles through the agony for the thrill of hunting Astonaige. Astonaige, battered, sickly and slumped next to his makeshift and broken Petite Mobile Suits remains, clutches his injured shoulder as he tries to make out Yazan's position.

>Yazan: Don't even think of offing yourself...! I want your pulse nice and high when I violate you...!
>Astonaige: Saving every bullet I got...for you...Titan...!
>Yazan: Hahah-*wheeze*. Oooh, this is what life is about...! Ahahaha...!!
>Astonaige: You people are inhuman!
>Yazan: If it makes you feel any better...you'll earn a spot on my chest, just like that Sea turtle. I'll start by eating your liver first...!

Spooking Astonaige into firing one of his shots with a trick, Yazan wades through the filthy water towards the terrified mechanic, screaming like a rabid, wounded beast as he rams himself and Astonaige into the liquid sewage.

>>
>>23852346
Whether Copy means it or not (he probably does), Jerid switching from a Byarlant to a Gundam is a nice reversal of his canon transition into ever more monstrous mobile suits (from the humanoid Mk. II and Hizack, past the unnatural Galbaldy and Gabthley, to the inhumane Byarlant and Baund Doc) to represent his own declining humanity.
>>
>>23852327
Well, at least they're staying at Granada. Honestly I'm almost immediately regretting this choice, because if our play is going for the nuclear stockpile, we'll need to circle all the way in the fuck around the back of Earth through the Titan's forces, which will NOT be bloodless, and I think that's a lot more than what people who wanted to cap Pezun signed up for. Jerid not being with us will be a blessing and a curse, though. Kamille will be able to solely set the terms of every engagement, but now he'll also need to be able to rouse the troops without Jerid's help. He'll be in the company of more experienced Zedan troops, which should go over better than a bunch of Jerid's hooligans, unless it comes to blows with the Titans, but it'll probably be too late for them to think of leaving by that time. And Jerid will actually get some time to instill some regimen to our forces instead of coasting off of momentum, which we probably weren't going to get otherwise. Here's hoping we won't have a repeat of our last separation from Jerid.

>>23852487
The Mk-III is a pretty good compliment to the Zeta as well, the face being similar and all.
>>
>>23852576
Bask is probably stupid enough to do something like pull most of his forces back to Earth to kill more people/fight Zeon uprisings, which could give us a straight shot at Luna II. Hard to say, often things like this are Copy having to make up a narrative excuse for decisions the in-game AI makes (e.g. Scirocco rushing to save us earlier when he had been narratively set up to just observe)

Having retreated to Side 2's occupied colonies, Drake quickly asserts his false authority over its leadership, proclaiming himself as its legally assigned Military Governor in the politically uncertain times of Axis's rapid advance and the near collapse of the Federation government on Earth.

>Side 2 Mayor: We are barely managing as is! These terms are completely-
>Drake: Would rather be considered a Zeon sympathizer? The taxes we are requesting is more than reasonable considering what we are defending you against. I am more than happy to assist in the collection process on any groups that may be rather...unpatriotic?
>Side 2 Mayor: We can not afford another public crisis! Please, you have mercy-
>Drake: Then I suggest you help make the point. Remember, we are here to help. We just need to be assured that our contributions to your safety is appreciated-
>Federation Officer: Captain, we are being pursued! Long-range sensors have picked up the signal on that Alexandria-Class!
>Drake: Already?! O-of course they realized I left...I was far to important to their plans to have not been noticed...!
>Side 2 Mayor: Are we going to be attacked? You promised us-
>Drake: Terrible, murderous, hateful things are coming this way! Traitors, every last one of them! Unless you want to suffer what they intend to bring, you had better be fully supportive of whatever needs to be done!

Scrambling out from the Mayor office, Drake establishes a communication to Ballatro's cargo vessel.

>Drake: They followed us! Have you heard anything from the reinforcements we called on?!
>Ballatro: Why are you so worked up? It is only a single ship. It is nothing short of an insult! If it was that uppity brat, he is about to learn the price of looking down on me! Even if he recalls the Bardam's design, I put on a new, special weapon-hehehe~!

Meanwhile, the Alexandria escapes the gravity of Von Braun's crater, with Kamille and the other Newtypes taking a moment of silence for the dead.

>Four:...I made a terrible mistake.
>Kamille: You mean about that Drake guy? Whatever impulse made you save him, there is not way you could have predicted he would have ran off like he did.
>Sarah: If he did betray us though, we can't let him go.
>Leila:...You almost sound excited at the idea, Sarah.
>Sarah: I never liked him, even when he was pretending to work with us.
>Kamille: We still don't know for certain that he turned on us-
>Four: He did. He...most certainly did. The way how he walks, the way how he carries himself...he is the exact kind of lazy, undisciplined...fat, stupid-
>Sarah: Guess we know Fours position on this.
>Four: I don't like it, but...maybe that guy on Pezun had a good reason for trying to...no! It was still dirty and dishonorable to try and kill him then! Even if he is a nasty, ignorant-

Fours rant is broken by the sounds of a camera being operated, with the head pilot of the EWAC Hizack squadron taking pictures of the massive, shining crater where Von Braun once existed.

>Kamille: Do you have no shame?!
>EWAC Hizack Pilot: Hey~hey, no need for yelling~! We are the first to get such a close photo~! I have my pride as a photographer, ya know?
>Kamille: Are you seriously with the Titans?
>EWAC Hizack Pilot: Everything you saw in the papers and the electronic news feeds came from moi~! God gave us eyes to witness history, and the best of mankind gave us a way to eternalize it in physical form!
>Leila:...Can you show me your pictures?
>EWAC Hizack Pilot: Right on, baby doll!
>Sarah: You actually are taking this idiot seriously?
>Leila: Most people only understand what they can see. Nobody...should be made to live in ignorance.
>Kamille: Leila...

Of course he'd start making his own power plays. Though thankfully it might serve to make us seem not so bad in comparison.
Also, I was not expecting getting both Byarlants. Really feeling that capacity limitation. We're gonna tear ass on a stack, but we'll need to keep those EWACs safe, though since there's no other troops assisting. Hopefully they stay back. It'll be good to have a pet news crew

Days of tension would quickly pass, with the Alexandria finally arriving at Side 2's airspace. As the ship approaches, Drake taps his fingers nervously as he fully recalls the sheer battle strength demonstrated by its crew.

>Drake: Almost forty Mobile Suits...t-these men you assigned to the Bardam's are all of ace quality, yes!?
>Ballatro: Very talented, the best kind of talent. Did you know I once handed General Revil a bottle of Aspirin? Great man. The greatest kind of man.
>Drake:...That is real nice. Ok, we just need to overwhelm them. This new weapon on the Bardam will punch right through any defenses they have, so it would be best if we just hit them with a direct assault from the front-
>Federation Officer: Reinforcements! It is from the Titans defensive fleets!
>Drake: They came! They really did! How many of them are there?!
>Federation Officer: Counting four ships, all claiming to have full complements of Mobile Suits!
>Drake: Oooh! Lady luck is smiling on me! T-tell them if they can capture their crew alive to do so! That irritating Jerid can hang, and that "Newtype" boy could do with spending some time in a brig, but obviously the women are just part of a cult of personality. The slow, spastic one with the blue hair obviously just needs help especially...

Onboard the Alexandria, the bridge staff confirm a total of over seventy Mobile Suits total being mobilized to assault the vessel.

>Kamille: They amassed this many Mobile Suits? How did he manage to convince them to send so many?
>Leila: Kamille, I will keep the recon team safe. We need to make sure everyone understand what we are fighting for, right?
>Kamille: We do, yes-
>Four: Fight. We need to fight harder than we have before...!
>Sarah: I agree. Miss Four, are you used to how the Byarlant controls?

Four clutches her hand, tightening it as he fist shakes with anger.

>Four: Guns are cowardly, but my anger will be unleashed from the Byarlants hands, no matter the distance!
>>

>>23855019
Not liking our chances either, frankly. We need a tight formation to make sure the EWACs, Super Gundam and Alexandria don't get picked off. And we'll be off real bad if they've ended up sending more contemporary suits. If we just have to worry about the Bardams, we can just focus them with our ace stack, otherwise we'll have to have Kamille try and talk his way through this.

Readying a defensive formation, Kamille deploys ahead of the Alexandria with Four and Sarah's Byarlants at his side, serving as the lure to draw out the approaching Titan armada while Leila readies a firing position from the Alexandria and the EWAC Hizack begin to collect movement data on the assault forces moving ever closer.

>EWAC Hizack Pilot: Eee~! You got some real brass on ya, boy! You Newtypes are all kinds of crazy, ya know that~?
>Kamille: Don't even think about running away.
>Leila: He won't try to leave. Not while a chance to record all of this is an option.
>EWAC Hizack Pilot: Lil sis over here is a faster learner! Sending over some data for you three now~! Get me some one of a kind shots, will ya?
>Sarah: Ngh...! Take this seriously, will you?!
>Kamille: This data is just what we need though. Just...we are trusting you, alright? Leila, don't do anything hasty. Just stay to the back and keep us covered!
>Leila: Understood.

Over twenty Mobile Suits initiate their attack on Kamille's forward squadron, with the three Newtype avoiding the bulk of the first barrage of beams and machine gun shells flying towards them.

>Drake: Keep firing! They can't dodge forever!
>Ballatro: Time for them to get a taste of what real talent can make! Bardam's, compress the beam and use the Ripple firing mode! Dodge or block, it won't matter! You'll be cooked regardless! Eyehehe~!

While Kamille and the Byarlants manage to avoid much of the incoming attacks, the newly deployed Bardam's easily outmatch the Hizack and Marasai's performance, making their assault more concerning as they push forward.

>Kamille: Stay behind me! If they went with the targeting system I advised, they won't be as clumsy as the others! The Zeta's shield can take their beams!

While Four and Sarah fully comply, Kamille feels his skin burning beneath his pilot suit as the Bardam's beams burn against the Zeta's shield.

>Kamille: W-what the...?! Why does my skin burn so much...?!
>>
>>23855078

Immediately taking notice of the Zeta's increasingly erratic movements from its pilots light, but lingering fresh injuries, Ballatro can't help but let out of a nasty chortle at the effect of his new weapon system.

>Ballatro: Didn't expect that now, did ya?!
>Drake: It blocked all the shots though-
>Ballatro: It doesn't matter. Zoom in and observe the front armor on that Mobile Suit! Tiny, but noticeable burns all across it! Even if the beam itself was stopped, the Minovsky Particles at the right compression point can be converted into a radioactive gas-like acid! Little by little, it burns right through anything it touches, metal, or organic! Keep firing! I want to take that Mobile Suit he is piloting to experiment on it! Better in my hands than some propped up little brat!

Bearing with the stinging sensation assaulting his senses, Kamille continues to relay attack commands to Sarah and Four, picking off more of the Titans attacking forces as they continue to move in.

>Marasai pilot: Seventeen Mobile Suits are already gone?! What in the hell are these guys?!
>GM Quel pilot:...The Black Devils! Newtype monsters!
>Marasai pilot: The Black Devils?! They are real?! I thought they were just propaganda!
>GM Quel pilot: Don't let up! The pilots may be inhuman, but those Mobile Suits have their limits!

A high powered beam cleaves through a retreating Hizack, forcing the formation built around it to disperse.

>Leila: You aren't behind them! (If everyone can see how terrible this war is, it can come to an end sooner! Then Fa won't need to suffer any longer...!)

Blocking a shot targeted at Four, Kamille watches as the outer layer of his pilot suit begins to change pigment from the invisible corrosion impacting it.

>Four: You all are fighting like dishonorable cowards...I hate it!

Firing a beam from the Byarlants claw, Four targets the cockpit of one of the Bardam's. In that moment on intense combat however, something changes within Kamille...

[Kamille has reached level S. Newtype level 5/5 achieved]

At first, the Zeta's movements had barely changed from just moments before. Gritting the pain of the Bardam's Ripple beams, Kamille achieves a new level of focus as his counter attack against his attackers rapidly begins to turn the tide of what had once been a desperate defense.

>Bardam pilot 1: Why isn't he dead yet?! He said even if it blocked the beams he would be flayed alive by now!
>Bardam pilot 2: B-back! Get back, its coming right at us!

Spewing its head vulcan into the barrel of the Bardam's beam rifle, the detonation causes the modified Minovsky Particles to spray back onto the Bardam, incapacitating and blinding its pilot from the radiation burning through his normal suit.
Pushing ahead of Sarah and Four, Kamille's savage attack destroys another fifteen Mobile Suits, further mortifying the attacking Titans as they begin to fully fathom the kind of enemy they are faced with.

>Drake: I-ignore the Mobile Suits! Just destroy their mothership and pull back! We can just starve them all out! Over half of the entire attack force was destroyed...what the hell even is this nonsense?! These are actual soldiers, not like those AEUG ingrates!
>Ballatro: Ignore him! Keep attacking until they are dead!
>Drake: We haven't even destroyed a single one of them yet! This is suicide-
>Ballatro: Worthless coward! All of you military types lack any true talent!

Still maintaining her firing position atop the Alexandria, Leila feels a twinge of fear at the brutal, yet perfectly controlled maneuvers being pulled off by Kamille. As her own biology betrays her rationality, lingering memories of the emotions that had been twisted by forces outside of her control resurface, with the bloodshed being brought about by Kamille reminding her of the carnage she found herself relishing in on Earth and in space before the Biosensors destruction.

>EWAC Hizack:...Man, Newtypes are scary as hell, eh Baby doll?

Sarah's abilities rapidly evolve from the intense battle, along with Fours own prowess with melee combat as she uses a combination of the Byarlants claw beams and precise strikes to rip through the Titans forces.

>Ballatro: Worthelss! Every last one of you people are worthless! My design is perfect! It is without flaw! If I only had capable staff-

While the battle for Side 2 rages on, Axis utilizes the opening in the Titans weakened lines to initiate multiple offensives across space. The orbital positions above Africa, Europe and mainland China are overwhelmed within a matter of hours, with only the major junction between Side 4 and Luna II managing to repel the onslaught of this new Zeon threat. While Axis is able to gain large swaths of territory from their alliances with the willing Sides and the Titans inability to guard Konpei Island from their onslaught, they find their outdated Mobile Suits to be struggling against the more advanced machines of the Titans...however, that gap would soon be closed with Anaheim's treasure fleet being absorbed into Axis fully.

>Side 2 Mayor: That ship is...!
>Side 2 Official: Is it a Civil War?! This is madness! Our Colonies will be caught in the crossfire of this insanity!
>Side 2 Mayor: We just have to be obedient...! If a single vessel could fight off an army of that size, they may be our only chance at surviving another Zeon occupation!

[85% of Titan forces at Side 2 destroyed]

Over sixty Mobile Suits are reduced to derelict wrecks, with any surviving machine now in full retreat from their humiliating defeat. Finally able to push from their defensive formation, the Alexandria faces only minimal resistance as they move to secure Side 2's primary colony. While the remaining forces still willing to fight continue to open fire, a single escape shuttle escapes from the command Salamis, its destination; the Space Fortress Pezun.

>Drake: (They are going to kill me! They'll string me up on meat hooks! Good god, what have I done?!)

Escaping with the transport shuttle Ballatro had carted along, Drake prepares for a last resort at Pezun. Onboard the derelict Salamis, Ballatro's body floats silently in the now gravity-drained chamber.

>EWAC Hizack pilot:...Well, this won't need much editing at all. Pictures worth a thousand words, but all of this warrants a whole dictionary~.

Floating amongst the wreckage of the battleground, Kamille rips away the helmet from his normal suit, along with yanking open the partially burned space suit. Not even aware of his comms being open, Kamille releases a scream from the depths of his chest, its sound one of agony, despair and raw rage from the carnage of the now ended battle. Genuinely shaken from this open display, Side 2's Mayor opens a communication link to the Zeta Gundam, desperate to negotiate his citizens, and his own safety.

>Side 2 Mayor: Cease your fire! We submit! Our Colonies no other choice than to capitulate to their demands! Captain Pashuray claimed that your vessel had instigated a violent coup!

Victorious, yet still feeling the mental shift from his Newtype abilities expanding in the heat of battle, Kamille struggles to maintain his sanity while he attempts to rest aboard the Alexandria. While recuperating, Side 2 issues a proposal for a security contract that would have their protection guaranteed in return for a consistent flow of tax funds. Forwarding this information to the recently rechristened "Olympia", Kamille receives an almost immediate response from Jerid.

>Jerid: If they have money stockpiled, we need it. Immediately.
>Kamille: Just stripping them of everything would be catastrophic for their people.
>Jerid: The agreement is that they would pay accordingly for our protection. We get that bulk payment now, I have some project these Anaheim drones uncovered for me. We get them up and running fast, and nothing these Zeeks or Bask has will be a threat to us. We can't afford to be slow with this, Kamille.

>How will Side 2 be handled?
https://strawpoll.com/B2ZB9O5QxgJ
>>
>>23855369
I think Jerid is right here. We need the money, plundering sucks of course and would be a hit morality wise, but we can afford to not take bonuses at a later date if Goodboy points are really what we're worried about.
>>
>>23855369
>>23855374
outright plundering side 2 isn't really a good idea and with the goal of uniting the sides in mind, especially when we're literally running around with reporters, if you want to tax them higher sure, but I'm also fine with not increasing at all
>>
>>23855369
I'd rather not plunder Side 2, but we're up against the Titans and a supercharged Axis right off the bat. We need everything we can get while Axis isn't openly fighting against us. Hopefully we can make it up to them later when we're less pressed for resources, but I feel like that won't be so easy.
>>
>>23855369
Aw man I hate these votes. We need that fucking money but looting the colony goes massively against our values as a faction. If we loot them we'll be putting all our newtypes in a bad light too. But this is also Side 2 one of the least relevant sides so like if we're going to be a piece of shit to one of them it's this one. I wish there was a half measure option where we got less money from them in exchange for a lower tax rate for the future or something. Take like 15K now drop the money to zero for 50 turns.
>>
Thinking about it we've got a camera on our asses right now I think not fucking them over while we've got a Camera rolling and we're showing off just how powerful and cool us newtypes are would be for the better.
>>
>>23855369
>[Plunder Side 2's economic reserves]
Copy, you'd better give us the vote afterward on how to invest our resources, and this better not be the option to rush the development of Jerid's Mk.III
>>
>>23855391
>and this better not be the option to rush the development of Jerid's Mk.III
This is exactly what it is, that's what Jerid is asking for, we just got 10k money+resources from Axis, I don't think we're AS poor as people think and we're well on our way to take Pezun which will also have resources and tech of its own
>>
>>23855369
Honestly the only real options are plunder and higher taxes, and while plundering could be nice we did get a lot of resources from the getgo, but higher taxes is what they asked of us and also makes us look preferable over a bunch of angry bandits. There's no reason to not agree to the plan (Side 2 won't be angry with us since they drafted this idea) and also destroying side 2 entirely is just the chaotic stupid option.
>>
>>23855369
I'm sticking with not becoming a different flavour of brutality and voting for having taxes remain as is. This occupation will create the initial image of the Olympians. I also can't help but think of sacking Side Two as something of a reversion on the discipline that the faction desperately needs.
>>
>>23855390
Yeah, thinking about it a bit better, it's probably better in the long run to just increase the taxes.
>>
>>23855403
I suspect that the higher taxes was Drake's plan. Side Two can't handle more.
>>
>>23855369
>>23855374
Instantly putting the first Side under our protection into poverty probably isn't a smart play, especially with the cameras rolling. Assuming the higher tax plan ISN'T the one Drake demanded of them, it's probably good to agree to terms they themselves have laid out since it indicates they're able to pay. Plus I'm worried about what'll come from the economic deprivation, especially since there's no guarantee it'll ever go back up.

>>23855391
I'm not totally trusting Jerid with that amount of money. If he's a smart man, he'll know to budget and spend what he's getting on raising a bulwark and not on his goddamned vanity project. Plus we're heading towards Luna II, unless we cut through Earth's atmosphere, we'll be heading to another Side, not to mention Pezun.
>>
>>23855259
Its really funny we're fighting for fucking scraps over here and considering plundering an entire side for 20,000 gold and Axis just finished deconstructing the AE treasure fleet for 200,000 fucking gold and resources.
>>
>>23855424
If you ask me, its all just a trap to make us vote the desperate vote even though we don't really have to
>>
>>23854932
>>23855369
>>Side 2 Mayor: We are barely managing as is! These terms are completely-
>>Drake: Would rather be considered a Zeon sympathizer? The taxes we are requesting is more than reasonable considering what we are defending you against. I am more than happy to assist in the collection process on any groups that may be rather...unpatriotic?
>>Side 2 Mayor: We can not afford another public crisis! Please, you have mercy-
>>Drake: Then I suggest you help make the point. Remember, we are here to help. We just need to be assured that our contributions to your safety is appreciated-
>>23855403
>>23855380

>>
>>23855447
To be fair 20K is like 5 turns of our factions entire income due to that 3k base funds we get every turn, really though if we wanted to try and raise our econ we should have went for side 3 since its a faction main base it has a huge payout for owning it.
>>
>>23855466
i actually forgot he did do that amongst everything else, my bad then, the "without taxes" seems a lot more appealing now. Thank you.
>>
>>23855343
If nobody outside of the Moon had heard of the Olympians before, they certainly have now with this victory.
We JUST got paid by Axis. I'm voting for the high tax plan, not the plundering. We need some kind of proof that we are more than just a splinter faction of the Titans, or else every other Side will just capitulate to Zeon, who are maintining a decent public image so far.
Jerid will get his Mk. III, but he will have to wait for it like everyone else. This might be the last lawful push we need to recruit Chris as well.
>>
>>23855409
>>23855466
The difference is, we have just proven that Drake (and by extension the Titans) couldn't protect Side 2, and we can. That's why Side 2 are willing to pay us higher taxes.
I don't expect the higher taxes to ever pay for the missed plunder financially, but we are really paying for a reputational boost here. As a faction that seized the moon itself and then brushed aside a Titans force three times our size at Side 2, we are building a name for ourselves here - that's why this Eyezack pilot is getting so much screentime, to emphasise that we are now knee-deep in geopolitics (solarpolitics?) and need to consider public image much more. Are we to be feared as bandits, or welcomed as liberators?
Given Side 2 themselves suggested the taxes, they should be able to pay them one way or another.

Pray for the mayor of Side 2 everyone, but let's be honest, he is probably just breaking out the money printer to fund this (thankfully GG is not Europa Universalis, so we don't need to think about inflation)

Jerid has already cast aside his Byarlant like a toy he got bored of, he is never letting this Mk. III thing go. Which I guess means even if we recruit Chris we'll need something else for her to pilot. Maybe she could take his old Hyaku Shiki for a while at least.
Anyway, expect him to be annoying about bringing it up every time we have any money.
>>
>>23856147

He gave it to Four and desu, it's on borrowed time gameplay-wise. The MK III blows it out the water offensively and it gets the Full Armor upgrade as well. The Hyaku Shiki presumably went to either Fa (though she did use the Xeku a bit) or might get upgraded into the Kai.

While unwilling to directly plunder the stockpiled wealth of Side 2, Kamille does not deny the proposed offer of the Colonies providing increased tax revenue for the Olympian's cause in return for full protection.

>Side 2 Official: How are we supposed to enforce this?! We are barely keeping up with the current rates being imposed on-
>Side 2 Mayor: Examples will be made. Just enough for the public to understand that this is necessary for their own safety that they comply. Riot Police are authorized to use lethal force...

[The Colonies of Side 2 have increased their provided tax (money) revenue.]

Taking a short recess at the central Colony of Side 2, Kamille and the others still feel the shifts in their bodies and minds from the intense engagement, with their sensory abilities shifted from its intensity. Aware that their next target will be the Space Fortress Pezun, the Newtypes silently consider what they will be forced to engage next. Meanwhile on the outskirts of Pezun, Drake uses his personal identification and landing codes to make landing at the nearly deserted fortress, with the remaining staff still operating at the base quietly contemplating his removal, with or without violence.

>Drake: All of the long range communication lines were severed?! We need everything in the fleet here!
>Pezun Officer: Captain Pashuray, we were not told you would be returning. It would be best if you stand down until we receive further orders-
>Drake: They are going to murder me! There has to be another line that wasn't-oh!

Sealing himself off from the other staff, Drake attempts to use a covert laser line that had been provided to him by Mike Saotome, desperate to contact anyone with the connections to ensure his survival.

>Drake: Mike, don't let me down now. Of all the times I need you, now is the-there it is!

While the full scope of the Titans crushing defeat at Side 2 reaches Olympia, Jerid utilizes the existing funds extracted from Anaheim's vault and from the population of Granada for a multitude of projects to benefit his planned offensive to rapidly shift the tide of the war effort. Recovering the wreckage of the Argama Kai, the vessel is rapidly reconstructed from its damaged state to serve as a flagship and trophy of the victory achieved over the AEUG. Utilizing the Gundam Mark III's recovered data, along with its wreckage to serve as a base for its redevelopment, Jerid directly oversees the project as the Mobile Suit is brought into a near functional state.

>Jerid: It is far from enough! These specs are nowhere near what you people trudged up!
>Anaheim Engineer: The fact we were even able to get it in this condition so quickly is a miracle in its own right. We still need to properly test all of the safety systems, along with the rear beam cannons.

Gently placing her hand onto Fa's shoulder, Christina shakes her head slightly for her to step away. Recognizing Jerid's unstable obsession, Fa quietly steps back.

>Fa:...Hmph. Is a pretty face all he needed to start trusting you?
>Christina: Would you like some coffee?

I’m assuming Jerid is talking about the Mk. III Gundam (or the ZZ? I think around this time basically all Gundams were derivatives of the Mk. II/Quel line or the Zeta, unless you count the RD/Hyaku Shiki, which is from the Physalis). I don’t think we’re far enough along to get Psyco-Gundam stuff? How much of the labs shit did we actually recover/get to keep?

Mk III Full Armor.

Jerid wants to be Kamille's equal so bad. Let's hope he can back it up when the time comes. But honestly MK-III and the Zeta Gundams together would be fantastic. Two descendants of the Gundam MK-II fighting side by side would be quite the aesthetic.

Just days prior, the survivors of the AEUG who had been reassigned to the defense of Side 3 had awaited their inevitable defeat and capture at the hands of the Titans. Now, they find themselves not only being lavished by their benefactors from Axis, but directly thanked and commended by "Char Aznable" for their bravery and service to the cause of protecting the liberty and freedoms of the noble Spacenoids. Sparing no expense, "Char" organizes and funds a gathering of the AEUG's remnants, along with men and women of political importance living on Zum City.

>Char?: If I may have a moment of your time. Could we have a round of applause for these brave soldiers, many of which who were born and raised on Earth, who have sacrificed so much for this noble and just cause! The festivities tonight is but just a small offering for all you have done, and I swear upon my honor as the Red Comet of Zeon that every one of you will be rewarded beyond measure when this terrible war is concluded! The night is darkest before the dawn, but let it be known that with the generosity and magnanimity of our beloved Queen, the future awaiting all of us a truly bright one!

Despite the almost childish and overly optimistic words being giddily spoken by the man claiming to be Char, Roux finds herself oddly entranced by his gentle, yet confident voice. While she tries to not smile at "Chars" display, the other survivors of the AEUG cheer on the masked ace, indulging themselves in exotic foods and alcoholic beverages.

>Roux: Tch, is that all it took to get you people to go full Zeon? Some octopus tentacles and some pretentious labeled wines?
>AEUG Officer 1: You know how long it has been since I had a damn good meal? We even Char himself reminding everyone of just how much we busted our asses out there!
>Roux: You actually think that guy is Char? Get real-
>AEUG Officer 2: I believe it over that copy-cat who was back on the Argama. Guy made an ass of himself on television

>AEUG Officer 3: Wonder if he got that scar back at A.Baoa.Qu. Could have swore I saw his Gelgoog explode-
>Roux:...Actually, what the heck is that mark? I heard he burns beneath his mask, but nothing about that thing on his chin. You know what?

Pulling a glass of champagne out from a noblewoman's hand, Roux downs the expensive drink, tossing aside the empty glass as she musters a question to the man claiming to be Char.

>Roux: Oh wow, you are just so cool, Captain Char~! I bet all of this encouragement is going to do us a whole lot of good when you tell us to run headfirst back into Granada, right~? How about you cut the crap and-

Roux sarcastic and mocking tone dies in her throat at "Char" leaps down from the stage, his hands moving to clasp her own.

>Char?: Beautiful. Even you are out there fighting for us?
>Roux: L-let go of me, will you? If you don't, i'll yank that stupid prop mask from your-eep!

"Char" leads Roux by her hand back towards the stage, with him effortlessly lifting her onto it to display her to the nobles of Side 3.

>Char?: Do you all understand just how much the AEUG sacrificed for us?! A woman of this caliber, who could have achieved anything she desired in her life with her magnificent appearance and lovely voice, gave all of that up for the sake of this noble cause!

Roux shivers involuntarily from the emotions bubbling within her. Not emotions of anger or disgust...but a genuine affection from being cherished so genuinely. In that moment, she found herself believing. Regardless of his soft voice and his naive views...she found her hand wrapped around "Char Aznables".

>Char?: Ah, my apologies! I just couldn't help myself from...from ensuring you knew just of what a wonderful person you are! Please, I must have your name!
>Roux: I-its...Roux-
>Char?: Roux! Roux-what?
>Roux: Louka-
>Char?: Roux Louka, everyone! Are we all in agreement that her children would be nothing short of beautiful?
>Roux: What the hell?!

>Glemy with a breeding fetish

Breaking away from "Char", Roux's cheeks burn a crimson red from embarrassment.

>Roux: You sure the burns under that mask didn't make you into an idiot?!
>Char?: A-ah, my apologies. Just imagining how pure and adorable you must have been as a child was just far to exciting for me.
>AEUG Officer 4: Whoa, Char is so open about being a pedophile.
>AEUG Officer 5: Don't be a moron. The fact he has Kayra's apprentice all wiggly means he said the right thing to get Roux bothered. Gotta hand it to him...Char's taste ain't half bad.

Jumping down from the stage, Roux rushes out from the event, flustered and deeply ashamed at allowing herself to be toyed with publicly. As one of her heels slips off, "Char" quickly takes hold of it to try and return it as he gives chase.

>Char?: Miss Louka, wait! You'll trip over if you run in heels!

Many of the nobles and the drunken AEUG Officers erupt into a gale of carefree laughter, further agitating Roux as she hides behind a column to collect her thoughts.

>Roux: (That idiot just used me as a prop for his own...I mean, hell yeah they would be adorable-ugh, what am I thinking?! The others won't ever let me live this down.)
>Char?: Roux! I owe you an apology! I lost control over myself!
>Roux: (You sure did, idiot. I wonder if he'd take his mask off if I asked. Seeing him all burned up would get the idea of his face out of my-)

Taking a knee without hesitation, "Char" lowers his head to the small orange-haired girl haughtily approaching him.

>Char?: Mistress, my deepest apologies for not attending to you sooner. Would you care to meet the heroes who were defending our homeland before our-
>Orange-haired girl: I don't care~! All of this makeup is icky, and the other girls are so boring!
>Char?: You don't like them? But all of them are from the highest class of society, just like you are-
>Orange-haired girl: Dumb-dumb, you only invited all of them to try and make me jealous. It-didn't-work~.
>Char?: Ple, you know that I live to serve your every desire.

As "Char" reaches out to pull the girl into an embrace, Roux tosses her other heel at him, causing him to roll away just before it hits him.

>Char?: Miss Louka?! Why did you-
>Roux: Pervert! Lolicon! Grooming degenerate! Little girl, get away from this creep! No matter how sweet his words sound, the guy is just trying to trick you into-

Grabbing "Char's" cheeks, Ple presses her lips against his, maintaining an invasive kiss as she pulls back to stare Roux down with an arrogant smirk.

>Ple: Feeling jelly, blueberry lady? Char is mine~.
>Roux:..."Blueberry lady"? What...?
>Ple: Bath time, Char. Now. Right now. Now!
>Char?:...Your wish is my command, Mistress.

Lifting up Ple's small body, "Char" keeps his eyes forward as he ascends a set of stairs with the young girl in her arms, her tongue sticking out mockingly at Roux.

>Roux:...Gross.

>>23856470
Welp I guess we’re not getting Roux. Are we gonna get cucked out of the rest of the dweebs from Shangri-La and Elpeo Ple as well? The way things are going it looks like we’re getting a bunch of jobber scrubs as our main aces apart from what we already have, with Christina and maybe Mr. Plot Armor himself Yazan as highlights.

>>Side 2 Mayor: Examples will be made. Just enough for the public to understand that this is necessary for their own safety that they comply. Riot Police are authorized to use lethal force...
Well I'm sure that'll come back to bite us, but this feels within the realm of acceptability for us. I genuinely didn't think that they'd pay more than they could afford, but I guess we terrified them enough.
>>23856332
Glad we could salvage the Argama, though, we desperately need to replenish those ship losses. And I'm glad that I was correct to think Jerid could not be trusted with a huge sum of money, but to his credit he's at least spending it on other things as well.
>>23856496
If the Shangri-La kids are still how they should be, I imagine they could be convinced to jump ship as long as we're not totally evil or otherwise repellant compared to the presumably decent treatment they're going to get. I do actually think actively seeking them out to deny them from Axis would be like a trap where we'd just incentivize them to leave, so I think we should wait for the opposite to happen. That is, if they'd even be capable of leaving, seeing what Axis can do to people.
>>
>>23856513
We'll just need to lower the tax rate if we ever learn about the crackdown and to make sure we keep them protected. After all we don't know about the belt they're tightening to offer us this extra money we just need to tell them to loosen it when we learn.
>>
>>23856509
Ple is like ten years old so presumably someone had to teach her to act like this.
>>
>>23856513
>as long as we're not totally evil or otherwise repellant compared to the presumably decent treatment they're going to get.
We need to get the Immortal Fourth assholes and Jerid’s proud boy army under control then. And make sure Leila doesn’t relapse, which I’m a little worried she might. Also Judau is a pretty good natured fella and the others are most likely going to go where he goes (after Beecha and Mondo learn that Judau is better to work with than Axis, anyway), but he also had a fairly consistent group of leadership in Bright and Astonaige that also kind of let him do his own thing and knew when to get out of the way. Jerid’s leadership is erratic and he’s a bit of a busybody, so I’m a little worried Judau would chafe under his leadership. Depending on how much Haman wants his dick I’m a little worried she might just be like “oh yeah you can just be my cool right hand guy who makes his own rules” which certainly has its appeal to a dude like Judau assuming he can stomach the freakshow at Axis and Leina doesn’t nag him out of it due to the obvious stranger danger involved.
>>
>>23856491
It is probably a good thing we didn’t go here just yet, with only Kamille and his girls coming here evil ple surely would have been attracted to the stronger newtype and the fact that his girls are likely what she considers “fun”(martial artist, another girl who likes older men, autistic newtype) so that would’ve been more tard wrangling of yet another newtype who wants to hang around Kamille and probably Roux
>>
>>23856528
It entirely depends on who's ship Judau finds himself on, Jerid doesn't really bother Kamille's team probably because he understands they're a bit special in how they function so he'd let Judau do whatever as long as it isn't a active harm.

Beecha and Mondo however will be beaten silly the moment they pull their stunts

>>23856442
>Glemy fumbles Roux even after presumably taking lessons in womanising
Yeah he just can never quite pull it off, can he
>>
>>23856615
Not sure how this Ple would be if we manage to somehow get her away from Glemy (is Ple Two still on the table? Maybe she’s more “normal”, apart from the obviously traumatized child soldier tough guy thing she does), but in canon despite Ple’s nonsense causing problems for the Gundam Team she was one of their best pilots and pretty much did her best to solve whatever mess she caused.
This one seems a fair bit more selfish and clingy but if she’s like the canon Elpeo I feel like the tardwrangling is mostly restricted to her wandering off and being mildly annoying about her onii-chan, which is a fair upgrade from Leila “Total Kobayashi Death” Raymond and Four “Improvised Chiropracty” Murasame, and Jerid’s general lack of discretion. You’d just have to get her to not want to fuck Kamille (basically demonstrate that whatever nonsense she has going with Glemy is the result of Glemy being a massive pedophile and not how normal human interaction works) and give her the affection that’s normal for a ten year old, which is all she really wants.

>>23856619
I dunno, he absolutely is the kind to burst into the room and be like “we gotta attack this place NOW” because if nothing else he’s pretty easily distracted. Very different leadership style than Judau enjoyed under AEUG. At least he asks Kamille for the final say now.

>>
>>23857231
You seriously think this ple is anywhere close to how she is in actual ZZ? The point of the scene is to show the dynamic between glemy and puru are completely flipped
>>
>>23857456

With the exception of Mashymre, Chara and maybe Mineva herself, I think it's safe to assume that much of the headliners of Axis are wildly different from their canon selves.
>>
>>23857456
My reasoning is just at the end of the day, she’s still Ple. She’s got the same general motivations (attachment to an older man, love of baths, low tolerance for boring shit, desire to be doted upon), it’s just it seems like she’s been overindulged and has swapped out “I’m this person’s younger sister” with “I’m this person’s girlfriend.” Christ knows where she picked this up but given that Glemy attempted to embrace her FIRST it’s probably him. He was grooming Leina into being a high society bitch in canon after all. He probably tried to do the same thing here to make her dependent on him and to satisfy his weirdo fetish for proper young ladies and it backfired because Ple does what Ple wants, hence her preference to get the fuck out of this shitty party and go home to do Ple things.

Obviously she’s a weirdo but unless this is a totally different character just with Ple’s face, I feel like the same shit probably would work if you can just get her to knock off the Quess impression.

Who knows, Ple could have been cyberized though. That’s probably not necessary given Elpeo was an extremely powerful Newtype already but honestly I have no idea what the fuck Haman is doing.

Personally it’d be neat if we could score Ple Two and turn her into our Marida or something, assuming Ple Two is even active and not in a tube somewhere.
>>
>>23857654
>Who knows, Ple could have been cyberized though.
I'm thinking that the red soul patch tattoo is a representation of someone who's been enhanced personally that or she's not recognized as a Newtype by Axis at all which would be very strange. We'll need to see a couple more potential newtypes to figure that out.
>>
>>23857921
Could be that if something happens to Mineva, she's the next person who gets altered and takes her place.

While Axis initiates numerous full-scale offensives against the Titans undermanned and weakened line to clear a path for the orbit of Earth and to ready a beachhead for their plans to secure Luna II, Mashymre Cello continues his "good will" operation to the Colonies of Side 1, delivering containers of food, medical supplies and propaganda of Mineva Zabi's generosity.

>Pampa: Sir Cello, our squadron has confirmed the locals of Island Ease have issued their full support for our cause! The supplies we delivered are already being circulated!
>Mashymre: Magnificent work, my friends! How recruits did you manage to enlist?!
>Wyme: W-well, that is...they were quite thankful, but none of them were willing to directly join the crew.
>Beanne: It is only a matter of time until the ones with spines step forward though. Who wouldn't want to march with histories winners?

>Illia: Everyone is dismissed!
>Mashymre: H-huh? What is the meaning of-

The Gaza Storm Squadron shoot one another awkward looks, before complying and stepping out from the coordination room, along with the other faithful Officers to Mashymre. As the room is fully emptied, Mashymre looks around, before moving to join the others.

>Illia: Not you, Mashymre. You need to hear some truth for once, not the delusions they are just parroting back to you.
>Mashymre: Delusions?
>Illia: We are being thrown empty platitudes and hollow thanks for our precious resources. This cluster of Colonies were the first to suffer from the Federations refusal to retreat during the One Week War, but the public still chooses to blame Zeon for its destruction.
>Mashymre: You are being pessimistic. Should we not offer those with justice and honor in their souls a chance to set that desire free?
>>
>>23858066

>Illia: Being wasteful with our precious supplies is an insult to all of those who gave their lives to ensure we had them for the journey to Earth. While some may be genuinely thankful for what we have provided, those capable of serving will not step forward unless they are shown that we are worthy to stand alongside, rather than us just being their breadwinners.

Mashymre struggles between his idealism and rationality, desperate to not allow his hopes to be snuffed out by Illia's words.

>Mashymre:...Let me confer with them.
>Illia: Sir Mashymre-
>Mashymre: Should their advice not bring us willing comrades, I will completely trust in your wisdom.

Illia closes her eyes, giving Mashymre a small nod.

>Illia: Mashymre. Will you obey whatever the Vizier asks of you?
>Mashymre: Why would you ask me such a thing? Of course I will any command that she-
>Illia: Her wisdom may mean abandoning that desire you have. Can you truly accept what she may decide for you?
>Mashymre:...I am going to surpass him. The Red Comet will not steal her heart away from me.
>Illia: Mashymre, you fool...

Leaving Illia to quietly sulk, Mashymre enters into a restricted section of the Endra, where hundreds of urn jars are held in reinforced containers. Taking hold of a specific urn, Mashymre places his rose against it.

>Mashymre: Comrades, give me a sign! Direct me to those who share our holy and just values! Grant them the chance to serve, just as all of you loyally did! My brothers, all I ask for you to show me the way!

The Endra's proximity alarms begin to screech across the ship, with a small meteoroid nearly impacting the ship as it prepares to make impact with the colony of Shangri-La.

>Endra Officer: Command Cello, please report to the bridge! The Colony of Shangri-La is about to be struck by a foreign object!

Damn that's earlier. Guess we skipped the final battle at Gryps in Zeta and went right into ZZ. If there's an option to head to Side 1 we should probably take it. Judau and his crew getting inducted into Groomer Zeon this run would be horrible. Just imagine the shit the ZZ team would go through. If we get pulled into a bunch of hijinks and end up chasing after then we should probably cut it short if possible. Like if Beecha and Mondo defect to our side we should just take them and leave. Don't even give those two a chance to run back to their friends, make them stick with us and turn them into true Olympians.
>>
>>23858088
Gottn is dead already??? What the hell happened
Idk what happens with Mashymre on Shangri-La without any other faction present to create a conflict (I'm guessing there's little to no Titans there, certainly no major characters) but fortunately he has like the exact opposite characteristics needed to recruit Judau & Co.

Arriving on the bridge of the Endra with his head held high and his chest puffed out, Mashymre demands to be briefed on the Colony that had been struck by the rogue meteoroid.

>Mashymre: Why am I finding nothing on this colony in our travel registry?
>Endra Officer: The per capita rate for that Colony in particular had flagged it for being ignored by the homeland.
>Mashymre: Whatever this "Purrcapitcha" affliction affecting them is, it is nothing that our intervention can't fix!
>Endra Officer: N-no sir, its "Per Capita". To simplify what the homeland means by that is the general value of the Colony is substantially lowered due to a multitude of factors, primarily prime and economic-
>Mashymre: We actively ignored a Colony beset by lawlessness and order?! The Queen would never be so heartless or thoughtless! These people have suffered in silence from the Federations rule, and we came here in the first place to show our superior values as the successors of Zeon!
>Illia: With all due respect, there is a very understandable reason why this Colony in particular was flagged to be ignored.
>Mashymre: Our fallen gave us this sign! That this bureaucratic error has kept us blinded to the uncut gems waiting to be fully realized-
>Illia: Please remember what you agreed to, Sir Mashymre. Is this really the place you want to place your absolute faith on?
>Mashymre:...Press forward, and let us show the people of "Shanri-La" our virtues in full! Grant them anything they require for this recent tragedy!

Illia steps out from the bridge, patting her slightly flushed cheeks to calm herself down.

>Illia: (Please be right about this, Sir Mashymre. Make me a believer.)

Meanwhile near the impact site of the impacted space rock, a small group of Junkers contemplate a plan to capitalize on the incident.

Unless I have forgotten some scene or other, I believe Gihren never uses the terms Earthnoid or Spacenoid in the anime. This being because, he is not personally keen on the idea of leading a grand crusade in the defence of all spacenoids, he is specifically wanting to lead Zeon to fight against the Earth Federation and nothing else - he doesn't want to share the spoils of victory with the other spacenoids. Other figures such as Degwin are more in favour of presenting Zeon as a leader of the spacenoids, the idea being to encourage other Sides to join Zeon's war (of course this concept is utterly dead within a few days of the war beginning).
I think Zeon's pre-war positive relations with Side 6 were a Degwin policy, for example.
Anyway, the point is, "Spacenoid" is not just a pro-Zeon dogwhistle here, because even Gihren himself didn't use it in that way. If anything the Titans have done more to poison the implications of that term than Zeon have.

It'd be really horrible and funny if we end up escalating the situation and have the ZZ team end up killing eachother.

Beecha and Mondo defect to our side because they're tired of Mashymre and Judau? Sure why not. As a show of loyalty have the pair fight alongside Kamille in open combat against Mashymre's forces which probably would include most of the ZZ team at that point. Though I imagine if Beecha or Mondo end up killing one of their friends they'd go absolutely insane.
>>
So, are there any Bardams left that we can capture in Pezun, or have we already destroyed them all?
>>23859612
I'm counting on Judau not to buy into Mashymre's nonsense for some food and to keep Leina as far away from his influence as possible.
>>
>>23859708
We almost certainly destroyed the entire contingent explicitly sent there, but considering the Titans can still manufacture them, there's probably still some method of production we might be able to glean. It might be a ways off if we even manage it, though, so it's probably best to focus on other projects instead of chasing the Bardam, like Sentinel era AEUG tech, or even just mid to late Gryps AEUG tech.
Speaking of which, since we kneecapped the Zeta Plus project, you think we'll even be able to get those now? And do you think it affected the development of the ZZ?
>>
>>23859708
>>23859734
we get AEUG and Titans tech, so we're probably going to get something out of controlling Pezun
>>
>>23859734

It's possible, the Zeta Plus project itself was canned for the AEUG specifically. Now that we're in a mixed tree we might be able to bring it back although I'm not sure if the biosensor would be on the table again. We should be able to get the ZII though since that's a Methuss derivative rather than a Zeta.
>>
>>23859737
Five imaginary dollars says we get a sadistic budget vote as in-story maintenance is a total bitch due to managing two different technology styles.
>>
>>23859737
As long as we can secure the Xeku line, I think we'll be just fine even if we lose the Bardams.
It'd be pretty ironic that we sperged the fuck out about the Barzam, made them redesign the fuck out of it only for it to get rekt by the Black Devils and for us to not even get it, though
>>
>>23859754
really his fault for not understanding Kamille simply knows better, to then try and fight the most famous squad in the Titans because his feelings got hurt
>>
>>23859734
Reviving the Z Plus line is probably more likely for us than getting our hands on more Titans ace transformables like the Gaplant and such, especially since half of them came from NT labs or Scirocco

Also fuck, being reminded of the Barzam has me imagining the timeline where we joined Axis and Kamille spergs the fuck out on whoever designed the Bawoo and tells them to fix that too

You're all forgetting that as of now Jerid is in control of development and is currently spending everything towards making the Gundam MK-III. Until that gets done Jerid's probably gonna have a stranglehold on all funds and development.

As for mainline units that'll get produced it'll probably just be more advanced AEUG MS that were already in production. Like those Nemo II's, Rick Dias' and Hyaku Shiki Kais. Updating those would probably be the cheapest options. Nemo III's, Schuzrum Dias', and maybe even Methuss Kais would be good. Though those are all ranged shooting machines and not frontliners.
>>
>>23860194
Does Jerid have a backup mobile suit to be reckless with in the meanwhile?

I think the Hyaku Shiki's all he's really got atm now that he's handed us the other Byarlant. Oh and the Xeku Eins commander type, which might be better?
>>
>>23860230
The Xeku Eins commander is being piloter by Leila who's with Kamille, while the Hyaku Shiki is Fa's machine now (it's yellow like the Methuss which is neat). There's probably a spare Hyaku Shiki Kai that Jerid could probably use though.
