Uoodo is actually the second best arc. Problem is that most people start watching and want rapid plot progression but Uoodo starts off very slowly. Just understand that it's mecha noir about a soldier with ptsd slowly regaining his humanity. Stick with it and Uoodo has a big payoff towards the end of the arc.
