For being Tomino's 2nd biggest work rarely see anyone talk about it. Is It any good or just another failure from the 80's?
>>
>>23859798
It's pretty good. A couple stretches of episodes can kind of drag, but mostly I found it interesting and well presented. Really, really nice battleship designs.
>>

>Tomino's 2nd biggest work
That's one way to bait people into a thread.
>>
>>23859798
It's his only side series he personally wants to expand on but can't, this resulted in two ass sequels. Me? Don't like it.
>>
>>23859798
It's also the first isekai anime ever. It deserves more love and recognition, honestly.
>>
>>23859957
Does the first aids patient get recognition?
>>
>>23859798
HWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>
>>23859957
You mean scorn.
>>

Isekai anime's problem isn't that it's isekai, but that it's usually shit.
>>
>>23859798
It’s worth watching. The first Earth episodes are some of Tomino’s best work, and the battles become really entertaining to watch near the mid point when both sides start developing better and better technology. I don’t remember any of the characters being infuriating like Zeta or ZZ Gundam, and the Isekai’d characters on both sides get a lot of development. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the final stretch of episodes though.

>infuriating like Zeta or ZZ Gundam
This nigga watching cartoons and getting mad at them lmao.
>>
>>23860221
Yeah infuriating might not be the right word, my nigger. Retarded might be better

>>
>>23861246
Did you cum on it?
>>
>>23861254
No I got it in an assortment and I'm selling off this and Master Asia
>>
>>23861263
>No
The I don't want it.
>>
>>23861312
Well if I do you're going to be paying double. What do you say?
>>
>>23861038
It looks much better when it gets repainted in the last couple episodes

I liked the first half and it's isekai adventure, political wheeling and dealing, and our fish out of water characters trying to deal with it to variously successful degrees in their own way.
The second half was mindless action in comparison and really leaning into battle of the week for battle of the week's sake.

Please take this webm of Prince William gleefully enjoying the carnage unfolding on tv which is totally not meta commentary.
>>
>>23861689
Retard.
>>
>>23859798
I liked Dunbine, but I admit the show really drags after everyone is sent to Upper Earth.
>>
>>23859798
Dunbine is one of the few good Isekais that exist, its actually funny how much better the mecha genre has done isekai than the usual slop that is out nowadays.

>>23859957
>>23860032
I genuinely love how Dunbine was really just a person being pulled into another world and not wish fufillment slop. That and the fact that what happened in Bryston Wells spilled over into Earth, most Isekai slop nowadays just has the MC stay strictly in the new world.
>>
>>23862127
Now say it without talking like a buzzword spewing vedditor.
>>
>>23861706
No see you're the dumb baby and I'm the stately old lady concerned for the well being of the world and the next generation.
I know its a little too abstract for you to understand.
>>
>>23860188
>The first Earth episodes are some of Tomino’s
Seeing the MC get disowned by his parents hit hard but was very realistic, especially for jap parents who care more about saving face than their own son.
>Wasn’t the biggest fan of the final stretch of episodes though.
It was frenzied crescendo leading up to the cataclysmic end, it wasn't perfect but the pay off was very nice.

>>23862132
I'm sorry you're such a faggot that needs muh wish fulfillment slop. Lemme guess your favorite animes are where the Mc are reborn as X and has a harem.
>>
>>23861252
Wrong.

you don't what to know why...

>more buzzwords
So this is the power of newfags.
>>
It started out very great but kept going downhill. When everyone got thrown onto earth it became bug gundam and was a slog.
>>
>>23859798
It drags a lot. It never uses its full potential (the reverse isekai part). The ending is edgy trashfire.
>>
>>23862141
idk I didn't really like the first earth episodes because of Shou's defense.
WHAT I WAS IN BYSTON WELL??? YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THAT IS YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME!!!! IM NOT AN ALIEEENN.
that whole arc was so absurd it took me out of it lol.
>>
>>23862219
At the time of release I remember most people were talking of WoR like it was a rare unicorn of great beauty.

The more I think about it it just seems like it's another ramshackle mess like brain power'd.
