>>23869661Amuro is meant to be originally from western Canada in some lore even though some other stuff implies Mexican or Japanese descent (nothing's really stopping him from being those things too but born in Canada though). Canada seems to make the most sense of those options because it feels like in the arc around the episode with his mother they were in North America, possibly mostly in the US, and then headed toward the Pacific Ocean + Asia. You'd think he wouldn't identify too much with the place since it seems like he moved to space full-time at like 6, but then somehow he knew how to find his way back to his exact house nearly a decade later.I don't know if the Universal Century is far enough in the future that "Canadian" would now be seen as its own distinct race or if he'd just be considered nonspecifically white/mixedalso yeah English voices
