Alright my knee grows, I am faced with a conundrum.I’ve heard that the Transformers Movie (the one from the 80s) is certified key no and unusually well animated but here’s the thing: I’ve grown on a diet of quality mecha shows like Evangelion, TTGL and Code Geass, I have no patience for merchandise-driven slop that drags on for longer than 24-ish episodes.Do I really have to slog through almost 100 episodes of a glorified toy commercial or can I just watch the movie without missing anything?

If you can't sit down and earnestly enjoy some G1 transformers I don't even wanna talk to you
With G1 Transformers you only really need to watch season 1( which is short and attempts to have some progress over time) and some( very select) episodes of season 2. Honestly you could skip season 2 really but it has some lore for the show in general if you’re interested.

The original TV show for Transformers was fairly good and was hardly a commercial. That and the comics are pretty top-notch.If you can't enjoy them and you need some overall drama and secrets and complicated stuff then you are a midwit. Fun things are fun.

>>23870713You can just watch episode one of G1 and then the movie, honestly. Most of the movie characters debut there anyway.
