Kira got the Mighty Strike pack, Athrun got the Z'gok armor. Might as well give Shinn something.
Funnel's don't suit Shinn's style
Rip off epyon and give it heat rods
He can make hardlight copies of the Destiny he doesn't need no stinking funnels.
>>23871142He got the Zeus Silhouette
>>23871142He already changed the color scheme of the Destiny to Rey's colors.
>>23871142With Freedom Zero being a prequel, he won't get shit for a long time, if ever.
>>23871142>Give him funnelsHow? Unless Fukuda decided to do another SEED project where he makes Shinn the protagonist, where Shinn constantly thinks of what Kira-senpai would do that rivals to homosexuality, he ain't getting an upgrade.
>>23871157>>23871166These. He got his upgrades.
>>23871294>>23871166>>23871157Refine and downsize the silhouette into an integrated weapons pack, sword DRAGOONs replace the anti-ship sword, VSBRs replace the single cannon, full-on after images with mass
>>23871306>CE>VSBR
>>23871306>>23871320They technically already had VSBRs in the form of a multi-mode beam rifle/beam MG, but it was only ever used by Eurasia on their Hyperion and Hyperion Daggers and allowed them to fire through their hardlight barriers, and presumably any beam or hardlight barrier had it been mass-produced.
>>23871157Those were not real solid clones, zoomie
>>23871142He got lunamarie pussy
Best part about Freedom is it shows how ridiculously overtuned the Destiny already was that it didn't even need an upgrade to keep up with a new gen of mobile suits. Shinn just needed to stop thinking.
>>23872201It did get upgrades, just not as overt as Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice. It got the same Phase Shift Armor glowing joints that those two had to begin with, and got an improved reactor that didn't leave it powering down in the middle of the battle. Oh, and the panoramic monitor cockpit.
>>23872271it can also resupply other units with the Deutorion Beam emitter. Though this only really benefit the Impulse.
>>23871814Clearly anon won't be satisfied unless Fukuda "invents" something with an overly verbose foreign name that does the exact same thing
>>23872898The Cunkelskunkeltunkel is gonna be iconic, just wait and see.
>>23872992Screw that. I'm looking forward to when they unveil the Grimbusmcschlatt as the most devastating weapon
>>23872201>ridiculously overtuned>still can't beat Strike Freedom or Infinite Justice
>>23873035Shinn's resolve wasn't strong enough.
>>23871142ZEUS doesn't count?
>>23872271>got an improved reactor that didn't leave it powering down in the middle of the battleMy impression that they removed the bandaid that made the Destiny compliant to the nuclear treaty. Wasn't the original Destiny powered via a battery that is charged by its onboard reactor and it was the battery running out of power because the reactor couldn't keep up with the charging that made the Destiny retreat?>>23872458>Though this only really benefit the Impulse. The Impulse was built to operate with the deutorion beam via the Minerva and since the Minerva is destroyed and the Millenium doesn't have the deutorion beam I guess they gave it to the Destiny.
>>23874220>My impression that they removed the bandaid that made the Destiny compliant to the nuclear treaty. It was never complaint. It has the same power source that SF and IJ does.
>>23874220>Wasn't the original Destiny powered via a battery I've tried to research this topic and the answer varies, and is pretty confusing depending on what databook you read. I've read though like a dozen or so books Between Seed and Seed Destiny, Zaft was focused on trying to achieve the same firepower as last generation Gundams (Freedom/Justice/Providence). They faced two major problems:1. Battery capacity2. Power Transmission (how to transfer power from the battery/reactor to the various systems)Problem 1 was solved by using "Power Extender" technology used by Orb mobile suits. Zaft got the tech from Orb refugees fleeing when the Earth Alliance took over Orb.Problem 2 was more tricky. Apparently existing systems just couldn't handle transmitting enough power from the battery/reactor to the weapons. These new Second Stage weapons were very high output, and demanded a lot of power. Whatever power cables they used just wasn't good enough. This was solved with the deuterion energy transfer system. The databooks aren't 100% clear. But they describe the cables being upgraded to use a laser transfer system. So in my mind it's like real life internet cables. Old copper cables weren't has internet speed limits. We eventually upgraded to fiber optical cables which uses light to transmit data. A massive upgrade in speed over old copper cables. Same idea but apply that to Gundam. These upgrades allowed Second Stage Gundams to achieve near "Freedom Gundam" levels of firepower of last generation Gundams.Apparently Destiny Gundam swaps out the battery for a nuclear reactor, but Zaft Engineers made another problem. They upgraded Destiny's weapons. Destiny Gundam weapons, when at full power, are even MORE power demanding than 2nd Stage suits. When Destiny pushes everything to maximum (wings of light, beam shields, energy cannons, etc), the power requirements exceed what the nuke reactor can output. So Zaft added supplemental batteries that provide a boost.
>>23874249I remember at some point the theory was because Destiny's power system was a "Hyper-Deuterion Engine" that it was trying to do a treaty technicality by having the suit powered by a battery... that just happens to be constantly being recharged by an onboard nuclear reactor instead of by a remote beam from the Minerva. And that Destiny at high/max output could just gradually drain it's power at a faster rate than it was restoredBut I think that theory went nowhere because not only did none of the three other Gundams using the same system ever have the same problem (and not for lack of spitting masses of firepower everywhere) but even the Destiny never had it again either and it's one incident ended up being edited out of the show
>>23873035That was on Shinn.
>>23874289That theory might have been true at the beginning, but changed later on as more databooks and staff gave interviews. I believe the current lore is that Chairman Durandal simply lied to the generally public about Destiny Gundam's nuclear reactor. He purposely listed Destiny Gundam as ZGMF-X42S with "S" indicating battery powered. Normally nuclear powered suits have an "A" designation. Destiny should be called ZGMF-X42A. >But I think that theory went nowhere because not only did none of the three other Gundams using the same system ever have the same problem (and not for lack of spitting masses of firepower everywhere)The databooks are pretty interesting regarding this matter. The Strike Freedom actually does suffer from the same problem Destiny Gundam had with the weapons being very power demanding. However to solve this, Kira and the design team took a different approach. They removed the mirage colloid from the wings of lights, and tuned the wings for pure speed only. Strike Freedom had no after images, but this reduced the power demand. In addition, multiple small electrical power generators were installed in Strike Freedom's limbs and body help provide extra power for extended battles. This is likely why Strike Freedom outlasted Destiny Gundam during their battle.Lastly, Kira and the design team purposely removed as much phase shift armor from frame as possible. This lightened the suit and reduced power demands. The trade off is Strike Freedom is less armor made the suit more fragile. To solve this, the design team just decided to make phase shift run throughout the entire inner frame. That includes the inner skeleton and joints. That's why Strike Freedom glows gold. Basically Strike Freedom has less power output but is more efficient. Destiny Gundam is built around maximum output to defeat the enemy in shortest amount of time. Strike Freedom is the long distance marathon runner. Destiny Gundam is short distance sprinter.
>>23871142Make the top half of arondight detach making it a hugeass beam sword. Sorta like gif but with beams in between. Give it 2 of these. And 2 green cannons too, make em deployable hands free while using hands make the beams stronger with palma fiocina supplying power.
