Painting pure white on solid black is such a pain in the ass. At some point I just said screw it. This is as good as I can get those details in.

about making candy paint, can I just use black gloss on gray surfacer instead of black? I realized I bought a gray surfacer just because I ran out of it, but have no plan to actually use it.

>>23885474You can, black paint has good coverage anyway so the primer under it doesn't have any significant influence over the final product. The primer being a different color may also make it a little easier to make sure that you got every surface since it would be better visible than just black with a different finish

He's not bad, has about the same articulation as an SDCS GaoGaiGar or any of his super robot buddies that come with an inner frame. Colour correction is needed as they give you only a handful of painted parts and no stickers whatsoever. It's an understandable amount of partsformation apart from the fact that the white piece for his front skirt is meant to be stored inside the train thing otherwise - and you'd have to fish it out with a toothpick every time. Best to set it aside with Gaine's torso, which is just about the only spare part you'd be left with.Exkaiser probably could benefit from more colour correction but either him or the humble GM II is next, a pretty fun build overall though. I appreciate the extra hand for his cool speech.

I was building two to serve as escorts for the ReHaze but since Effect Wings announced they're making an Advanced Kehaar II set I shelved the other one for the time being.They all look so pretty bros. Damn near brings a tear to my eye. No need to look at the illustrations all day and wonder "One day." anymore. They're all right here in my room now.

Question: is the Gelgoog 1.0 any good? The Johnny Ridden custom and Cannon version got reprinted recently and since it’s pretty damn cheap compared to the 2.0 which goes for over a $100 since it’s only been reprinted once. It’s so damn rare now that it’s only about ten or twenty dollars cheaper than the Uma Lightning and Ridden retools. The 1.0 looks really weird but it’s closer to the line art I suppose and the plastic quality looks really shitty but I’m desperate for a 1/100 goog.

It's also an excuse to Premium the shit out of them with all the extras.As for why G is getting this treatment and not X, keep in mind that the Shuffle Alliance kits already started several years back, and X only restarted getting love due to the GWX anniversary which they only really kicked off last year. Who knows, we might eventually see "standard" Shuffle Alliance hitting the shelves as retail, that happened to the Wing upgrades awhile back. It would still be in character for Bandai, since a lot of the P-Bandai catalog re-sells you the entire retail kit alongside the extra parts instead of selling only the extra parts.
